Log cabin with lake view

The log cabin is located in the countryside in the village Löa. The cabin has no electricity or running water, how to cook in the wood stove, get water from the pump and get to use the outhouse, just as it was before. If it's too cold to swim in the lake, there is a shower to borrow in another building. Gasoline refrigerator to store food in. On the farm you can get help to feed calves, sheep and chickens and pick eggs for breakfast. Moose and beaver safari with the cottage owner as a guide can be booked. Boat, kayak and raft available to rent.

FredrikLars-gården adjacent to Nordmarksbergs Herrgård: 19th century or older. In this farm, the great inventor John Ericsson's grandfather Nils (b. 1747 – 1790) has lived. On a rock in the grounds of the farm, there should be a curtain with the name of Nils. Picture of this stone can be found in Värmlandsarkiv's photo archive on a picture from 1955 (photo Lennart Thelander, pictures SEVA_11229_36 and SEVA_11230-1), but has not been found in the present day. It's probably hidden by mortar that's been covered over the rocks.

Unique and cozy home in newly renovated old plant for rafts. Timber floating took place over many years on the creeks in the area until the 60 's. The nearest neighbor is a beaver family in the creek next door. Swimming area with pier approx. 600 meters. Rowing boat and 2 canoes can be freely disposed of in Lake Bosjön. It is very sparse traffic in the area so you experience the silence along with the sounds of nature. Bedding and towels are provided for a cost of SEK 100/person. Wooden fire sauna by the lake can be rented.

It's a great experience to be able to have your "own" island 🏝️ just for your family! Live to the rhythm of the island, disconnect from the outside world and stop time for a week! And this is unexpected! We enjoyed the blackberries, swimming, fishing 🎣 (we had 2 crayfish), "idleness" in the sun, sauna, diving sessions, boat rides... We didn't have enough time! Thanks to our hosts for giving us this moment of respite from our daily lives!

Fantastic and calm cabin at the shores of a lake. This outstanding hut is not short of any amenities or equipment you might think of. Friendly contact with the owners as well as stunning sunsets included. I would definitely recommend this place to anybody seeking for a cozy getaway.

We had a great time in this traditional Swedish country house in a quiet rural setting. The equipment is great and clean. The bathroom could use a renovation, but the rest of the rooms were immaculate and beautifully furnished. Jonathan was a great host, he gave us tips for the area and made the sauna by the lake in front of the house available. That was a great experience. All in all a great stay, just as we imagined it!

Cozy, quiet and beautiful cottage, with great kitchen in a very nice area. There are lots of outdoor activities to do (great bike and hiking area!) Best bring a car or bike to get around, most trails its a short bike or car ride away and closest groceries are 2.5 km from the place. Very quiet, there was no sound from neighbours or the church at all, and only occasional traffic on the road nearby. Highly recommended!
