Family-friendly holiday rentals in Hakusan

We had a nice time in this apartment. It is spacious and is centrally located in Takayama. Everything was very clean and tidy.

It was a very convenient location, with sightseeing spots and public baths within walking distance of Kanazawa Station. The interior was spacious and comfortable, and the host's response was quick and wonderful.

Our stay at Iori’s place in Hida-Furukawa was nothing short of amazing! From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with warm hospitality and thoughtful touches that made us feel right at home. The house itself is a beautiful blend of traditional Japanese charm and modern comfort—immaculately clean, cozy, and well-equipped with everything we needed. They even have the heated floor, an onsen bath and very comfortable beds! The location was perfect, nestled in the heart of Hida-Furukawa, allowing us to easily explore the town’s picturesque streets, historic temples, and serene canals. Iori was an exceptional host—friendly, responsive, and full of great recommendations for local food, sights, and hidden gems. We got lost in the wrong station once and we're very grateful that they came and help Staying here truly made our trip unforgettable, and we can’t wait to return! I would recommend this place any time! The breakfast was so lovely every morning. It was lovely to feed the carp in the morning and walk the quaint and peaceful town. The outdoor back was so nice, I even relaxed and listened to the rain one night while soaking. It was perfect. I’m so happy I stayed in Hida.

Good location and quiet place. The beds were hard but that is quite usual in Japan.

What a privilege to stay in an Edo style home. We enjoyed exploring the home and especially loved the bathroom and water trough out the front We drove here from Takayama and found it to be a great stop for a couple of nights with beautiful walks close by. We explored the kiso valley and the local neighbourhood (Mizufune Post Town).

This place was awesome. The house has been restored to feel truly special. Everything is nice and comfortable and just felt like we had everything we needed. Thierno gave us a thorough rundown of everything we needed to know and made us feel welcome. Any follow up questions I had were quickly answered, but generally we didn't need anything because everything was already great. We had our toddler with us and while they didn't have any crib or baby chair, we found the space to be great for her nonetheless. We had 4 adults, which was comfortable, but anymore might start to feel a little cramped. The only downside to this place is that if you plan to walk back from the old town, it's about 5-10 minutes of walking uphill without much shade. This was a little rough, so we figured out it's better to just walk over to the train station and hop in a cab back up instead. Would absolutely recommend staying here and will look at other Iori locations in the future.

This house is pretty large and fits quite well for family travel -- either by car or train. It is easy to find the house and the host provided very detailed guidance about how to use the facilities. The house looks old by the looking outside but inside it is well maintained and clean. The rooms may be a little bit cold, but they are equipped with air conditioners in different rooms so there won't be a problem. In a word I think this is a good place to stay -- considering for holidays the hotel price in Toyama is crazy.

We had three very nice days. Between Tokyo and Kyoto, it was the perfect place to rest and enjoy nature. A nice walk leads from the house to a small mountain. In addition, there are impressive quarries to see. Would come back!

Since we were planning to cook dinner ourselves, the kitchen was very well equipped! The touristy spot is within walkable distance.

We stayed as a group of four families in the nursery school for a stay.The children were very excited about the two beds.I ate dinner in the kitchen, but usually guests don't use the kitchen and dishes?It was not enough for a large group, so if you are staying or cooking with a large group, I think you should bring additional paper plates, etc.There was a suspicion that I lost a lot of things just before checking out, but the cleaning staff was also happy to find it, which was helpful.We may use it when we have a party with the same members again.Thanks in advance!

The couple who own this AirBnb were very kind. They gave us a free bike rental the day we checked in— had wonderful views of mountains, Sea of Japan, rice fields and great cycling paths! Accommodation was perfect for our needs! Thank you!!

The place is cozy and clean. The location is great, within the walk reach of Toyama Station. The host is very friendly, helpful, and easy to communicate. Would recommend!

We had a fantastic stay at this Airbnb! It was a great fit for our family of five. It was comfortable, spotless, and thoughtfully set up. The neighborhood was conveniently close to everything we needed, including the train station, restaurants, and shops. The hosts were very organized and left a helpful guide with clear instructions for using all the appliances and amenities, which made settling in super easy.

We had a short stay of one night. We enjoyed the apartment very much. There's everything you need. Marina was an excellent host and supported us a lot. We will be happy to come back!

I changed the time of my stay twice, thank you Naomi for your understanding, and thank you Naomi's mother for warmly welcoming us and introducing the house in detail.Although the house is relatively old, it is fully equipped with all kinds of items, and everything you need is there.The only thing that is a little short is that it is 20 minutes from Gaoshan Station and the bus station, because Gaoshan City itself is not big, this distance seems a little far.If you come from the station with a suitcase, it is recommended not to follow the navigation, you can walk along the river from Miyakawa Asahi, the road here is good for pushing the suitcase.

Nice host and great place. Yoko’s place can host large group of people like us, walking distance to morning market, tourist spot street, free parking lot. Only the staircase need to be extra attention, but I think is quite normal in Japan. Overall everything is good for us.
