Family-friendly holiday rentals in Hakusan

We had a fantastic stay at this Airbnb! Our family of seven adults and one baby thoroughly enjoyed our time here. The house is clean, new, and beautifully maintained. The facilities are top-notch, and the outdoor spring tub was a highlight for all of us—so relaxing! The host was incredibly responsive and made sure we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Overall, this place is worth every penny, and we would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a great getaway. Thank you for a wonderful experience!

Absolutely perfect stay in this onsen bathhouse! Hiroto-san spoke to us fluently in English and introduced some places to go for our stay. The place is 500-ish years old and very well maintained for it's age. The onsen was really fun with 43°c medicinal pool, 41°c, 38°c epsom salt, and 1 very cold pool. And a traditional charcoal sauna that felt like fire went into my nose when I was breatheing. loved it! Had an amazing final night as we chatted away drinking sake and beer with Hiroto-san while talking about our travel and life experiences. I would definitely come back here if I go to Japan again. Takayama is beautiful, and this stay made it so much better. Thank you Hiroto-san, for the unforgettable experience here!

Taga's place was amazing!! Good location in walking distance of markets, very comfortable and homey. Wish we could stay longer! Taga is a great host, showed us around, responsive, even got us a Thai map! Definitely recommended!

This Airbnb was without a doubt the best property we have had the privilege of experiencing in a magical part or the world. Not only was the place amazing but the hosts went above and beyond to ensure we were comfortable from bringing over more pillows to restocking our fridge with amazing local drinks and even helping with advice about restaurants and obtaining the reservations for us. Furthermore the breakfasts that came in the morning we sensational using local ingredients as well as catering for the kids with western food on alternative days.This is first time I have provided such a glowing review and it is entirely worth it. Thank you to the team at Lori for looking after our little family as we explored your beautiful town and it's surroundings.

Great place! I went with my daughter and we enjoyed our stay – and the bath – very much. Calm street not too far away from center. A small playground just in front of the house. Thank you!

We really enjoyed our stay. The house is beautiful and looks exactly like the photos. There is a beautiful park directly behind the house, and it snowed while we were there, which was spectacular. Takayama is a relatively small town, so almost everything is walkable from the house. Iori manages several properties in the town and does a great job. I suspect that any property managed by Iori would be a great choice.

Notre séjour chez Iori était magique! Nous aurions souhaité rester plus que 3 nuits. Nous avons adoré Takayama et le logement y était pour beaucoup. Tout de l'acceuil au départ était très professionnel et on a senti qu'ils prenaient soin de leur clients. Ils sont aussi réactif dans la communication. Le logement style traditionnel est très beau et nous avons aussi adoré le petit déjeuner à la japonaise le matin. Ce logement est un budget mais je trouve que cela vaut la peine de mettre le prix pour avoir au moins une expérience premium lors d'un séjour au Japon. Nous avons adoré! Je vous le recommande lorsque vous irez à Takayama!

We really enjoyed the house itself, as it was so very comfortable and perfectly located, but also the local restaurants. There is a great yakitori place called Iburu very close to the house, which I highly recommend. It was a little pricey but some of the best grilled chicken I’ve ever tasted. Also, a new coffee shop called Pinecone was a really nice discovery. They don’t open till noon, but the young owner is a fluent English speaker who loves to chat with the customers. He also sells a selection of craft beers (in cans) from around Japan. We bought those to take home and enjoyed drinking them at the house in the evening. A lovely 125 year old Japanese sweet shop is close by, too. And the hot springs! Finally, on our way home back to Shiga, we stopped at a little place called Ippei Sushi. The best sushi I’ve ever had. ¥2,200 for a lunch set fit for a king. You should get there before 11! All in all it was a spectacular holiday. We look forward to going again next year.

房子雖然是老房子，但很整潔，設備齊全。天氣冷，我們聯繫房東要求加被子，房東人很好立刻協助替我們加了很多被子。浴室有兩個，左邊的那個浴室水壓很充足。房子的暖氣也夠，下次再來富山也會再住在這裏。

Wir hatten drei sehr schöne Tage. Zwischen Tokio und Kioto war es der perfekte Ort um sich auszuruhen und die Natur zu geniessen. Ein schöner Spaziergang führt vom Haus auf einen kleinen Berg. Ausserdem gibt es beeindruckende Steinbrüche zu sehen. Würde wieder kommen!

Since we were planning to cook dinner ourselves, the kitchen was very well equipped! The touristy spot is within walkable distance.

保育園の仲良し4家族でお泊まり会のために利用させていただきました。子供たちは2段ベッドに大興奮でした。夜ごはんはキッチンで食べたのですが、普段あまり宿泊者の方もキッチンやお皿は使わないのか？大人数での利用分までは足りなかったので、もしも大人数で宿泊や料理をする場合は追加で紙皿など持ち込むといいと思います。チェックアウト直前に色々とものを無くした疑惑がありましたが、清掃のスタッフの方も快く探してくださり助かりました。また同じメンバーでお泊まり会をするときは利用させていただくかもしれません。よろしくお願いいたします。

The couple who own this AirBnb were very kind. They gave us a free bike rental the day we checked in— had wonderful views of mountains, Sea of Japan, rice fields and great cycling paths! Accommodation was perfect for our needs! Thank you!!

We had a fantastic 6-day stay at Yuki’s place and highly recommend staying in this wonderful neighborhood close to everything you’ll want to see in Takayama. Yuki is a great, attentive host and we’d love to stay here again another time. Everything was perfect!

일본의 전통 가옥을 즐기고 싶은 분들께 추천합니다. 깨끗하게 리모델링 되어 화장실이나 샤워실 사용이 편리했습니다. 또한 다른 일본 집들보다 계단이 덜 가팔라서 어린이들이 왔다갔다하는데 문제가 없었습니다. 비 바람 때문에 택시를 타고 다녔는데, 날씨가 좋다면 버스나 걷기도 괜찮습니다. 오미쵸 시장까진 충분히 걸을 수 있는 위치입니다. 체크인도 편리했고, 친절하게 질문에도 잘 대답해줬습니다. 다음에 가나자와에 온다면 또 묵고 싶습니다.

The apartment was little but with all the necessities. The location is not the closest but fine enough to reach from the station in 15 min by tram. It was not the easiest to find, I'm glad that I met a lady who guided me to the apartment because it's quite hidden. Apart from these aspects, very satisfied with overall. Recommended!

Very friendly owner and easy check in process, owner came down to show us the place and give us recommendations, very beautiful walk down the river right next to the house.

Great home to stay in. Close proximity to old town, restaurants and shops. Home was clean, all amenities provided and a responsive host.
