Houseboat holiday rentals in Haarlemmermeer

The houseboat itself is a dream and superbly located, if on the one hand you love the beauty and tranquility of the countryside, sheep and green meadows on your doorstep, but on the other hand also like to go to the beach or to the cities. The train is quickly reached and that is a big plus in the parking situation in Amsterdam. Leonora and Erwin were easy to reach and always there for us when we had questions. Super friendly hosts! Thank you so much dear ones!

We thoroughly enjoyed a long weekend aboard Johan's houseboat, in a great location in the Jordaan! It was an experience simply not available in a hotel or B&B. We drank morning coffee and late afternoon cocktails on the deck whle soaking up the few remaining days of late summer sun. It was ideally located close to neighborhood restaurants, shops, and even weekend organic food and flea market, and a short walk to tourist attractions in the old city center. If not up for a longer walk along the canal to the museum quarter and beyond, a public transportation options were always available nearby. Communication prior to arrival and during our stay was proactive and prompt. The inside of the houseboat was even more spacious than we anticipated, and the beds were comfortable. We'll definitely opt for a stay here during our next visit to Amsterdam!

I cannot recommend this boat enough. I wish I was back there right now! What a lovely surprise that it's even better than the photos. Extremely clean, excellent finish, very unique and an overall beautiful space. Location is lovely, a short walk to everything and easy tram access if you don't feel like walking. Leaving the best till last... Sietske is a wonderful and kind host. She couldn't do enough for us and made us feel extremely welcome. Thank you so much for helping make a big birthday even more special!!

We absolutely loved our stay at Anouk’s place. It was extremely comfortable for 4 people and had a wonderful living space that felt comfortable and homely. We loved having access to the bikes and despite having inclement weather it was an easy ride to the wonderful Zaanse Schans and the old windmills. Quintessential Amsterdam! The jewel on the crown was when the rain finally stopped, we were able to experience the stunning canal view from the moored boat at the back. Unfortunately the weather hadn’t permitted us to use the boat to explore the other canals but it is definitely something we would love to do on a future visit. Anouk was fabulous at communicating and left comprehensive information for us to make the most of the area. We loved dining at her favourite restaurant and probably made our mark as we were leaving! (Another story!) Ha! We definitely caught the spirit of the place! Could not recommend this highly enough. Thanks for a fabulous stay 🙏🏽❤️

Hanco’s house boat was just perfect for our stay. The location was perfect and we could easily walk to everything that we wanted to see, and there was a fantastic supermarket (Ekoplaza) and cafe deli (Stach) a 5 min walk away. We also enjoyed watching the coots and their chicks in a nest right outside the window! Hanco was incredibly helpful and responsive, and kindly put a travel cot up for our arrival.

Great space, great host! Hadewych was so responsive and helpful. I just loved the charm of the boat, it was a really neat experience! The bed was SO comfortable, I slept wonderfully. I do wish the couch was more comfortable though, was not conducive to getting comfy after a long day out exploring. It is an older boat so smells a bit musty and a few cobwebs in the chandelier, but you are able to open the windows and get the fresh air in which is very nice. Kitchen was well equipped, just didn't have a freezer which I wanted to store ice and ice cream etc. Had a problem with the pump but Hadewych was quick to remedy the situation. The location was superb - there was a fantastic grocery right around the corner (the produce is delicious!!), a lot of restaurants, cafes, etc. Overall a really great experience that I will cherish!

We had a great stay at Michael’s place, it was a beautiful house boat in a very peaceful quiet location. It was a good distance to walk to the free boat that runs to Amsterdam central. There was a free bottle of Prosecco in the apartment and Michael even bought us a second and some chocolate for a miscommunication on the first night. The bed was comfy and everything was spotlessly clean. We would definitely stay here again.

We were so lucky to be able to stay in such a beautiful place! The beds were comfy, the surroundings were peaceful and beautiful... it was a lovely escape from the busy, city-center. We LOVED the use of the kitchen and the deck just off the kitchen. Hein was so good to have bikes available for us. There is little available directly near the home but a 10 minute bike ride along the lovely road and over the bridge gets you to all you could want. We were sad to leave our Amsterdam home and will hope Hein's home is available when we return.

We really enjoyed it. The surroundings are quiet and fantastically beautiful. The little cottage is something special. It was well equipped. We felt comfortable.

Staying on this houseboat in the Jordaan was an unforgettable experience! Waking up on the canal each morning felt like a dream—peaceful, scenic, and so uniquely Amsterdam. The location was ideal, tucked in a charming neighborhood with plenty of shops, cafes, and galleries within walking distance. The houseboat was cozy, clean, and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Communication with the host was excellent throughout. Highly recommend this special spot for anyone looking to experience the city from a different perspective!

We felt very comfortable. Great nature everywhere, very quiet, swimming opportunities and an ideal starting point especially for bike tours. Restaurants and supermarket nearby. I'm sure we'll be back.

Fern’s houseboat was AMAZING! Hands down my favorite Airbnb ever. Interior was beautiful and well kept. Location was close to so many shops, restaurants and the tram. Fern was very helpful and always responsive. Pepper was easily my favorite part of the stay though 😊 🐈‍⬛ ❤️

Very nice little boat for a short trip. Please note, one of the 2 beds (the one at the back of the boat) is not very large, you may be cramped if you are over 1m75. The toilets and showers are shared and on the pontoon but remain clean. Quiet environment with supermarket and bus a few minutes' walk away. The host is responsive, available and accommodating👍.

Our stay at Claire’s place was nothing short of magical. The location is hard to beat in the heart of Jordaan, steps away from great Dutch cafes, every restaurant we ate at was within a ten minute walk, every one was fantastic. As well as minutes walk from transit. Somehow though being in the middle of everything, being on the water in this houseboat makes you feel like you’re in your own private oasis. Claire has great taste, her home is designed impeccably, with one of the major highlights being the record player, listening to classics like the Beatles, Bowie, The Doors while sitting on the back porch taking in the incredible view of the canal. Bonus was the most efficient washer dryer I used during my 3 week stay in Europe and the large dishwasher. Had we stayed longer, we would have cooked, there was a fully stocked Chefs kitchen. Thanks for the perfect end to our adventure!

We were on the houseboat with two adults and two children (11 + 13 years) for an extended weekend. It was really fun! Especially for the two teenagers. The houseboat is new, clean and exploring the area with the small dinghy (tender) was a great experience for everyone. However, a mosquito net for the bed is recommended. Even in October it is still warm enough in the boat and the small oven (pellet) is completely sufficient for this time of year. The price is fine, because entertaining the houseboat seems quite elaborate to me.

This location is highly recommended! We felt right at home and could enjoy the quiet environment, where we also received visits from a few ducks and swans. You just feel relaxed in this environment. Great for recharging, if you come from Amsterdam, for example. In the area, you have - within walking distance - nice restaurants but also shops for groceries or fun shopping. Schiphol is nearby, but the air traffic could be heard from a distance. No problems. Beds were clean and exactly right in terms of hardness/softness. Kitchen had everything, so cooking is also possible. Bathroom was also spotlessly clean with a lovely shower cabin. In short, WS11 is listed with us as a super nice stay! Next to our location we saw WS17 (also from Anne): it was bigger and also looked beautiful. Ideal for families. #recommended

Beautiful small adjacent part-location with the residents. Bed, bathroom, terrace by the water. From noon to 9 pm in full sun. We didn't need anything more. 10 min walk to beautiful center of Haarlem. 11 min drive to Zee.

Monique made our stay phenomenal with every detail. She went the extra mile after learning we were coming to her place on our honeymoon. Monique is very responsive to messages and even came out to meet us when we arrived. I would recommend this houseboat to anyone who wants to go to Amsterdam but stay somewhere a little bit farther from the craziness! Honestly one of my favorite places I have ever stayed at!!

We were very satisfied for a long weekend in houseboat number 6. The few boats passing by during the day do not disturb, otherwise there is no other houseboat in the direct direction and you are really self-sufficient of everything. We had brief issues with the oven and toilet, our messages were responded to quickly and a technician came by. This can happen at the start of the season and it has not detracted from our recovery. We'd love to come back anytime!

We had a very nice stay in this houseboat. It is perfectly furnished, super clean and quiet. Great for relaxing and relaxing. A small outdoor area with chairs was also available and we liked it very much. Free parking directly in front of the door and uncomplicated communication with the host!
