It was the best stay I've had so far. It said to contact them in advance for the check-in time, so I contacted them after noon on the day. When I arrived on time, they welcomed me while shoveling snow, and they also helped me carry my luggage. The interior was very clean. There was plenty of dishes and cooking appliances, and there was no inconvenience in cooking. (There were no seasonings provided.) There were also three toilets and washrooms, so there was no problem staying with 10 people. I didn't use the washing machine, but there was a very large washing machine. It was Kusatsu Onsen in the middle of winter, but there was air conditioning and floor heating, so I didn't feel cold indoors at all. Bathing was decided at the bathing time as described, but I think it was necessary from a safety point of view. There are 3 showers, and the bathtub is large enough for 3 adults to stretch out. It was great with a clean and well-kept hot spring. There was also a heater, and the water didn't get cold. The location was about a 5-minute walk to a convenience store, a 5-minute drive to a supermarket, and about a 10-minute walk to Yubatake. There are many slopes and the roads are not cleared of snow, so if you are not used to it, you need to be careful when visiting in winter, but I think the location is perfect. After checking out, they kept our luggage so we could enjoy Kusatsu Onsen to our heart's content. I highly recommend this place to stay for those considering visiting Kusatsu.

It was a perfect place to stay with no bad things. Especially, there were a lot of board games and it was fun.The futon was also the easiest to sleep on ever!!!!I'm going again!

This was our second time at Yaeko-san's, and we highly recommend it! It is quite clean with a hot shower and comfortable futons. Yaeko-san is a kind host, and she leaves thoughtful touches throughout the space. We love exploring tohges, and this spot is central to quite a few of them. We look forward to our next trip, knowing this is a clean, comfortable lodging!

Amazing historical house. It's not for everyone but it's fascinating to see how people would've lived back then! Host was amazing as well. Left way more snacks and drinks than I could finish, and offered lots of great advice for the area, and always checking up on me to ensure I am comfortable!

This was one of my favorite Airbnbs in Japan. Moku, the superhost, was incredibly responsive and helpful throughout our stay. We truly felt at home in the property. The space is tastefully decorated, well designed, and very practical layout. 4 rooms with 3 toilets!. The kitchen was well-equipped with everything we needed. The private onsen was absolutely breathtaking — it felt like an incredibly luxurious experience, even surpassing many ryokans in town. We were completely blown away!

Overall, it was great. The always hanging indoor bath and the open-air bath were luxurious enough to feel like it was a waste for the three of us who stayed this time. The space in the living room, the sofa, etc. didn't look bigger in the photos, but rather I felt that the actual one was bigger. I think the sofa can seat about 6 people comfortably. The fireplace was also large and warm, and I was healed by watching the fire, and I was able to enjoy the pizza and barbecue in the pizza oven. Next time, I'd love to come back with my sister and family.

I rented this for myself as a getaway in the mountains with my guitar and I was not disappointed. From start to finish this was the best Airbnb stay I've ever had. I made the mistake of going late to the town and missed all of the buses and taxis services. The host graciously at the late hour called one for me and got me out of that situation. They went above and beyond to make sure I had an amazing stay. I will be staying here every single time I'm in the area.

Lovely home and decor, we really enjoyed our stay. Two things I wished it had: 1. proper gaurds along staircase and second floor corridor as the wide gaps on the railing means a baby / small child could easily fall through, so we had to keep a close eye on our baby at all times; and 2. a dishwasher would have been very much appreciated!

We had a wonderful stay! The place was easy to find, and the host was incredibly friendly and accommodating from the start. The property itself was beautiful and well-maintained. Our friends especially enjoyed the traditional-style rooms, which added a unique touch to the experience. The barbecue and campfire setup was a highlight—definitely a must-try! Our stay was absolutely glorious!! We wish we could have stayed longer. The location is up windy roads in the beautiful countryside. We used the sauna, plunge pool and hot bath whilst listening to the birds and waterfall nearby, we had a BBQ and fire in the pit in the evening then relaxed to watch a film with the projector - what more could you ask for! Ryosuke-san gave us local recommendations through message before and came to greet us when we arrived. Thank you for the perfect stay!
