Monthly Rentals in Gulf of Nicoya

After flight into Liberia, we were on the road to Sarchi to purchase furniture. Ana's place was an oasis of calm, with a delicious breakfast at a reasonable price. Although slightly off the highway, her directions, including photos and a map, could not have been more accurate or reassuring for a traveler arriving after dark in a country where map apps are not always reliable. The container we stayed in was simple but beautifully maintained. And the price was more than fair. Above all, Ana is kind and genuine appreciative of her customers.

This was a great home base for our visit. It was easy to get to from the ferry, and then lots to do close by. The house itself was more spacious than the pictures show, and then lots to pool was of course the highlight. Great for my son, who swam in it all the time. Great for bird watching as well. The restaurant was fantastic, and had a kids menu and play area. For the activities, Noelia was very helpful to organize things. For the turtle island and bioluminescence, we did all in one day. Would recommend splitting them up and also driving to the location rather than being picked up by boat. Was only half hr drive. And for bioluminescence they send you home via taxi because it is after dark. But both activities were amazing! Otherwise there are lots of things close by, and had everything we needed for our family. Loved it!

I loved staying at this place. It's super nice, very clean and tidy. The location is excellent, it is close to everything, so it was very easy to get around without hassle. Also, the pool was spotless, perfect for relaxing. I would definitely stay here again

La Casita Amarilla is a true gem! The gardens are lush and beautifully maintained—photos don’t do it justice. The home’s attention to detail is stunning, from colorful tile work in the kitchen and bathroom to stained glass windows handmade by Madeleine. Fresh coconuts grow onsite, and the gardener will happily cut them down for you! A short walk away is an ATV rental and Cabo Blanco Nature Reserve. Montezuma is about a 15–20 minute drive with beaches, shops, restaurants, and zip lining. The pool and hammock area are a dream—perfect for relaxing in nature. If you’re looking for peace and charm, this is it. Madeleine, Vincent, and Rob were amazing hosts—you can feel how much they love sharing this special place. I absolutely loved my stay!
