Cottage holiday rentals in Guimarães

We had a great week together with our 2 children aged 4 and almost 1. The facilities are Top, Manuela is always ready to help and the wine is fantastic. 2 very enthusiastic and sweet people who have made it a wonderful place. The hospitality made it even better. And Caramello was usually very cozy.

Very nice space, very clean and Mr. Carlos recommended some restaurants and many places to visit. Great for family, I recommend it.

This house is in the most STUNNING location with AMAZING views. We arrived early hours and Tiago was more than helpful at this time. We were told of the house’s rich religious history which is reflected in the artwork and decor of the house. 7 of us stayed for 8 days 2 couples and 3 teens More than enough space for everyone to have their own privacy and more than enough room for 10 people. The grounds had fig, Apple and lemon trees which we were told we are more than welcome to use. Aldi and Lidl were a 15 minute drive (we rented a car) which was perfect for evening barbecues (huge wood oven outside as well as small grills) The pool was stunning, we spent most days in there from morning till night. It’s a great size and easy to shade with umbrellas if needed. We left our inflatables there for the next person, which someone had also done before we arrived, which was a nice touch. We can’t thank Tiago enough for an amazing 8days. Will defo visit again

Beautiful house, amazing private location above a lake. Very relaxing being immersed in nature. House well kitted out and lovely features. We took our paddleboard and wonderful paddle boarding on the lake. Children loved the swimming and the ‘cold tub’ plunge pool. Thankyou Gerrit and Grace, we hope to return.

we were very nice the whole family a functional cute house the house owners live on and if you need them don't hesitate to help.te had the detail of leaving in the fridge a bottle of water and wine. if we ever come back in the area from catalunya we will definitely go,a pleasure to enjoy their place both good you could have a house like this,thanks

Calm and relaxing Sitio. We had a very good weekend at the Alambique house with access to the pool. We went on a horseback ride that we really enjoyed. We also use the paddle tennis court. Easy communication with host Georgina, always very accessible. Thank you!

Wonderful stay here for 5 days. Helena was quick and responsive throughout. When I arrived, I met Paula, Sofia, Martinho and Francisco who welcomed and showed me the house and area. So generous to offer me a bottle of wine, water, biscuits on my arrival. The house is cozy and peaceful with a view of the farm where the sheep roam during the day. Comfortable bed, linen and beautiful antique decor to keep with the theme. Kitchen has a small fridge, kettle, microwave and stove. Beautiful spaces to walk and rest under fruit trees, 2 swimming pools in a peaceful natural setting. Even my cat, Samson enjoyed it. For company, we also had a cute friendly dog, Nina. It is a short drive to centre of Fafe, a lovely town with charming architecture. Helena provided useful recommendations on what to do and where to go. Guimaraes is a beautiful place, only 20 minutes from the house. All in all, a great stay and I'm happy to revisit one day again. Thanks for a great stay!

I had a wonderful stay in this cozy stone house. The atmosphere is super quiet, ideal for those looking for rest in the midst of nature, and the house was impeccably clean and well-equipped. The hostess Célia was extremely friendly and attentive, received us with great cordiality and shared great tips for tours around the region. In addition, it was always available for any support we needed. I highly recommend and would definitely return!

Amazing place. We've spent a month there and everything was perfect. Nuno is very helpful and a friendly host. The place itself was above all of our expectations: fantastic view, super clean and comfortable. Felt right like home.

Very nice place for a quiet hard to find these days, especially close to a city already bustling like mo Guimarães. It needs a bit of maintenance but overall, it's a fantastic house

Spectacular! From the welcoming host who told us the history of the estate, to the recommendations of where to eat and what to see - this place was the star of our trip! We loved every minute of our peaceful, relaxing, luxurious stay. We certainly felt pampered by our host by every amenity they provided - always above and beyond reasonable expectations. I would absolutely go back....but I don't think I would be able to leave again! So many thoughtful, considerate touches. So close to everything we wanted to see and do. Great restaurants, great historical sights. From wandering the gardens, to sitting poolside in the shade, snuggling in the comfy beds - it was everything we could have hoped for. Wonderful cosy tiny house. Very clean and comfortable. You find everything you need. Enough privacy, still among local people. Quiet enough. Nice little balcony with sunshine almost the whole day. There is a good local restaurant around the corner and a somewhat more luxiourious one 12 minutes on foot. Good bed. Teresa gives you a warm welcome and has good advice on the area. It’s a good base to visit nothern Portugal.

I loved this Airbnb. It honestly felt more like a home than most Airbnb’s and this is quite a compliment. I have stayed in so many of these that I have learned the difference. It was well appointed so you could easily have meals at home. There is a barbecue and numerous charming outside seating areas. The property is beautifully landscaped and private. Ligia had an app that answered every possible question we had about her place and the area from where to have dinner to what sites should we visit. It had grocery stores, hikes nearby, places to visit. I’ve honestly never seen anything like it. The property is quiet, the beds comfy and towels soft. It’s very well located for visits to Guimares and Peneda Gerês. The territorial views from the property were beautiful. Icing on the cake for us our the two dogs that visit.. They were the sweetest and enhanced our visit. One of the top places I have ever stayed.

Silvio is gracious and friendly and the garden is beautiful. He left us fresh eggs one morning and we loved the hot tub. Definitely recommend Silvio’s place.
