Holiday rentals with breakfast in Guimarães

This was a dream vacation - we had just moved to Portugal and spent 2 weeks getting setup. We wanted a quiet week as a family to rest before school started. This place was perfect: perched on a mountainside in the middle of vines, the space was quiet, peaceful and beautifully designed and appointed. Paulo, the husband, is an architect who refurbishes vintage designer furniture. Teyna, the wife, is an amazing chef. Her breakfasts (included) we delicious and the dinners they offer in their adjoining restaurant and well crafted and tasty. Their place is pet friendly - we brought our dog, and they have a dog, two cats and two birds. We did outings to Porto, nearby Roman ruins, historic villages and swam in the rivers running through them. It was delightful.

We had a great time! Everything was perfect. The host was very flexible with check-in and check-out times, and always available and helpful whenever we needed anything. The house was extremely well equipped, there was absolutely nothing missing. We highly recommend it!

First for thanking Miguel, who was always quick in the answers as well as provided all the information requested. Our group loved the house: plenty of space, bathrooms in all the rooms and a lot of privacy! Although we only stayed 1 night, I would recommend the space for large groups who want to enjoy a longer stay during the summer, with the pool already open. Thank you for your trust!

I loved staying in Vila Coura, I would definitely stay again. Célia was charming, very helpful. We were able to check in at the appropriate time, explained everything to us about the space, the breakfasts, etc., it was super available to meet any of our requests anytime. The room was very comfortable, clean and cute. We had firewood to light the fireplace and we had a super pleasant atmosphere. The water is very hot too and the bed is super comfortable. I highly recommend!

A beautiful spot in Portugal. The view, the surroundings, the grounds of the Quinta, the staff... everything just wonderful! We were very sad when we had to leave and will be back! Unfortunately it was very hot, but we still saw a lot by car and explored the area.

It was a privilege to meet D. Fátima. Always very considerate of our well-being. It helped us with everything we needed. A fantastic breakfast with a special little one (natural orange juice), which was provided to us by D. Fátima's companion. We made this little bike adventure, which was stored in the garage of the house. Everything went very well. I recommend..See you next time...

Staff was wonderful, very helpful and responsive. We had a delightful wine tasting. They set up a taxi to take us to town and told us where to have dinner. The small village was extremely charming, we had a great dinner and our taxi driver was waiting to take us back after. The room and property were top notch. the only minor issue we had and it may be our fault, is we were further away from the Douro Valley than we thought. The directions were correct, but I missed my turn into the property, it isnt much of a road and it sneaks up on you. It would be challenging to find at night. But in the end, we were extremely pleased with our experience and very glad we stayed. We would wholeheartedly recommend it!!

The site is truly wonderful, it has easy access to the jacuzzi pool, and the sauna. lacks some indication of their use, but nothing that has been complicated or impossible. the phenomenal room! The bathroom and kitchen very clean. Generally an excellent place to chill out.

More than fine! Central in Amarante, special building (it looked like a museum!), good breakfast, actually a too small bed but we indicated in advance that it was okay (stupid).

Angelique is a great host and the place she has with the stay is lovely. The village is very cute and on her property she has a nice swimming pool and wonderful places to sit. She wanted to take care of everything very well for us and she did. We enjoyed it very much and would recommend this beautiful place to everyone, to completely relax and unwind.

Our stay at Quinta Dos Carqueijais was a perfect 10/10! We chose the Villa das Oliveiras, which offers a breathtaking panoramic view of the surroundings. It truly feels like you're immersed in the forest with beautiful views of the lake. The entire property is seamlessly integrated with nature, creating an idyllic setting for complete disconnection. The accommodation itself is stunning, perfectly equipped, and incredibly comfortable—far better than what you might expect from the photos. The breakfast is plentiful, with great attention to detail. Additionally, we had the chance to enjoy the spa facilities, which include a jacuzzi, sauna, massages, and a heated indoor pool, all at a very competitive rate. Quinta Dos Carqueijais is the perfect place to unwind for a weekend getaway or to celebrate a special occasion near the Peneda-Gerês National Park
