Beachfront holiday rental in Gualala, Mendocino County

Peaceful home with great views of the ocean and endless sound of waves. We had one of the best night's rest in a long time. Contemporary cottage interior with great kitchen, open lounge/living area with a few spaces for cozy chilling, and large hot tub on bottom deck for relaxation. Tesla charger a big bonus on the Mendocino coast. Hosts incredibly responsive and went out of their way to provide recommendations to help us out!

My family and I had an incredible stay at Gower’s Airbnb. Honestly, it was even nicer than I expected. This property offers a true California experience that’s incredibly hard to find. I’ve driven along Highway 1 many times, always thinking how amazing it would be to spend time on that beautiful coastal land you see from the road, and this property delivers exactly that. We had lunch and dinner overlooking sweeping views of untouched coastline and the beach below. There’s an easy path down to what felt like a private beach (we didn’t see another soul the entire time), and we spent hours exploring the black sand, walking the shore, and checking out the tide pools at low tide. The whole time, I kept thinking how rare and unspoiled this experience is. Gower has created an incredible home, thoughtfully designed with all the comforts you could want right in the middle of some of the most beautiful land in the world. We’re already talking about when we can come back.

We enjoyed a wonderful stay at your home. The house was well appointed and had everything that we needed/wanted. The setting was gorgeous. We loved getting to view wildlife right from the house and take in the beautiful views. The host was very responsive and sent helpful messages with information in anticipation to our arrival and departure. We definitely look forward to returning!

Beautiful, peaceful and lovely stay. This was a fantastic place and one of the best Airbnb stays in my experience. Paulette is a friendly host and has included so many extras in her rental. The house was very clean and comfortable. The kitchen had everything you would need and she has stocked the bathrooms with many extras. The location is beautiful with decks and windows that view the lake. The completely fenced back yard with the private beach really was beautiful and relaxing. We could let our dogs run free and they loved it. There are California buckeye trees there so I picked up the fruit that had dropped so my dog wouldn't chew them. There is a nice pergola on the beach so we could sit in the shade while the dogs played. Do try the Crestview walk listed in the binder. We drove to the dirt road, parked and had a really nice dog walk. We also walked the Redbud trail off of Hwy 20 which was enjoyable. I would definitely stay here again.

Beautiful location right on the coast. Wonderful views from the deck and hot tub. You didn’t need to leave the property feel like you were on vacation.

Beautiful place!!! We really enjoyed the sounds of waives crashing against each other and how roomy the house is! House is close to everything and not far of a drive to all the locate beaches!!!

This is one of the best AirBNBs I have ever stayed in. The house itself is beautiful and comfortable, with hand-crafted custom touches throughout. The view to the ocean is absolutely lovely. I stayed here with my husband, toddler, and mom, and we had plenty of space to spread out. The house exceeded our expectations, which were high. The location is excellent - extremely close to Jug Handle State Park and of course a short drive away to Ft. Bragg or Mendocino. We didn't do much cooking but the kitchen seemed well equipped.

Exceeded expectations and would definitely stay again. Great hosts with clear and defined instructions that made the check in/ check out and over all stay nice and easy

Lovely home and huge! They had a good stereo but didn’t have the right connections for our phones, and had no way to listen to music. Vacasa office told us that we didn’t need to pick up the packet- which we appreciated because we were late - but then we discovered we had to have parking passes or they would boot our car until we paid cash for the fine. Would be easier to put parking passes in the house.

This stay exceeded all expectations, we loved it! The space was immaculately clean and more spacious than the photos suggested. The kitchen was incredibly well stocked—we had everything we needed and more including Spanish Paprika! The magical jacuzzi under the stars with the sound of waves crashing was the cherry on top. There were issues initially with permits of our previous booking, Vacasa was also very proactive and helpful throughout the booking process and responsive in all communications, which made everything seamless. We’d return in a heartbeat!

Beautiful home perfectly situated on a quiet cul-de-sac. Gorgeous ocean views with a lovely deck with dining table and outdoor seating area with gas fireplace. Spacious kitchen and living room - plenty of space for our family with two young kids.

Wow! This home has an exceptional setting - the spectacular views of the ocean from the great room are mesmerizing. The master bedroom and lower level bedrooms all have gorgeous views of the ocean as well. The Ocean Bluff Trail passes right behind the house, making it so convenient to explore the coast. Great for nature lovers - we saw seals, deer, rabbits, fox, and many varieties of sea birds. Also the home is pet friendly and our dog loved it! Thank you for sharing your lovely home!

Beautiful and super clean house in the magical woods. We loved the window seats everywhere and watching the deer visit every day. The beds are very comfy and towels plush. We enjoyed the sauna and hot tub under the stars. Some aspects of the house are a little more rustic than modern, but still very comfortable and cozy. The owner is super responsive and thoughtful and obviously cares a lot about her home.

Stunning property with ocean views from the living room. This classic Sea Ranch architecture is beautifully complemented by tasteful decor and a well-stocked kitchen. We truly felt at home and had a wonderful time. Willa and Craig were fantastic hosts—providing clear directions, helpful local tips, and being readily available if we needed anything. We’d love to return!

We have stayed at many homes in Sea Ranch. Abalone Bay is by far the cleanest, most organized, meticulously curated and most convenient. It is a beautiful home. Beautiful views, well manicured and designed outdoor space (we brought our dogs). The house had everything we needed and more. It was perfect. And Donna was incredibly helpful, proactively considerate of what we might need, & was great with local tips and insight (I.e. suggested the sea ranch Turkey trot!). We had an excellent time and felt completely at home.

This was my second time staying here and it was just as great as the first time! I'll definitely continue coming back as often as I can!

This place was fantastic for the four of us to have a peaceful New Years Eve trip away. You are right in a redwood grove, with a lot to do right nearby. The place had a really well stocked kitchen if you want to cook (great flat top grill). The hot tub is fantastic, and the couch/tv area was great for a movie night. If you want to explore Russian river, this is as good as it gets. We walked across the street for nine holes of stunning golf. A 20 minute drive got us to Jenner to explore the dramatic coastline, 15 minute drive to a state park for hiking, and 30 minutes to russian river's brewery. Also there is a coffee shop just across the first hole of the course, which is a rare convenience. If we had 6 guests this would have been really incredible value.

Beautiful place and beautiful views. Perfect for a getaway with a small family. I already can see us coming back here. They had fishing rods in the apartment and the dock is below the house so it’s a great activity for folks who want to enjoy the place, do a few low key activities. We had internet issues but Quincy was very prompt to help us out and get it fixed. I recommend this place for a nice getaway with family

Wow, what a special place. The rainy days couldn’t ruin the trip, even though they tried. Gazing out the huge windows in the living room was peaceful and more entertaining than we could have imagined. Seals resting on the beach between the estuary and ocean, plenty of birds and beautiful spring blooms. The property is exactly as pictured, if not even more impressive in person. Super clean, well equipped, comfortable furniture and the bathrooms were very luxurious. We spent a lot of time in the kitchen; which is well equipped and comfortable for preparing meals. One of the best AirBnBs we have stayed at and plan to return soon (if not annually).

I took my 4 kids, my husband and myself away for a surprise getaway and it did not disappoint!! They always responded quickly. The place was so clean and organized. It was exactly what I was looking for something peaceful, quiet, and remote with nature. My kids had an absolute time of their lives with the lake and all the activities they had on the property. Can’t wait to go back next year with the family! Definitely an amazing experience! The house was so clean and organized.

We decided to do something a little different this Easter break. We've never been to Clearlake, but heard fishing was good, but never could've imagined a fishing experience like this. First off, the home was perfect, inside was so open, the view of the lake looking out from living room is a sight to see. Upon arrival, before all was unpacked my youngest Son grabbed his rod and went directly to the back dock, as I did the same. He caught a 7lb 13oz large mouth bass, the video I took is priceless of him fighting it to the boat ramp. Next day while while out on the dock fishing catching crappie, and some smaller bass, I hooked onto a 7lb 4oz large mouth. The highlight of our family trip was having us all out on the dock fishing, paddle boarding, and kayaking, and being able to keep our boat on the dock for immediate access. My highlight was getting woken up by my wife, and daughter, heading out to the dock to fish at 6:30 am without getting us boys up. My family thanks you Aasif!

Second stay at this beautiful location in this beautiful home. My only disappointment was our stay was too short. I accidentally left my jacket behind and Renee was kind enough to go out of her way and send it to me.
