Cottage holiday rentals in Greater Toronto and Hamilton Area

I could not recommend this cottage more, and I will definitely be back. It was very easy to locate and there is plenty of parking on the driveway. Inside the cottage, we found an extremely well stocked kitchen, the beds were very comfortable, and everything was very clean. Outside of the cottage, we spent most of the time on the beautiful, new dock overlooking Sparrow Lake. There were plenty of water sport toys available for us to use, the water was shallow and perfect for swimming, and we enjoyed seeing all of the float planes coming and going to the lake. In the evening, we spent time on the upper back deck overlooking the lake, where there was the bbq and hot tub. We felt right at home and cozy; I just wish I could have stayed longer! I brought along my dog who was very pleased to find cookies and a toy provided by the host. Thank you so much for hosting us and we plan to return next year! :)

Had a great family getaway for a few nights. Peaceful surroundings, easy to find, and close to amenities if needed. Lovely cabin!

Our stay here for our girls weekend was absolutely fantastic. The airbnb itself was cozy and clean, and had everything we needed. But the best thing about this place was the outdoor space! We enjoyed having a fire on both nights we were there and we loved eating our meals on the back deck, going in the hot tub, and playing cornhole in the backyard! The hosts were also very friendly and responsive. Would definitely stay here again and would highly recommend to anyone!

My friends and I stayed here for a winter weekend away and it was just what we needed/wanted in a little cottage. Great location for those coming from the GTA and nice and close for those in Simcoe. Once we got there we felt right at home! The hosts had cleared the walking paths and back deck of any recent snow fall which made it nice and easy to get inside and enjoy the grounds. They went above and beyond by having the wood burning stove going for us when we checked in which made CARL that much more cozy and welcoming. Communication and instructions were very clear and detailed from start to finish which made the whole rental process easy and enjoyable. My friends and I look forward to coming back to CARL in the future!

Penny’s place was great: every little detail has been thought through, instructions clear, host very responsive. The house and surrounding area were beautiful - clear lake; lots of outside sitting areas, bbqs, hot tub, fully furnished kitchen, etc. The house was spotless - very clean; lots of towels, robes, linens. Lastly, Penny was very accommodating and kind given that we had one older person in our group with limited mobility (the house is well equipped for accessibility - super rare for AirBnbs). Thank you, Penny!

Tons of space on 3 levels and outside. Everything was clean, she put out snacks, beds were so comfortable. Amazing location right on the water with a fire pit, hot tub and sauna there! Minutes from the Henley Island and downtown area, 5-15 min away from all stores and St Catherine’s. The few problems with the water in the showers were taken care of immediately and all communication was very fast!!! I highly recommend staying at Grace’s place!

Max’s place was definitely worth the stay! The home itself was clear and super cute. The sauna and fire pit were a plus and the location was really close to the beach and to a couple local restaurants. Max was super responsive and helpful! The instructions were really clear and check in was easy.

Everything exceeded expectations! A cozy tiny home with beautiful river views and thoughtful details throughout. Kathy was responsive and made the stay seamless. Highly recommend!

We loved our little stay here. It's great for a relaxing long weekend. Lots of great places to eat and drink within driving distance. The views were amazing! Gorgeous water and was fun to see Toronto in the distance. We definitely underestimated the presence of the bugs. Krista does warn that they come out in the summer, but they were everywhere by the water. Definitely hampered our time spent outside but if you can ignore the bugs you'll be fine. Krista was a wonderful communicator and the place was spotless.

It was a separate accommodation from the main house, and simple - the mini arcade was a fun extra.

Alam is an awesome host, very quick to respond. Our family of 10 had a wonderful stay at this Airbnb. The views are amazing from the living room. The property is exactly as described. Very clean home with comfortable beds, fans in every bedroom (we love our fans) and a kitchen that has everything you need. The boat house is adorable and the sunsets are amazing! Close to QEW highway, Costco and many other stores. Alam is a awesome host, quick to respond. Highly recommend.

This was our fourth stay and it felt like home. Always love coming back and even though the weather wasn’t great, there was plenty to do with the sauna, records, VHS tapes and games.

We absolutely loved our stay at this beautiful home. It’s super quiet and peaceful—just what we needed to unwind. The view is beautiful and really adds to that calming, refreshing vibe. The place was super clean and cozy, and you can tell a lot of care went into making it feel welcoming. We highly recommend it to anyone who’s looking for a peaceful gateway!

The house was spotless and the garden was absolutely lovely. Both we and our dog had a wonderful time during our stay. We always bring our own sheets to Airbnb stays, but we couldn’t help noticing how fresh and clean the ones here smelled — that was a really nice touch. Many of the things we brought with us were already available in the house, which made everything so convenient. Hot water was always available, which made our stay even more comfortable. The garden was peaceful, filled only with the sounds of birds and frogs — it was truly relaxing to just listen to nature. Getting away from Toronto for a few days was exactly what we needed. Before we arrived, Dylan had kindly left firewood out in the yard for us — that was such a thoughtful gesture and we really appreciated it. As a suggestion, the double bed could use some improvement — it wasn’t very comfortable. Also, the mosquitoes were really intense; despite using repellent, we were bitten all over. Amazing home with so much to offer for outdoor activities! Even a pool table inside that was great for a rain day and pizza oven is covered by a pavilion which was great too we made pizzas every day! Hot tub is a great option too but the only negative part of the whole experience was that the hot tub was quite dirty. We messaged the host who was very responsive and had someone come out to clean it but it needs a little more maintenance to be cleaned properly. Other than that 10/10 stay would definitely go back!

Cannot recommend this cottage enough! Had a great time with my family, the apartment was fantastic, and the view was better than I could’ve imagined. 10/10 would recommend!

My girlfriends and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay here! The place was exactly as pictured and had lots of charm and personal touches that were very appreciated, including a complimentary bottle of wine, snacks and a lovely personalized welcome sign. The hosts were friendly, responsive and readily available if anything was needed, which it wasn't! We would definitely come back again when visiting the area!

This place is extraordinary! Beautiful space to be in with a great bit of lake to enjoy. Would highly recommend, and hope to return myself some day.
