Wine/Apple Country Cottage, Centrally Located

Play golden oldies on an upright piano in a home filled with antique furniture, folk art, and lots of books and games. The kitchen and bathroom also retain their vintage vibe. A drop leaf desk and 100 mbps Wi-Fi provide a comfortable working space. Come in the spring or summer to see the garden in full bloom! (Photos included here do not do it justice...) The dappled shade of a grape covered pergola is a wonderful place for lunch. The house has two bedrooms that look out on the gardens. The master bedroom has a queen bed, and the second bedroom has a double bed. There is a well-equipped kitchen and laundry room. Water in the house is delicious, purified well water. A 55" tv is in one of the bedrooms (disguised by a pull-down map). It has Roku but no cable. Enjoy lots of games and books to read, a piano in the living room and access to high speed internet and WiFi. Wander in the gardens or orchard in the back. Relax or dine under the shady grape arbor. I live in a small cottage in the back of the property. While I respect your privacy, I enjoy meeting new guests and welcome your questions. On parle francais. Se habla espanol. The house is located in apple country, outside the small town of Sebastopol. It's very easy to find in a quiet, tree-lined neighborhood across the street from a Christmas tree farm. Apple orchards and vineyards are within walking distance. The quaint town of Graton is half a mile away. It has an art gallery operated by local artists, an antique store and a variety of restaurants including the Underwood Bar and Bistro, rated as "number 4 of America's 50 Most Amazing Wine Experiences by the Food and Wine Magazine." We also have over 40 wineries, including the top rated: Merry Edwards, FEATURED IN JULY 2014 ISSUE OF SUNSET MAGAZINE and just 0.2 miles from the house! Graton Ridge Cellars, FEATURED IN JULY 2014 ISSUE OF SUNSET MAGAZINE and 0.6 miles from the house! Red Car Wine Company, 0.3 miles away. Iron Horse Vineyards also featured in July 2014 issue of Sunset Magazine and 3.6 miles from the house! Other recommended wineries in Sebastopol include: Lynmar Iron Horse Taft Street Cahill Dutton-Goldfield (one third mile from house) Scherrer Freeman Marimar. Enjoy several hiking trails close by, or drive on scenic country roads directly from the house to a variety of attractions. There is a gorgeous half-hour drive through the town of Occidental to the ocean. The Russian River Steelhead Beach is 5.6 miles away. Drive ten minutes farther to visit Armstrong Redwoods State Natural Reserve where you can walk through a towering forest of trees that are hundreds of years old. Historic Healdsburg, with its central plaza, shops, restaurants and wineries is also a scenic 25 minute drive away. The 9-hole Sebastopol Golf Course is a little over a mile away. There is a variety of grocery stores in Sebastopol. My favorite is Andy's, a fruit and vegetable stand that also carries other food. It takes 3 minutes to drive there. This area was not impacted by the fires.

Our studio space is detached from our house, 460 sq. ft., including a bedroom area, living space, small food prep/eating area and clean, bright bathroom. Please, no perfume or cologne because of allergies. Thank you for understanding. Also there is NO TV in the Airbnb. We have great WiFi for streaming movies and there is a Multi screen movie theater just 2 blocks away. We are located in downtown Sebastopol, near great food, great wine, hiking, biking and more!

Had a great stay. Michael and Edna have been great at communication and everything about the home and instructions to usages were well thought out. Tastefully decorated. Details like having all types of usb charging cables and small things like that tell you the hosts care very much about your experience. Sparkling clean. Highly recommend.

The high quality window blinds, Zwilling pots and pans and the 7 gen dish soap all points to the fact that they really took care of the place. Also when we were there, the oven pilot light went out. The host came by and fixed it right away. The vineyard next door has a beautiful view. There is a school next door which means playground for the kids but also some noise during school day mornings.

One of the best Airbnbs we’ve stayed in, hands down! The property was gorgeous and felt extremely private, and the house itself was beautiful, clean, and well cared-for. Sometimes you can tell hosts put the bare minimum effort into a place they’re renting out - this was a welcome contrast to that and felt like a loved home. The location is close to lots to do, and while not super walkable (it’s off of a busy road), we managed a few stroller walks with our baby. Emily was a helpful and communicative host. Would absolutely stay here again!

We booked the eclectic barn retreat for a ladies weekend and it was perfect for four friends celebrating a 40th birthday! The decor and overall atmosphere of the house was so fun and relaxing! Incredible kitchen and outdoor space with everything we needed to cook and bbq for two days. The second bedroom is a loft with separate entry and it took us a day to figure that out - perhaps check in instructions could be more detailed for those that need it. The short drive to town is beautiful and filled with vineyards and amazing produce markets! Overall we loved our stay and had a great time at the house. I would definitely come back!!

Wow, this place is stunning. Not only the view, but the home itself is honestly incredible. It was so clean, modern & refreshing. The hosts thought of everything that we might have needed for our stay, including water, non alcoholic wine & even epson salt for the bath! I can't believe we were lucky enough to stay here. I couldn't recommend it more! Thank you for giving us such a wonderful experience!

Our family had a wonderful stay on this lovely property. Communication from Sophia is unmatched. Guests are greeted with a bottle of wine and basket of "high end" snacks (no Costco bulk items). The house is bigger than it appears in the pictures and very comfortable. The beds and their linens made for nights of wonderful sleep. The kitchen was well stocked and we LOVED the vintage gas stove. We didn't hear the road noise in the house and didn't notice it when outside. We didn't utilize the water tower since we found the stale odor a bit overwhelming, but that's to be expected in a building that age. We also found "old" mold in the bathtub's tile grout and it appeared the rubber mat in the tub was also moldy, so the three of us simply used the master bedroom's shower. When we went to use the fire pit (which was AWESOME), the propane tank was empty, but the owner showed up within five minutes with a new tank. The swift resolve was unexpected and appreciated. We'll be back!
