Lake house holiday rentals in Grand Isle County

We’re so grateful to have spent a week in Vermont at Margaret’s home. Isle La Motte is such a special place and what a great spot to experience Vermont’s natural beauty and Lake Champlain. The property is spectacular with mature trees and rugged coastline, complete with a large dock that’s perfect for swimming and fishing. We caught 7 different species of fish right from the dock. We witnessed Osprey, Eagle, Loons and Merganser on a daily basis! The house is perfect for a group of 8 to 10 with plenty of room to spread out both indoors and outdoors with lots of seating. The kitchen is well stocked with everything you need to cook and 2 grills, the large Cuisinart griddle was fun to use for everything from breakfast to homemade pizza! The kayaks and water toys were also great and everything was provided to use them safely. This was our first trip to Vermont and we loved every minute, which is very easy at a place like this! Easily one of the best vacation spots and Airbnb’s!

Our family spent a fabulous week at Jewel of the Isle. The pictures don't do the view justice! It's amazing from every single room at all angles! We were a multi-generational group ranging from 19 to 93 years old and the house was perfect for all of us. Please note though, that there are stairs (with sturdy railings) in the house if that's a mobility issue for you. The "kids" loved the kayaks, stand up paddle boards and the fishing poles. Even though it was early in the season, the herb garden was such a nice touch and we were able to use a few clippings for salads. The house was spotless and Mitch was a very responsive host to all of our questions. If I could give more than 5 stars I would!

Our friend group and fur babies had an amazing time! We made use of the amazing dock and kayaks. The place was exactly as described and had a very homey feeling. The games and home essentials were great to have! Allison was easy and quick to respond and made our stay amazing. We will definitely come back!

Our stay over Labor Day was fantastic. This place is set in one of the most beautiful spots in the northeast and was the ideal spot for a peaceful, relaxing weekend. Alburgh Dunes State Park has a great beach and there's lot of hiking trails in the surrounding islands.

Great place to stay in Plattsburgh area!

This Airbnb was great and as described! The house overlooks the lake and you can see the gorgeous mountains in Vermont! It’s very quiet and peaceful. It’s super close to the ferry which we took twice to explore Vermont. When you walk in, there are basically four huuuuuge living rooms! We could have each had one to ourselves! The couches were comfy and it was very tastefully decorated. My favorite part was the two chaise lounges! We all spent many hours sitting there working and watching the lake. Absolutely perfect! I told the host I wanted to buy them for my apt but obviously it wouldn’t come close bc the view is what makes it! The kitchen had a lot of counter space and was stocked with things for us to use to cook for over a week. It was great to have a washer and dryer in the house! The bedrooms and bathrooms were all good and there were plenty of blankets. The place we stayed in Plattsburgh over the holidays didn’t have heat and this one did. We’ll definitely stay here next time!

It had everything I needed and I thoroughly enjoyed my stay. Anne Marie even had a fire going in the fireplace for my arrival. Even though this spot would be ideal in the summer because it's right on the lake, I found it to be very beautiful and comfortable in the dead of winter. It was plenty warm, and easy to get in and out. I couldn't be happier with both the home and the host.

Amazing place! Our second year going back in a row and will be going back next year again. Such a beautiful spot. If you’re looking for a place for friends/family or just to relax by yourself, this is it!

Mariana was wonderful. She lent us slippers since it was cold outside. She left a lot of provisions for our use so we did not need to buy olive oil, etc. She left clear directions for check out and garbage disposal. The house was very clean and the views from her property were amazing. We had a wonderful time and saw some amazing fossils from the Chazy reef.

Charles was a very good host. The cleaning crew did not show up, but we were notified in advance and it was cleaned personally by his son. The vacuum didn’t work so the floors weren’t clean, but other than that it was a great stay! This location is so charming and is close enough to Burlington to go over for the day/night to explore!

Lovely cottage in beautful area. Lots of places to visit nearby. Close to South Hero where we have family. Great restaurants, apple orchards, so much to see! Also just short drive to Burlington and other attractions like Montpilier

Stayed with 4 adults, 2 teenagers, a toddler, and dogs in August. The place was just what we needed. Large, private, access to lake/dock, plenty of space for dogs to roam, two sections of the house (so toddler could be in bed while others were up). Did not have anything to complain about, but would suggest bringing beach towels and bug spray. Nearby markets are somewhat lacking, so its a good idea to shop before arriving. Loved everything, quiet neighborhood.

We had a very pleasant stay. We are actually from Vermont and went back for a memorial service. The spot was so peaceful ... the leaves were turning and we were right by the water. Walking distance to the main street, for coffee, food, shopping. Would stay again.

Dorsey’s house is a gem. Fully equipped, clean and private, and with the most amazing views of the lake Champlain. Unfortunately we were there during the hurricane Betty and we couldn’t use the private beach as much as we would like to. We did swim once, and the water was nice and with a lot of sand.

Right on Lake Champlain, cozy home. Only stayed for one night while passing through, but it had all that I needed! Would love to stay again and spend more time in the area.

Such a beautiful and well appointed home! Kassie is a very thoughtful host providing all of the amenities to give you the comfort of home while staying at her place, not to mention with a beautiful view of lake champlain!

Great getaway for my fsamily! Lots of space, big table in the dining room makes it easy to be all together, and beautiful surrounding! The ability to take a wuick drive to Burlington and Stowe then head back to our reatreat was a plus. I will hopefully be staying here again very soon!!

My family and I had a short, but great stay when we were in town for an event. We had a blast in the garage playing darts, ping pong and doing a puzzle. We did end up taking a few dirt roads to get to the Airbnb, but it’s a beautiful spot and has plenty of space for a large group. We would highly recommend Missy’s house to others!

We reached out to Jesse as we were moving to the area and needed a place to stay for a month while we worked to find permanent housing. The house was comfortable and relaxing in a beautiful setting which was perfect for us as we adjusted to the area! Jesse was more than accommodating with both check in and check out and was super responsive anytime I had a question. We are grateful to Jesse for his hospitality and definitely recommend the property to anyone who wants a cozy house on the lake to relax in during their stay!
