Our charming bungalow is located walking distance from downtown Muskegon and Muskegon Lake. Enjoy the quiet neighborhood setting while being close to all of the action that downtown has to offer. Breweries, restaurants, shopping, and the farmers market all await. If downtown isn’t your scene, the bungalow is a quick drive to Pere Marquette beach on the shores of Lake Michigan. Large, uncrowded stretches of sandy beach are the perfect place for a relaxing day in the sun.
“Marilyn's bungalow is the perfect spot for a getaway. It was just what we needed to have a safe vacation during this pandemic. The house was adorable and perfect for two adults and one kid. The city itself was cute and had plenty of fun things to do, all within close proximity to the bungalow. We chose to go to the beach one day and canoeing the next, all easily done while social distancing and wearing a mask. The downtown area was closed to cars to allow restaurants to move their seating outdoors. Overall, this place was great for a short getaway during the current health crisis.”
A lovely Relaxing and Comfortable Cottage with beautiful Michigan Woods as your back yard. There are so many things to do in this beautiful town on Lake Michigan; walking the many sandy beaches, hiking and biking, to shopping in Holland's many boutique and vintage stores... But once you enter the Cottage, you may never want to leave... Our Sunlit cottage is conveniently located just a mile away from Tunnel Beach and Riley beach, close to biking and walking paths and downtown Holland.
“We met up with family to spend a few nights together here and it was a nice space for our visit. Plenty of room for four adults and four small children, and very clean and tastefully decorated. The kitchen area accommodates a large group well, and there are front and back deck options for outdoor entertainment as well. We enjoyed use of the ping pong table located on the front deck and noticed the garage is filled with many other options for beach and other recreation. The home is private but not too remote, located on a wooded lot along an awesome walking/biking path which leads directly to Tunnel Beach and Riley’s Beach in a mile’s walk in either direction. Due to unusually high water levels on Lake Michigan, the beach one block from this home is currently closed to swimming/sand access, which I wish we had researched/known before booking. For anyone traveling with small children, it might be helpful to note there are no bathtubs in this home, only showers. Margo was a super helpful and responsive host and we enjoyed our visit!”
The Hillside Cottage is a curated space to reset, reflect, and unwind. A place to spend your days strolling the beach, fishing along the pier, sipping craft beer, or enjoying a meal at one of the many great local restaurants. Located just blocks off the water, our 1920s era cottage is nestled within the historic Lakeside neighborhood of Muskegon. A quick walk to grab ice cream, and just a bit further to restaurants, bars, and shopping. Best of all, the beach is just a five minute drive away.
“Matt's place was stylish and cozy and it was also in a quiet neighborhood. We loved how close the house was to the beach, it only took one turn and a few minutes down the road to get to Pere Marquette Park. The house was very clean and the kitchen was fully stocked with everything we needed to cook our meals.”
