Experience the wilderness with the comforts of a real home, surrounded by thousands of acres of national forest. A 7/10 mile gravel road to the house removes you from the rest of the world. Sunsets, sunrises and the night sky are amazing! It's an 84 year-old house but solid and tidy inside. Caretaker lives on site to assist as needed.

Bauhr's Hostel Guest Ranch Cabin #1

Bauhr Ranch is a working horse facility in the Sierra foothills outside of historic Chinese Camp and 1 hour from Yosemite. There are two guest cabins for anyone - horse or non horse folks. They are Hostel style- guests need to bring their own bedding or sleeping bags and pads. They have water and limited power. There's a separate shared restroom & shower - outside kitchen/seasonal fire pit. The cabins are a nice stop on the way to Yosemite or extended stays in which to enjoy the Gold Country.
