Waterfront holiday rentals in Gloucester County

My wife and I have stayed at The Fish House several times. It is a wonderful respite from our urban home life. A great place to relax and appreciate the Northern Neck lifestyle. We love it here!

The room was super clean, with a nice balcony, in a resort area that was scenic and safe. Close to all the historic attractions I wanted to visit. Lisa was a responsive and friendly host.

We loved everything about our stay at Poseidon! The apartment was lovely, bright and clean with a very well equipped kitchen, comfortable beds and nice linens. The shared outdoor space is one of the nicest we've seen on a beach house - well tended wooden walkways all around, lots of nice outdoor seating, great grill lovely "beach bar" type perch to sit and look over the water. We used the sauna every night and all of the available amenities as much as possible. We highly recommend this property!

This was our third stay at Clifton, so we and our 2 dogs obviously like staying there. The location is perfect for getting around Matthews as we continue to explore that part of the region. Very nice stay and we look forward to coming back. Bart and Sharon Cameron November 2024

Absolutely beautiful place! So clean and such a peaceful neighborhood. Looking out on the water and being able to sit on the dock was a real treat! Would recommend this spot to anyone.

Wow! What a fabulous loft! Karin paid attention to every detail. The loft was well-stocked and had everything you need! Most impressive were the immaculate nature of the space and the VIEWS! The balcony was the best place for a morning cup of coffee...secluded, private, peaceful, and beautiful! This loft is brand new and so clean! Karin also allowed me to check out late and was an excellent communicator! Check in was easy and her directions were clear! Thanks for an amazing stay, Karin. I'll be booking next year, same time!

Would definitely recommend to anybody looking for a quiet peaceful place. Home was small and comfortable with everything you will need. The bed was so comfortable I didn’t want to move once I laid down lol. The patio and grill were perfect for enjoying warm evening outdoors and the beach was never crowded which is one thing I enjoyed the most.

Amy and Andy are excellent hosts! I had so much fun. I was just a little disappointed in the wi-fi/internet connection but Andy is doing his best to correct it. This is my second time staying here and I will be coming back! I highly recommend it!

The home was easy to find and very clean. We loved the beachfront and peaceful surroundings. We've been to Gloucester before and it is a cute little place to explore and has what you need. I would definitely choose this airbnb again if in the area! Thank you for sharing!

This is the second time I've stayed at Tamara's place and I would absolutely stay again. The place is exactly what you expect and they have excellent instructions. Wonderful people, peaceful location, and you always know what to expect.

Absolutely beautiful! Clean, comfortable and gorgeous view! The beds were comfortable and spacious. Upgraded bathrooms with excellent water pressure. Fully stocked upgraded kitchen with quality appliances and everything you need if you wanted to cook. Easy quick drive to Busch Gardens, Williamsburg, Newport News and Fort Eustis. TV’s in each bedroom and living room that were easy to use. The back yard view was our favorite. We enjoyed waking up to the view every day! Highly recommend!

I stayed at Meg's beautiful home with my bridesmaids for my wedding weekend in Deltaville, and it was absolutely perfect! The house is spacious, clean, and well-organized, which made it a comfortable and relaxing place to stay during such a special time. Meg was so kind and responsive, providing helpful local recommendations and detailed instructions for the house. She truly went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable, and her hospitality made my wedding weekend even better. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience—thank you, Meg!

We enjoyed our time at this beautiful home. We have a large family and both the living area and sleeping arrangements were more than comfortable. We loved the ample couch space and large dining room table, which was perfect for game night after dinner. We brought our boat with us, and were glad we did. There was perfect docking space and great fishing & crabbing from the dock and the surrounding area. S’mores were a no-brainer given the large fire pit. The house is well maintained and located on a private piece of land. Vacation was enjoyed by all!

Chris was an excellent communicator. His place looked EXACTLY like the pictures. The setting is so serene and offered the right mix of Peace for working adults and fun activities for kids. The guest handbook was very helpful in identifying local good eats and things to do. Instructions were clear and easy to follow. Everything about the space was thoughtful—from the intentional setup to the little touches that made it feel so warm and inviting. We had everything we needed and more. The kids had a blast, and the adults got a much-needed break. It’s the kind of place you find yourself already planning to return to before you’ve even left. Definitely a 5-star stay. Highly recommend!

Beautiful and comfortable house and property. Was nice to have a little section of beach and a park setting with a playground just across the driveway. We didn't spend too much time outside being it was quite cold and windy during our stay, but the electric fireplace and the expansive view of the river from the living sofa was very relaxing. The inside of the house is clean and well furnished. The only downside (which wasn't really a big issue) is the shower curtain in the master bathroom keeps falling down. It was down when we got there, so we tried just putting it back up, but it wouldn't stay. We just all used the other shower, so no real issue. Definitely recommend this place for a relaxing getaway. Very quiet and friendly little community.

We had a wonderful stay in Cape Charles. We loved being able to just walk out the door and have lots of shops and restaurants just a few steps away. The kitchen was gorgeous and the beds were very comfortable. We especially enjoyed the outdoor deck area. What a great spot to stay in this cute town!

I have nothing but positives to say about this place, the location, and Merlyn, it was all just perfect! From the clear, friendly and helpful instructions prior to arrival, the sign greeting us in the parking lot saying "Welcome Teigre family", to discovering that there was coffee in the kitchen for us in the morning (we weren't sure about this, but that's really great when you get in really late the night before), to our boys playing ball on the beach (beach toys available in the gym), my wife and I enjoying our coffee on the beach in the morning, to our friendly chat as we bumped into Rick & Merlyn, the hosts, all through to our check-out. Driving downtown was a 20 minute easy drive, we spent quite a bit of our time there, so it was nice to stay at a place on the beach. If we ever come back to Norfolk, VA, we would love to stay here again and we can highly recommend it and its wonderful hosts for anyone who comes to the area!

The 2 bedroom apartment was spacious, clean, and well kept. The kids loved the heated pools and activities. Communication with Robert was great. We had a bit of a delay at check-in and weren't able to get into the room until 6 PM. Other than that, it was a great stay. Would definitely stay again.

We had an amazing early Mother’s Day weekend at this beautiful Airbnb located in Kingsmill Resort. The setting was peaceful and scenic—perfect for a relaxing getaway. The home was spotless, comfortable, and had everything we needed to feel right at home. We enjoyed morning coffee on the patio, strolls around the resort grounds, we used door dash for dinner. Dave was thoughtful and attentive, making our stay smooth and stress-free. This was such a special way to celebrate Mother’s Day, and we’re already looking forward to coming back!

Our visit was complete because we had an awesome and responsive host, Lynn. The airbnb was perfect and close to all our planned events. We were also able to get recommendations to restaurants and spas near by from host prior to our stay. Highly recommend and will be looking to rent stays here in the future.

We have a great stay, it was super close to Bush Gardens making it easy to come back in the middle of the day to relax and take the dogs out. It is on the upper floor but the stairs are not difficult at all. It was a very pet friendly neighborhood.

Always an excellent time in Williamsburg Va. Beautiful accommodations and surroundings. Wonderful stay for four nights.

The perfect location! Jared was very responsive and helpful. The condo was a great size with two older children (15 and 11). The beds are comfortable, condo was very furnished and stocked. We’ve stayed at many places before where the host doesn’t supplies very little (toilet paper, paper towels, laundry soap, shampoo, conditioner, body soap, etc.). We really appreciated how well stocked the condo was from day one. We didn’t have to worry about immediately driving to a local store to buy all the necessities. We were able to check in and relax! We’re very familiar with the Kingsmill neighborhood and just love it! The grounds are beautiful and the walking trails around the neighborhood is perfect for a nice family stroll. Our family visits Williamsburg each year during spring break for the past eight years. We’ll look forward to staying at Jared’s place again!
