Locally called ‘The Pink House’, it was a safe haven during the Jacobite uprising. The author of ‘The Junglebook’ is thought to have resided at Greenshadows for a short period. This was an unforgettable place to stay. Where else can you have your own stone circle, jetty and a rock with Neolithic carvings? The location is right next to the loch with a stunning uninterrupted views. We sat on the veranda which is dry in all weathers and watched the changing light and teeming birdlife: there were swifts, swallows, geese, swans, wagtails and an oystercatcher... It is a wild and private retreat, but the internet is brilliant, the kitchen and shower function well. We were warm and cosy at night. We will dream about coming back!

We have just returned home after spending the last week at Debbie’s place. My wife and I had a lovely time, the place was clean, well equipped and located perfectly for a quiet rest but also near enough to Stirling if we needed anything. Our little boy and dog felt right at home, enjoying the garden, the grounds and the views of the cows from the window and balcony. There are plenty of surrounding walks and a great local dog friendly pub which served a great lunch. Thank you for having us.

The cabin couldn’t have been more relaxing! Exactly what we needed after a long travel to start our trip. We were able to relax and unwind with the outdoor bath and fire pit and the chilled champagne and breakfast basket were perfect on arrival! Thanks to Mandy for giving us the best recommendation on a local golf course, Murrayshall was gorgeous and challenging! Thanks for this little gem Alice we hope to be back!

We had 5 great nights stay in Kate's flat. We had been to Callander before so know the area. Everything was clean and comfortable and we felt it was like home from home. Kate let us know that we could check in earlier than stated time by 3 hours which was great as we were only travelling from Edinburgh and were able to take advantage of this. Highly recommended.

We had a brilliant 4 night stay at Seal Cabin with our dog - so peaceful, cosy and had everything we could possibly wish for. We loved waking up to the views of the beautiful loch everyday (and seal watching!) and it was a perfect location for walking in the local area and driving to visit other areas. Iain and his family were really friendly and gave us some great recommendations around the area. Would highly recommend a stay at Seal Cabin!

Our stay here was amazing, we were there for my birthday and we couldn't have chosen anywhere better for a weekend away. The pre-arrival instructions helped us find the place and check in with ease, and there was even a complimentary bottle of wine and pack of fudge as well as 2 complimentary drink tickets for the village cafe! Everything was so thoughtfully done from the complimentary sanitary products to the tea/coffee/milk provided and the layout of the place was perfect. It truly felt like a home from home and we could have stayed much longer. A cherry on top was within half an hour of checking in we got to watch the red squirrel visitors and they were a common visitor throughout our stay! All in all an incredible stay and we will definitely be returning!
