Evening and Sunday open grocery store Mesnali 3 min. Bed linen and towels can be rented and must be pre-booked - price NOK 250/£20/€25 per set. Feel free to bring your own. We offer sleigh rides and ski instruction on cross-country skiing in the winter, please contact us if you are interested.

The summer barn at Hovelsrud, Helgøya

The old summer barn of Hovelsrud Gård is idyllically located between Mjøsa and a rolling grain field – a simple and unique place for those who want to get close to nature and enjoy the tranquillity of Helgøya. The house is best suited for a couple or a small family with up to two children. Inside, there is a bedroom and an open-plan living room. Outside there is a kitchen bench, with a gas burner and barbecue, a small beach with swimming opportunities and an outdoor toilet. There is no electricity.

The staff cage belongs to the small farm Kollbækk. Large green areas and a dog farm with houses are available for the guests. The place is close to Mjøsa about 1 hour drive from Gardermoen, the air bus stops 200 m from us. Within 15 minutes there is Totenåsen with plenty of hiking opportunities winter as summer, Norwegian Horse Center Starum, Gjøvik and Toten golf club Sillongen, Gjøvik town with mountain hall and wheel steamer Skibladner. An hour drive to Mjøsbyene Lillehammer and Hamar.

Free electric car charger (type2, 25A), fast internet, satellite dish with many channels (incl. free Viaplay), washing machine, fire pan, board games. Fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher, microwave, coffee maker, coffee machine (must buy Dolce-Gusto capsules), kettle ++. The cabin is south-west facing with good sun conditions and great views. There are duvets and pillows in the cabin, but you must bring your own bedding and towels.

The house is located on a farm. Nice and quiet. Short distance to nice nature experiences. 300 m to nice trips with cross-country skis in winter, nice hiking opportunities in summer. Approx. 25 min by car to Lillehammer city center. (14 km) 30 min to Hafjell and Hunderfossen. If you want to ski in the mountains, it is about 15 min. by car to Fåberg Vestfjell. Large garden, so nice for families with children. It is recommended to have your own car☺️

Spacious completely renovated cabin centrally located on Sjusjøen. Ski tracks just past the cabin plot and alpine slope in the immediate vicinity. Swimming area and playground from walking distance. Consistently high standard with, among other things, a sauna, fire pit, internet and smart TV. Bed linen and towels can be rented for an additional fee of NOK 150 per person. Small cabin (about 25 m2) with a unique location right on the beach at Mjøsa. Sun all day. Central location, 5 minutes drive from Hamar city center and Atlungstad golf course. Best suited for couples, single, or small family. The place is not suitable for wheelchair users or those who are bad at walking as it is 50 meters from the parking down to the cabin with three different stairs.
