Pet-friendly holiday rentals in Gearhart

This is our second time coming to this ocean cottage so we knew what to expect. We felt right at home in the cozy little cottage and had the amenities we needed. Kathleen was very responsive and easy to deal with. We look forward to coming another time!

We booked both houses for a family reunion of three generations. It was the perfect place for us all to have conversations, make big dinners, play games, and relax. There was plenty of dish ware, glasses, and silverware. Kitchen was well stocked and roomy for making large meals for our group. The hosts were very responsive and helpful. We had a last minute addition to our group so we had 17 total people, plus dogs. When I called the host, she was very friendly and accommodating to our request. The location is excellent! We all fell in love with the quaint and charming town of Manzanita. The walk to the beach was just a couple minutes. Everyone had a blast and felt very comfortable. We would definitely stay here again, and highly recommend Sanctuary in the Shire to others.

Great home close to the beach and lots of parking.

Beautiful home with all the things! Kettle, coffee grinder, full of what you need to cook, enjoy coffee and relax. Great gas fireplace that made those chilly mornings so cozy. Comfy beds and super comfy couches. We lazed about, walked the dog and thoroughly enjoyed the stay. Will stay again!

Cute little place! Lots of space for the 4 of us. Super easy to get down to the beach / water and just a quick bike ride to town. Could of walked if we wanted but my youngest (5yo) gets tired.

What a great stay. The only things i was bummed about is not being able to smoke on the property. I completely understand not smoking in houses but not being able to smoke even a vape on the property is a little extreme. But besides that great location clean and very nice host.

We had a great time at Vanessa’s house. The location is very walkable- only a block to the beach, a few minutes to Sea Level Bakery, and a few minutes more to the Fresh Foods grocery store. You have an unobstructed view of the ocean from the living room and front porch. The house is well appointed and had everything we needed. We especially enjoyed the gas fireplace. Would definitely book again.

We absolutely loved this cozy waterfront cottage at Nehalem Bay! Kids especially appreciated all the games, books and toys. I was grateful for the incredibly well stocked kitchen and high quality appliances. It made cooking out meals easy and fun. A highlight of our trip was kayaking over to Riverside Fish n Chips followed by Buttercup ice cream cones. Also highly recommend Wanda’s for brunch. We stayed four nights and already want to come back again!

This place was absolutely beautiful inside and out!! Everything we hoped for while we had a relaxing and peaceful weekend at the coast. Can’t wait to go back again soon!

Wonderful location (we walked to the beach often!) and great family condo! The indoor pool captured my kids and made the winter vacation feel like summertime! The extra touches made us feel pampered and the layout brought us together for wonderful conversation. Everything you would want in a family trip to the beach! Thank you!!

Great place and great view it was very homely

Our stay was incredible. The location was perfect, an easy walk to the ocean. The beds were comfy and the place was immaculate. We never had any problems with communication and we will recommend this place to any of our friends.

The pictures do not do this place enough justice! This may be the nicest Airbnb we’ve stayed in. The views especially at sunrise and sunset are breathtaking. We were informed a couple of weeks before our stay the hot tub was not working, but they did refund our hot tub fee and let us use the community facilities (although we never made it over there). This place has everything you will need, and an especially well stocked kitchen.

Great old school coastal retreat. A little expensive for an Airbnb in my opinion but that seems to be the trend at the Oregon coast these days (with the all fees etc we paid ~1000 for a two night weekend stay). We tend to pay only a little more than this for an entire week at the beach in Waikiki or island stays on the east coast for comparison but at least we didn’t have to buy plane tickets ;)

My family absolutely loved Erin's home and really look forward to coming back again for a stay during the warmer months!

We spend Thanksgiving at this wonderful home. Lots of space and fun things to do for everyone. Just down the road is the beach, fun little store, and great food. The host was amazing and responsive. The holiday was amazing thanks to great weather and the perfect place to stay.

We really enjoyed our stay in this comfortable, spacious and well thought out place. The master bed was SO comfortable and we absolutely loved the walk in shower! We had tons of space for our crew with dogs and didn’t feel like we were tripping over each other! My daughter and husband had a blast playing the Wii. You can tell that the hosts put a lot of thought and care about your stay. They were so kind to even leave a birthday balloon and card to wish my daughter a happy birthday! We highly recommend this space and would love to stay here again in the future!

We had such a wonderful stay! We booked last minute and kindel very accommodating to us! It was the perfect space for us and our 3 little ones. They had so much fun in the large open backyard, and they also had games for them to play. Everything we needed was there, and it couldn't have been better. The bay is walkable from the house and manzanita is a 5 min drive with great beach access. We will definitely be back!

Extremely clean and well laid out. Loved the snacks when we got there! Very well stocked kitchen and comfortable beds and spacious living room. Loved that we could walk to the beach. The only few small down sides are that the house is right on the main road and the two bedrooms on that side of the house were a bit loud. The shower is also kind of awkward to get in with two seats that make it feel cramped in the shower. And the last small thing is just that the garage opener had been lost and it was tedious to get in and out of the garage, so best to tell guests to just park on the street. But Ammy was very responsive about the garage and communication was smooth, helpful and friendly throughout. Our family of 7 were very comfortable and glad we could bring our dog. Thank you !!

…. The Swan This is such a wonderful vacation home. It accommodated the 5 of us and even though we left our pups at home the host has many dog friendly comforts for furry friends. The home is very clean, roomy, has every amenity, kitchen and otherwise, needed. Large yard with beautiful trail to the beach. Beach is gorgeous and private. We walked to it several times and we were the only ones there. I was even lucky enough to find a perfect sand dollar. The host is very friendly and courteous. I highly recommend this home if you want a top notch air bb experience. Thank you so much!

The layout of the house worked perfectly for us. My grandson loved sleeping in the upper bunk. Both rooms and beds were great and we all used the one shower so I can’t comment on the tub shower. We cooked during our stay and the kitchen was adequate. Your housekeeper might periodically check expiration dates on what’s left in the refrigerator and toss items beyond the expiration dates to avoid a mistaken use. One other modest suggestion is to add easy to carry beach chairs. We debated bringing them, but most often we have them at the house we rent. Just a thought. We had a quick morning Easter Egg hunt before we packed up and left. The weather was all Oregon from sunny days that resulted in sunburns, to rain, wind and a spectacular sunset. Our little 4 year old called it a magic house. We hope to rent it again in the future. Thank you.
