The house was incredibly clean and well-maintained. It came fully equipped with everything we needed — from a functional kitchen to a washing machine and dryer. The surrounding atmosphere was peaceful and close to nature, offering a lot of privacy which made our stay even more relaxing. Edith(host) was super helpful and responsive, always ready to assist or answer any questions we had. Overall, we were very impressed and truly enjoyed our stay. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a comfortable and private getaway! ❤️

Our stay here was a true highlight of our trip. The fairytale village of Elduvík is in a stunning location, and Aksel’s cottage occupies a prime position at the edge of it with breathtaking views of the ocean and the sheer rocky flank of neighboring Kalsoy island. You are located right at the start of a flat path leading to a gorge where we enjoyed cold plunges and watched a seal which Aksel told us loves to be sung to! Elduvik is the perfect base for day trips and even hikes that start right from the village. The cottage itself was more spacious than I expected. The high ceilings with exposed birch bark were beautiful. One of us slept in the loft which was quite comfy! I appreciated the outlet and lamp right at the head of the bed. The kitchen is tiny, but we cooked several successful meals and Aksel generously lent us some cooking oil from his house next door. He also gave us some delicious Faroese salmon he had smoked himself. Book the cottage and stay as long as you possibly can.

We were guests in this beautifully developed boathouse for a week. The location in the middle of the Faroe Islands is unbeatable, from here you can explore the whole country by car! It was just super cozy, quiet and relaxing here. The accommodation was exactly as described and everything was very clean and tidy. We were also very happy about the washing machine and dryer, you don't find that everywhere. Communication with the hosts was always very friendly, informative and fast. We can only recommend the accommodation as well as Maria and Pol as hosts and would definitely come again.

Central location to different islands and sites. Bonus supermarket was nearby - even walking distance. Gas station is also a short distance away. Great place for a short stay.
