And ski tracks/exercise tracks around the corner. Approximately 40 minutes' drive to Säfsen, approximately 1 hour's drive to Romme Alpin and 20 minutes to Fjällberget. It is also possible to have fun with other exciting experiences during the barland season such as biking, hiking trails, fishing, mushroom picking, swimming, etc. See more in my "guidebook".

The main building is newly built in 2021 with new and fresh kitchen and bathroom. Wood-burning fireplace. Open, bright floor plan. Large windows and glass doors to the lake. Newly built sauna (ready to use), but the outside and gazebo are still under construction. Quiet area with proximity to forest with nice paths, including Bergslagsleden. Golf course about 3km away.

FredrikLars farm at Nordmarksbergs Mansion

FredrikLars-gården adjacent to Nordmarksbergs Herrgård: 19th century or older. In this farm, the great inventor John Ericsson's grandfather Nils (b. 1747 – 1790) has lived. On a rock in the grounds of the farm, there should be a curtain with the name of Nils. Picture of this stone can be found in Värmlandsarkiv's photo archive on a picture from 1955 (photo Lennart Thelander, pictures SEVA_11229_36 and SEVA_11230-1), but has not been found in the present day. It's probably hidden by mortar that's been covered over the rocks.

Huset finns på en av de många kulturhistorisk värdefulla gårdarna i den gamla stadsdelen Östanfors i Falun. 2 km till Lugnet (9 minuter med bil). 50 meter till vatten med möjlighet till dopp och intill ligger den mysiga parken Kålgården. Där finns sandstrand (inte officiell badplats), stor lekplats, beachvolleybollplan, grillplats, bord, bänkar, minigolf, boulebana, utegym och stor hundrastgård.
