Monthly Rentals in Fort Chiswell

This was the cleanest and most thought out property. It had high quality amenities and was very spacious. I am in the area often and will definitely be back!

We loved our stay. Everything was as described and perfect.

The view was divine--open pastures with a deer as a nice touch. We could really enjoy it because there were chairs and a table on the balcony. Also, a picnic table with umbrella on the lower level. The hosts answered my questions within minutes. Their tone was friendly, helpful, and playful in response to my messages. They gave us detailed directions on how to locate them. The place was spotless! Some of the furnishings were "period" pieces, big and solid. They were a nice change from most places. The only television we have seen bigger than theirs was a jumbotrom at a Carolina Hurricanes hockey arena!!!! The bed was comfortable and the air conditioners were easily adjusted. They had cold water and fresh ice that were greatly appreciated in 80 degrees heat. If we ever had to be in Whytheville for an overnight in the future, I would be eager to stay there again.

This is a quaint converted farm house; from early century I'm guessing. The decor is nostalgic and the building is authentic. If you're looking to get away to a quiet area with all the little necessities of travel, this is a great place. You're only a few miles off the highway and there are no commercial enterprises nearby. It's very quiet and peaceful. It is adjacent to an old run down school house so the back view is not great but the spaciousness and grounds are very accommodating. The rooms and kitchen were all very well equipped and they provided the biggest basket I've ever seen of "things you may have forgotten" for travelers to use as needed.
