Wordsmith's Cottage

Boasting old floorboards, original beams and quirky features, this historical semi-detached cottage allows guests to switch off from the outside world. The location benefits from easy access to countryside walks but it's also just a few minutes walk from charming shops, cafés and country pubs. Our first guests used the space as an escape to write their scripts and novels and we encourage all guests to relish in the romance of village living and explore their creativity.

It’s the perfect spot to enjoy nature and tranquillity, Ideally located to explore all the attractions that the Forest and Wye valley have to offer. On the edge of The Forest of Dean and Wye Valley, this cosy getaway is a professionally converted and exquisitely decorated annex to our main property. This conversion was completed in 2022. PLEASE NOTE... You are welcome to use the woodburner during the summer months (May - Sept inclusive) but I do not supply firewood during this period. Please bring your own supplies of firelighters, kindling and logs if you would like an inside fire during the summer.

Mill Garden Lodge Romantic Spa break in the Forest

Mill Garden Lodge is one of 2 delightful properties at Parish Mill Holidays. We are dog friendly and accept one small dog, there is a small fee of £25. The properties sit in 7 acres of beautiful well maintained grounds, located just outside the picturesque village of Longhope, on the outskirts of the Forest of Dean, an area of outstanding natural beauty. A perfect place to escape for some R&R and explore the Ancient Forest and surrounding area.
