Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Eyjafjörður

We stayed four nights and did day trips from the house. It was a great starting point for the northern Golden Circle. The house is lovely and as pictured. The kitchen is nicely equipped for meals at home. Loved the views and the hotpot. We would love to return!

Such a pristine setting and view! This was such a quaint village with the kindest people. The weather was not as we expected and Thora brought us some lovely pastries and waffle ingredients plus a puzzle! This was far above and beyond! The view and setup of the house was beyond compare. It’s within 100ft of the local restaurant that has incredible food. Also within a few blocks of the fantastic geothermal bath house. Overall a wonderful stay. We will be back

Beautiful location. Near a ski resort and close to the heart of downtown. Home was very cozy for our family of five and everyone had their own beds. Very peaceful area. A short 5 minute drive to downtown and grocery. Host was very responsive and friendly. Would stay here again.

This was the perfect stop on our travels through Iceland. My kids loved the sheep, the stream and the grass to run in. The house was clean and included all amenities. Our group of 9 was comfortable, and we were pleasantly surprised to see that it was 1 1/2 bathrooms. There’s a half bath upstairs with the kitchen and two bedrooms. The washer and dryer were very helpful considering that this stop was a week into our trip. I would definitely stay here again.

Stayed here for (unfortunately only) one night with a group of six people. Lovely house, very clean and with everything you need. Enjoyed every second of it. Four people could sleep upstairs and two downstairs with two separate bathrooms. Two minutes walking distance from village centre, port and Hering museum. And a beautiful view over the city and the fjord. Big recommendation! :)

This was a beautiful house tucked away in Olafsfjordur. It looked exactly like the pictures and was very clean. The hot tub was a great way to wind down at the end of the day and the weight room in the garage was a welcomed activity after long hours driving around the countryside. Would definitely stay here again!

I wish we could have stayed here for a week. Or a month. Such a beautiful home in a beautiful location. Great design and architecture. Happy little signs of family life but also spacious and accommodating. Both secluded and close to Akureyri. Only regret is that I didn’t try out one of the many hammocks on the property. Loved taking a small watercolor, painted by the host’s mother, home as a reminder of our stay.

We had a fantastic time in the cabin, beautiful views, a fabulous Hot Tub. Loads of space to unwind & a great kitchen, we cooked every evening. Comfy bed, great hot shower & total peace and quiet. Used the Hot Tub every night, Stefan shows you how to fill it. Takes about 2 hours. We saw the Northern lights twice around 1030pm - Midnight. Great base to explore, Akureyri is about 90mins away through an awesome mountain pass. Check the road app for road conditions, we had all 4 seasons on the mountain pass!! Would definitely recommend a stay at this cabin. 3 welcoming dogs, Osk plus 2 others visiting & a very friendly cat, Sigga, who can open the door to get in. 😀

Great apartment with everything we needed. Comfy beds and a well equipped kitchen so we could cook our own meal. A great shower as well. Our host was friendly and helpful. We would highly recommend this apartment

Sehr nette Gastgeberin, sehr ruhig gelegen, sehr grosszügige und geräumige Unterkunft, wunderbarer Blick auf den Fjord und Akureyri, sehr toll ausgestattet mit allem was es braucht (auch Geschirrspüler, Waschmaschine, viele Badetücher), toll ausgestattete Küche, bequeme Betten. Unschlagbares Preis-Leistungsverhältnis! Herzlichen Dank, sehr empfehlenswert.

Parfait emplacement pour visiter la région

Wir haben 3 Nächte in der Wohnung verbracht. Die Lage ist sehr schön, toller Blick aus dem Hot Pot. Die Kinder haben die Zeit mit dem tollen, sehr kinderlieben Hund genossen. 20 Minuten von Akureyri entfernt. Wir waren einen Tag im schönen Diamond-Circle und am Myvatn unterwegs, den anderen zum Whalewhatching in Husavik. Die Wohnung ist sehr zu empfehlen.

Arna was a wonderful and communicative host, and the apartment was spacious, cozy, and near to many amenities in Akureyri. It was perfect for my trip.

Wonderful stay at Asa’s place. Was a short drive to downtown and easy access to everything around the area. It was a perfect place for our family.

The place was amazing, but when we arrived, the instructions showed a black lock box . The picture didn’t even match the two that were there , after trying several times with the code and texting Egill with no response we tried the white one and found the keys . And the whole week we were there no response or apology. Made me feel like he was just in it for the money and didn’t care . But again the place was nice . I would stay there again . Hope he reads this and changes his ways .. this probably won’t get posted because it makes him look bad .. but that’s the honest truth .

This Airbnb in Akureyri was a great choice, as it was close to the centre and the interior was really nice (furnished with wooden mid-century furniture, which was a big plus for me). Helga, our host was very friendly and helpful, she recommended great restaurants, we tried one of them, and had a top notch experience.

Petur’s place is right in the main district with walking distance to shopping and restaurants. Weather wasn’t good but we were comfy inside this place. It’s nice 👍 place to stay.

Big spacious apartment with a beautiful backdrop of mountains out of the windows. The apartment is equipped with all necessary amenities and Tomas is an amazing host. I would surely recommend it this place for exploring northern Iceland.

This was by far the best place we stayed during our visit to Iceland. The unit was nicely equipped from the kitchen to the linens. Location was walkable to dinner and local shopping. We were even able to walk to the docks for our whale watching excursion. Our only driving was to the Forest Lagoon hot springs (highly recommend them, we went twice)

Nicely decorated apartment, spacious kitchen, free street parking right by the door, responsive host, good linen. Note that the washing machine and dryer are in a shared room with the apartment downstairs.

Tinna’s place was amazing. We drove around Iceland, and it was the perfect mid-point. It felt like home, and it gave us the space and amenities we needed to recharge. We could have stayed much longer. We loved the space and the details. The plants were amazing. Thank you for sharing your amazing home! We would love to return!

We felt very much at home in Ragnheiður's cosy apartment. It's very quiet with view over pastures, horses and mountains. You'll find a fully equiped kitchen with everything you need and the whole flat ist VERY clean! Even on foggy days there is a lot of daylight in the living room. We were allowed to use the washing machine, which was a lifesaver. Ragnheiður was very kind and helpful and always very quick to respond to questions!
