This snug, grass-roofed eco-cabin offers panoramic views of the Atlantic Ocean. Enjoy a warm Irish welcome, mountain walks on the Beara Way or snorkelling through nearby reefs. Sample local cheeses, lamb, fish and seafood or stoke up the wood-burning stove, have a glass of wine and and savour the peace and tranquillity! Word of warning: we are VERY remote, (1km off the road down a rough track). With almost no public transport, own transport (eg car) is highly recommended - see Getting Around!

We have refurbished this fabulous old building in Urhan using local craftsmen. The building was originally a national school for many years from 1884. It then became a post office and shop for over 40 years. There are fabulous views of the sea at the front and views of the mountains at the rear of the property. It is very close to the Urhan Pub (less than 100 metres) so you can wander down for a pint of Guinness or a glass of wine and take in the breath-taking views of Coulagh bay.

We are a working beef farm and can look after your bikes/motorbikes on site in a safe environment. If you love the ocean, you will love this place. It is an ocean front property directly on the sea, looking at the Bere Island Lighthouse, very quite and private within walking distance to Castletownbere. It has a private automatic gate and the property has a slipway to the sea. Beautiful area to go canoeing. Seals can be seen from time to time. You can watch the Castletownbere fishing boat going out to sea.

We had a wonderful stay at the curragh.The weather was fabulous, so we ate on the patio and went for long walks every day to Ardgroom and the local pier. The whole place is very peaceful it’s really off the beaten track.The views and scenery are incredible.The house was clean light and airy with a lovely kitchen / dinning area. Thank you Rory for a wonderful stay we look forward to coming back again next year.

A Sea Haven Like no other.

We had amazing stay at Martha's home. The view was spectacular and we saw some of the most beautiful sunsets we've ever seen. The house is spacious and was absolutely spotless when we arrived. We were quite sad that the jacuzzi bath wasn't working for our whole stay. We loved using the house as a base to explore the Wild Atlantic Way and Dursey island was a highlight for us. We loved chilling in the evening with a fire and admiring the view.

We have just returned from a wonderful weekend stay at Sweet Retreat. Its location is right in the middle of the town & the place is spotlessly clean. Lizzie has done a wonderful job & was the perfect host. I would highly recommend staying here.
