This was a clean nice place to stay right near a waterfall and beach! It was quaint, private and felt very personal. I would definitely stay here again!

Immaculate home, excellent kitchen, very quiet and comfortable. Bedding and towels were ample and clean. Washer and drier were spotless and a patio for air drying was great. A car is required for almost everything as is typical for Madeira.

José and Irene were exceptionally kind hosts. Very warm and offered us the opportunity to taste the fresh fruit, veggies and eggs from their garden. The apartment is very functional with a nice view with sunsets. Good location to access the island's road network, as well as hiking trails. The area was very quiet.

I had a wonderful experience thanks to Ricardo and colleague Liga, who were incredibly helpful and kind. They truly made us feel welcome during our stay. Calheta is a lovely destination, perfect for those seeking a relaxed atmosphere with excellent amenities. The views from the balcony are simply breathtaking, and falling asleep to the soothing sounds of the river trickling down from the levadas was a highlight of our trip. I highly recommend having a car, as the parking facilities are great and make it easy to explore the area. If you're looking for a peaceful getaway, this is definitely the place for you!
