Cabin holiday rentals in Escondido

What a beautiful property and surroundings. Headed up for a quiet weekend and to enjoy the surrounding Fallbrook area. The cottage was exactly as described and is the perfect size for a couple's romantic weekend. The jacuzzi was heated and ready to go and the kitchen came with a starter kit of coffee and basic cooking staples. Had a bit of a snafu with the coded key lock one evening but that was because we entered the code incorrectly the first time. Dawn was very responsive and remotely opened the lock to set us in. We had a bit of a lack of communication regarding a cheese and butter making class we had booked, but we will make sure to get that completed on our next trip! Overall this is an amazing property and experience. We will be back!

Lydia was a very responsive host and was really easy to communicate with. We were a little skeptical because we knew we would be staying on the property where she lived with her family and were worried about privacy but the cabin is very private and although we naturally bumped into Lydia and her husband a few times, they did not spend any time out their back yard (where the cabin is located) for the duration of our stay so we had the place and the yard pretty much to ourselves which was great. We didn't realize how far away we would be from shops and restaurants. It is about a 20 minute walk to the nearby town so we did spend a lot of money on ubers but that was our own fault for not doing our research beforehand. Overall Lydias place is very clean and had everything we needed for our stay, she even had some stuff in the fridge and cleaning products which was really convenient. Thank you Lydia for a lovely stay.

This was a great place for our trip to Oceanside. A little far to drive to Oceanside harbour, but on its own what the place offers the value is superb. Large property, space to play for children on a fenced property, felt very safe. An old character cabin, the whole family loved it.

This place is exactly what you see. You have all the privacy you need, but you're not too far away from the market. Finding the place, getting inside and the amount of things that you can do at the home, makes it worth the stay. The house was spotless, and everything in the house works. No surprises.

We had the most wonderful stay in this peaceful and cozy home! The amenities are amazing and the wood fired sauna was the cherry on top. The host was very responsive throughout our entire stay and provided us with everything we needed. The location is impeccable, in the middle of the forest and surrounded by beauty and quiet. We really didn’t want to leave this place but will definitely be back again soon! The home is so unique and very well equipped. We can’t wait to repeat our trip back here!

Place was adorable!! I will say some of the drive was scary like we were driving through a cloud so just make sure you don’t drive late at night. I’m sure it was just cause the time of year but still! Overall loved the place and are so happy we got to stay here!!

The on site manager was just a call away and was very helpful! The area had friendly people, we were able to enjoy a peaceful stay. I’ve stayed at a smaller place which was more expensive and didn’t have as many amenities included so this stay was definitely worth the price ! Great view of the stars while we roasted s’mores, over all a perfect weekend getaway trip!! <3

Very nice and quiet area, if you wanna stay away from everything then this is the perfect little spot for you. Enjoyed my stay here and would definitely stay again when I want to get away.

Nice and peaceful place. It has everything we need. We cooked good meals, stayed warm, took warm shower. We really enjoyed fire place. Sandrine is very responsive. Thank you for hosting this nice cabin. I recommend this place.

Beautiful peaceful relaxing getaway, we would definitely stay again!!

Beautiful A-frame cabin with great views from the top floor! The common spaces (living room, dining area, and kitchen) are much more spacious than they look in the pictures. Kitchen is well stocked with pans and utensils, bedrooms were spotless, and check-in and check-out instructions are clear. The fireplace is tricky to operate (especially if you’ve never built a fire) but the hosts provide a really useful instructional video. In terms of location, it’s an easy drive to the observatory and hiking trails. The one minus is that you can see and hear the neighbors on all sides and, since the property is not fenced, we encountered their off-leash dogs in the front yard a couple of times. The dogs are all friendly but, if you are traveling with your own dogs or children, this is something to keep in mind.
