Holiday rentals with a fireplace in Encounter Bay

We travelled with my elderly mum who has limited mobility so having the accessible features in the house (rails in bathroom, ramps from the garden to the back door, minimal steps etc) was great. Unfortunately while we were there, there were some roadworks and lane blocked off with wire mesh between the front of the house and the view to the bluff but the house is beautifully situated and the views back to Granite Island were still fabulous. The hosts were excellent - helpful and quick to reply when we had questions about how a couple of the appliances worked. (If we had one suggestion it would be to provide some print outs / copies of main pages of manuals for the oven, heaters and samsung smart TV all of which had us scratching our old heads at one time or another). Kitchen very well equipped with everything you could possibly need. Being so close to the Yilki deli and the pizza place there was also a plus. We would definitely visit again.

We had a fantastic holiday at Surfrider Lodge, regardless of it being during winter there was still so much to do and to keep ourselves busy with. We loved the beautiful warm spa that even on the cold evenings was so warm, comfortable and relaxing. The games room provides so much entertainment and fun family times for everyone. My son loved the outdoor swing and trampoline, he spent time outside enjoying these every day we were there. The house was well equipped and everything we needed was supplied. Kylie was a fantastic host, very responsive and helpful with anything we needed. Highly recommend to anyone thinking of booking Surfrider Lodge, we loved our time here and look forward to returning in the future.

we loved the location of this cottage for our weekend stay..it was quaint with every provision one neefs for a getaway and close to all we wanted to do. our hosts were prompt with communication and the cottage is clean and tidy. we would encourage others to stay

Our party of five adults had a relaxing and comfortable stay. House was spacious, clean and well equipped in a quiet location. I usually take extra tea towels, paper towels etc but I didn’t need to as Eleonora ensured we had everything we needed and more. The complimentary bottle of wine was a thoughtful and very much appreciated extra! Eleonora is a friendly and responsive host and I would highly recommend a stay at her holiday house. We will definitely be back.

We stayed here with 9 family members and had the best time. We all agreed it is the best Airbnb we have stayed at. From the attention to detail, games provided, linen, welcome gifts and location/view. We will be back!

The house was incredible - exactly as described. 360 views of vineyards, a beautiful yard with fenced pool that was perfect for our young boys to run around and ride bikes, and very comfortable beds. We did a big cook up one night and the kitchen was well equipped. A large indoor dining table and outdoor dining table, and a large family area with big screen tv and lovely warming fireplace. Aircon throughout. On a cold May night it was very cozy! I would highly recommend this property, we were 7 adults and 2 kids and slept here very comfortably.

Beautiful home, extremely well set up for guests, lovely rural views with some cute alpacas and sheep just over the fence. My 13 year old daughter and I stayed for a week of horse riding instruction nearby and felt so happy to be staying here in this gorgeous spot! We loved the kitchen and laundry facilities, and huge plus for the amazing hamper of breakfast goodies on arrival, as we had not been to the shops yet and has a lovely breakfast of bacon & eggs on first morning. Beds and pillows nice and comfy, and great amount of space in all the bedrooms and living spaces. Convenient to Meadows town with bakery, pub and cafes, and not too far from a supermarket at Mt Barker. We had a very comfortable stay, and would love to come again!

Beautiful apartment overlooking the ocean. Amazing view and such a beautiful sunset on the balcony. The house is modern, clean and has so much for the family to do together but also the rooms are spaced out enough to get quiet time alone. Had a great time staying at the Salty Seagull.

Lovely scenery with a view of the hills, beach and animals on the properties. Short drive from the pristine carrickalinga beach and Normanville town. A very generous welcome pack was provided. Be aware the property can be shared with other residents in 2 other apartments.

Just the two of us staying again for the second time we have stayed here. Happy to go back again, so clean, comfortable, great view, you feel relaxed soon as you walk in. We didn’t want to leave. Host is fantastic to deal with. Thanks for everything Graham.

Lovely area, lots for the kids to do and safe. Close to the beach and a lovely walk along the beach to the Life Saving Club. House was nice but provisions in the kitchen very basic. We had a lovely weekend.

Inspiring decor and surroundings. Casa del mar was a gorgeous getaway for my family and I with all the essential amenities. We spent the weekend admiring the interiors, layout and view. There’s lot to do, we played pool, finska, puzzles, went on walks and watched movies at night. We hope to be back again

Our family stayed at Lapito House to celebrate Christmas and it was everything we wished for. The accommodation feels luxurious and the location is magical. We spent hours relaxing and enjoying each other’s company on the front deck, which overlooks rolling hills, farm animals and wonderful wildlife. Pia is an excellent host and we felt extremely welcome.
