If you like peace and quiet and want to spend a vacation close to nature, this is the perfect place for you. Our vacation home is located in the old village center of Petkum, close to the ferry terminal to Ditzum. From here you can enjoy the vastness of East Frisia on both sides of the Ems - whether on foot or by bike or while fishing on one of the many canals (with guest card) or while watching the wild geese. Culturally, Emden also has plenty to offer (art gallery, state museum, ...).

The Old Painter‘s House, Ferienhaus am Wasser

Wunderschönes Ferienhaus mit großem Garten in direkter Wasserlage am Kanal mit traumhaften Blick in die ostfriesische Landschaft. Das Haus wurde umfassend saniert und renoviert. Wichtig war uns dabei, den ursprünglichen Charakter beizubehalten und diesen mit heutigem Wohnkomfort zu verbinden. Regionalität, Nachhaltigkeit und Individualität waren unser Kompass. Am Rande des historischen Dorfkerns in ruhiger Lage, nur einen Katzensprung zum Deich, zum Hafen und zur Fähre nach Ditzum.

Rare find! Four bedrooms (three with double beds, one with a bunk bed) and a living room provide space for 2–8 people. One kitchen, two bathrooms, a storage room and a separate toilet, plus two terraces (one covered) overlooking the water. Four private car parking spaces on the property. The garden/house is right on the water and is perfect for swimming, water sports or fishing. There is also a private jetty, including free use of pedal boats (30 March – 15 November).

This approximately 80 m² house dating back to 1875 is a true one-of-a-kind. In 2018, it was poured by us and renovated from the ground up with a lot of love for detail. Our goal is to make the historical completeness of this house livable even in the present. Our guests can therefore look forward to a thoughtful and lovingly furnished holiday home in one of the most beautiful locations in Emdens. About 10 minutes by car from the city center of the seaport city.

Monument-protected bakery in the town center of Rysum: Live in exceptional ambiance. Spacious living-dining kitchen, three bedrooms, bathroom with corner tub, one shower room. Relax in this special and quiet place to stay. Located directly on the Petkumerhafen, it offers many opportunities for bike tours and walks. Several times a day, the ferry goes to the idyllic fishing village of Ditzum. Emden and the East Frisian surrounding area offer many attractions and leisure opportunities. The kitchen has a dishwasher. If necessary, two guest beds can be provided for children. Linens and towels are provided.

The listed house was extensively renovated in 2020/21 with a lot of love. The tastefully furnished house has lost none of its charm and originality. Witnesses to its old age are the original parquet and plank floors in the living rooms and bedrooms and terrazzo floors in the kitchen. The house is very carefully furnished with beautiful softwood antiques. In sunshine, life takes place outside on the terrace in the enclosed garden.

Welcome to Tidehuus Krummhörn. Our house is a detached house and stands on a 1600 square meter plot. It was lovingly renovated in 2020. Last makeover of the living room 10/24. It is located in the quiet village of Loquard. It is about 2 km to the dike edge, 1 km to the baker (Rysum), 11 km to other shopping (Pewsum) or 12 km (Emden) The Tidehuus is a good starting point for extensive bike tours in East Frisia.
