Holiday rentals with a fire pit in Ellsworth

Cozy home, exactly as described, extremely clean, fully stocked kitchen, and quiet neighborhood. The location was perfect for driving over to Acadia National Park. The portable heaters worked very well and the duvet kept us warm at night. Worth the price given the season of fall tourism down in the Bar Harbor area. Even got to see a moose in the backyard on the way home!

Seven stars out of five! We have stayed in numerous places in Maine over the years, and given a lot of five star reviews. This one surpasses them all, hence the off the charts grade. It is incredibly well provisioned, spotless, spacious, inviting, and has an enormous porch with a view so lovely it looks fake. You can't even hear your neighbors, let alone see them. We heard loons, crows, and one very belligerent owl, but not once did we hear our neighbors. The only way you will know the tenant is home, is that a car will park opposite on the side of the house from you. The fire pit makes it easy and convenient to host a fire, even if it is only for 45 minutes or so. Kayaks are provided along with life jackets. At night you can see millions of stars. Place is so peaceful and comfortable, we almost didn't make it into the park haha. We will definitely be back!

My husband and I really enjoyed our stay in Holden, ME! This Airbnb was so nice and clean and pretty close to Acadia National Park. I needed to stay close to work in the park and this spot was the perfect distance away. It was quiet, peaceful, and away from tourist traffic. Also close to gas stations and a grocery store. The hosts were so friendly and nice and we would highly recommend anyone stay here! Thank you Dana + family!

This house was amazing—hosts really have thought of everything when it comes to guest experience! Kayaking out to the tiny islands in the bay a couple times allowed us to see horseshoe crabs and bald eagles up close. The fire pit was great and the “s’mores station” with supplies in the kitchen upon arrival was so cute and thoughtful. Our three kids loved this place and didn’t want to leave at the end of the week. Our boys especially loved the lower level game room with ping-pong, arcade games, and pop-a-shot. The kids also loved reading on the sofa in the upstairs loft overlooking the kitchen. The kitchen is well stocked and we cooked dinner there a couple times during the week. The hosts gave great local recommendations as well—the craft beer at Fogtown Brewing in Ellsworth (less than 15-min. drive) is excellent, and it is very kid-friendly with a large outdoor eating area and wood-fired pizza. We’d love to return to this house! Mosquitoes are fierce so bring bug repellent.

We had a great stay at this home in Ellsworth! It was a nice, clean, and spacious place, perfect for our family visit to Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park. The location made it easy to explore the area, and we really appreciated how well-stocked and functional the kitchen was. One highlight was enjoying the bonfire at night, it added a cozy, relaxing touch to our trip. The Three-bedroom layout worked well for us, though we do wish both bathrooms were upstairs since all the bedrooms are located there. Still, everything else was spot-on, and the place had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Highly recommend for families or groups visiting the area!

Wonderful stay at this beautiful oceanfront property with amazing views overlooking MDI. The pictures do not do it justice, especially the cottage house as we found it much better than expected. We would love to return. Our very large family has rented all over the states, Europe & the Caribbean and we've paid up to $15k a week on properties, so we have a feel for value. This is well price and fitted our small group perfectly, including the 3 full bath. I loved the cozy warm decor, which was appropriate for the surrounding, although not luxurious (not my thing). Finally, the house lots of little extra like spices, shower products, etc. Only very minor issue is that it could use steak knives, otherwise great. And, a hot tub would make it even over the top.

We were so beyond happy with our stay at Brianna’s! The house was so cozy and well kept, and the property was beautiful and peaceful! She was so helpful with giving us recommendations on where to eat and things to do, and she always answered any questions we had in a timely manner and was super friendly. We were honestly planning our next booking with Brianna before we even finished the first lol We can’t wait to book with her again!

Very nice little apartment in a quiet and woodsy neighborhood in Southwest Harbor, a very short drive from plenty of restaurants and so forth, and also convenient for exploring the rest of MDI. The apartment was clean, well-equipped, and comfortable, and Caroline was responsive and very friendly, as were the rest of her family. Would definitely stay there again.

A quiet bungalow away from the tourist dense center of Bar Harbor and easily accessible to great food, hikes, and the park. The kitchen was well stocked and the whole place was thoughtfully decorated and appealing to all of us!

So peaceful but off season. So not sure how it would be with lots of traffic and people. But the private deck and entrance was wonderful. The water view couldn’t have been more up close and personal with the beautiful harbor. The place was clean and cozy. Perfect lighting. Didn’t watch tv once. A convenient common room for extra supplies or a cup of coffee. Staff was very friendly when we were checking out. No front desk attendant and none needed. They answer messages quickly!

I cannot say enough about Nancy, the unit I stayed in, or her hospitality! This apartment was perfect and cozy for my visit, with lots of personal touches and extras - if you need it, she’s already thought of it and has it ready for you. She was also very accommodating when my flight was cancelled and I had to shift my days around a bit. The personal touches were perfect - I had farm fresh eggs for breakfast and some delicious muffins too. A wonderful stay, thank you! I will most definitely be back! ❤️

The cabin in Penobscot was exactly what we needed for a quick trip away. Not only was it quiet and peaceful, but the cabin itself was beautiful, thoughtfully appointed, and extremely comfortable. We came up to Maine to see Acadia and Bar Harbor, and while they were a bit of a drive away, it was an easy and scenic drive. The cabin is perfect for couples and families alike, and we can’t wait to stay again in the future!

First ever air bnb stay and it’ll be hard to beat! Great views (even got to see some ball lightening in the distance) very dog friendly, the hot tub was awesome! Super cozy place, will definitely be back!

We stayed at the Bambi Inn on Art Farm and loved everything about it! The space is thoughtfully designed with cheerful custom art and decor. The hosts designed a custom manual/booklet that blows the typical air bnb binder out of the water. The home was well equipped with everything you might need from extra blankets & towels, to kitchen and bathroom needs, first aid supplies, sunscreen, bugspray, and more. It’s impossible not to smile when arriving at the Bambi Inn. The hosts provide bicycles to use for the short ride to beautiful Lamoine Beach. We were able to get to Acadia National Park, Bar Harbor, and other neighboring towns with ease. I’d highly recommend booking here!

Our stay at Dave's lakefront cabin was exactly what we'd hoped for, and then some. This isn't just a rental; it feels like a genuinely preserved piece of Maine – authentic and full of character. Being right on the lake was the absolute highlight. The views are truly epic, offering stunning sunrises and peaceful evenings that we savored from the deck and the dock. It was the perfect backdrop for morning coffee and winding down after exploring. Dave is an exceptional host. He was incredibly welcoming and thoughtful, making sure we had everything we needed without ever being intrusive. You can tell he cares deeply about this place and his guests. The cabin is filled with thoughtful touches that are one-of-a-kind, from the cozy throws to the unique decor that tells a story, making it feel less like a temporary stay and more like a cherished home.

Megan’s home is beautiful and welcoming. It’s ideally located on the quieter side of the island. She’s a wonderful and knowledgeable host. We would stay here again without hesitation. Charming, spacious and comfortable.

Kelly's cabin was a very quiet and peaceful place where we were able to enjoy the beach right on the property, watch the sunset and the changing water levels on the shore. The cabins are about a 45 minute drive from Acadia and Bar Harbor which are a must for a long or short vacation in Maine. Our cabin was simple but had everything we needed and Kelly was very responsive with any questions we had.

enjoyed the cabin tremendously. Very quaint, peaceful private. You can hang out all day and relax, or you can go to different surrounding towns. The main road dead in to the beach (free) the state park ( 6$ fee). Ellsworth has cute shops and cafe with good food, but we cooked at the cabin a lot. About 35 minutes away. We found a real good restaurant called Cafe dry dock, the raw oysters were the best, the lazy lobster, shrimp cocktail mmm, we ended up there twice. Everyone one nice. Bar harbor was nice to walk around. Acadia national Park was great (get pass online ahead of time for entering- and a pass to go up to Cadillac mountain which was stunning and they have a store up there with the best old soakers root beer. You'll love it. We ended up in Lubeck at the border of Canada, so remember to bring your passport. So a little information at Cadillac mountain. You are on the most highest point Northeast.
