My family and I had a great stay at Ami’s place while hiking Acadia. Her house is so comfortable and homey, spotlessly clean, prepared all kitchen and bathroom appliances one could possibly need, and she is so helpful and responsive. The location is about 30-40min drive from Acadia trailheads, but it is close to the local grocery store (Hannaford) and Walgreens.

Keith and Lisa went above and beyond with this unit. Out of the airbnbs I have stayed in this one was by far the best and the other reviews are not exaggerating. This place was supplied for anything you’d need from a baking sheet for a full pizza pie to bug spray for any outdoor needs. The list goes on; umbrellas, smores ingredients, disposable razors, slippers, cleaning supplies, and more. This place was stocked better than my own home. We felt super comfortable and the place was very clean, so clean that it all felt newly purchased. Keith was quick to respond to any questions we had and also provided extensive guides on local restaurants/activities in the Airbnb. When we come back we would 100% stay here again. The drive to Bar Harbor was about 30 minutes and the stay was well worth the money we saved compared to staying somewhere closer to the park.

Tina's house was very homely and welcoming. She provided us with all amenities to ensure a comfortable stay - plenty of towels, extra laundry pods, dishwasher liquid, small pack of toiletries, cleaning supplies and trash bags. The house was spotlessly clean when we arrived. It was well illuminated, ventilated and she also provided extra portable fans in each bedroom. There were extra comforters and sufficient hangers. The kitchen had a small provision of condiments and lots of cooking utensils. Dishwasher and dryer/washer worked great! Living room had lots of books, a smart TV - enough to keep us entertained on rainy days. The bathroom and shower arrangement was very comfortable. Tina was very friendly and accommodating of a last minute change from 3 guests to 4. She proactively checked on us and gave clear instructions for check in & check out. The house is very close to Walmart (5 min drive), good restaurants and just 15 - 20 min drive from Acadia NP. I highly recommend this place.

My wife and I spent a few days here after our wedding. We found it to be the perfect spot outside of Bar Harbor where we frequently visited just 35-40 minutes away! The house was clean and Skyler was very responsive and accommodating. Ellsworth has a nice little downtown as well with some nice stores and good restaurants. If you’re looking for a nice place to stay, where the host is responsive and the house is quiet, my wife and I definitely recommend this stay!

We had a great stay at the Penthouse! It was a perfect launching point for our downeast adventures in Acadia and points beyond. There was a beautiful waterfront view in a charming small town. The space was cozy, clean, modern and very comfortable for our stay. Highly recommend it.

Patrick was a great host. The Hanniford House is very charming. It’s obvious that Patrick loves the home by how well he’s maintained it. We arrived after dark making it a little difficult to get in, but Patrick was right there to help us, so things went smoothly. The neighborhood is very quiet and we felt safe there. Downtown Ellsworth is within walking distance with lots of restaurants and little shops. If you like peace & quiet, and appreciate a well-maintained historical home then I highly recommend Hanniford House and its host Patrick.

Beautiful apartment with every amenity we could need. Very thoughtfully stocked and all of the appliances were very high quality. Highly recommend!

The stay was great. Albeit a little noisy from the road, it was pleasant and glad we were able to cook for our amount of time there.

This place is a hidden gem in Ellsworth. It’s only about half an hour to Bar Harbor and Acadia. Far enough away to not feel like you’re surrounded by crowds but close enough to enjoy the area! Marilyn was friendly and communicated with us from booking to checkout. The place was equipped with a full kitchen which was nice as we utilized this for home cooked meals and late night snacks. The beds and pillows made sleeping a dream. I highly recommend this place for anyone looking to stay for their northern Maine trip!!

This home is fantastic. it is in such a beautiful and serene setting. you get to watch the sunrises over the mountains in the back, and the outdoor shower is so amazing. inside is comfy and the bed was huge! great hosts as well. very attentive and helping.

This Airbnb is perfect for any getaway, especially for families with kids! Within an hour of Acadia, beautiful blueberry field, and close to Bar Harbor! The apartment is spotless and has everything you could need from kitchen utensils down to the dryer sheets! Ashtyn was extremely responsive and even made sure to bring down some toys for my niece! Highly recommend!

This was a great find right near Acadia. The place was spotless and Diwas was a great host. Would definitely stay here again.

Mark's place was lovely, very comfortable. We usually stay at a local motel, this was definitely a better choice and worth the money. I hope to stay there again, and will recommend to family and friends.

This apartment was the perfect cozy place to come back after a long day of hiking in Acadia National Park or a day exploring Bar Harbor. The location was perfect and the free parking was an absolute plus.

Easy walk to area restaurants and shops and 30 minute drive to downtown Bar Harbor. The space was exactly as described. It was spotless and comfortable. Perfect for two couples. We really enjoyed our stay, and Ellsworth is a fun place to explore.

John and Lucy's place in Lincolnville is a hidden gem, a quiet, enjoyable world of its own. From the dinner table, there is a commanding woodland view, with a meadow rich in wildflowers sitting just in front of you. Down a trail, a few feet from your front door, is the ocean with a gorgeous panarama of sailing boats and distant islands. Sit down and soak up the salty sea air (chairs are provided!). John and Lucy are very welcoming; their cozy abode is well worth a visit - surprise yourself and relax!

Nice room very close to Acadia National Park. The place was really clean, and the little kitchen had everything we needed to cook.

A must stay for those exploring Acadia/Bar Harbor! The Open Hearth Inn was truly a family feel. The owners and the wonderful management team thought of everything you could want/need. This included treats for doggos, snacks for guests, board games, and even s’more kits to enjoy by the fire. Very quick drive to Acadia and Bar Harbor but also a lovely place to hangout on the days when you can’t do one more hike. Thank you for a wonderful experience!

This place was so cute! We loved our room and it was in a great location to explore Acadia for the weekend.

We LOVED our stay at Open Hearth Inn! We booked the room as a landing space during our trip to Acadia and it was perfect. The coziest and quaintest space, just outside of busy Bar Harbor! There were so many amenities (hot tub, full kitchen, fire pit, etc.) and the hosts were so generous and welcoming- there were even brownies left for guests one morning! 😭❤️ There are a plethora of guides and recommendations from the hosts in the lobby, we utilized them to find a kayaking spot during our trip. The common spaces are equally as cozy as the home, complete with loads of games and a TV! We are so glad we chose Open Hearth Inn and enjoyed spending time in the most homely and beautiful space!

I can't say enough about this place. Traveling with 4 seniors with mobility problems can be a challenge but Linda was beyond amazing and accommodating. The home had everything you needed and more. I can't wait to be able to come back

Perfect studio. Used the jetted tub, nice and relaxing. Lots of extras (new toiletries, coffee, filters, sugar, etc.) much appreciated and used. The view, esp at sunrise, was stunning. Quiet neighbors. The beach store (pizza, sandwiches, salads, coffee and more) was very good. Just down stairs and one building over. (get there early for their muffins) I would certainly stay here again.

Robin was very communicative and thoughtful during our stay. The place was exactly as described in the listing and was immaculate upon our arrival. The space was decorated tastefully and had everything we needed to be comfortable. Great location to be near the fair in the fall! Would recommend this location and host.
