We loved our stay at Dora's Cottage; it was peaceful, cosy and we felt instantly at home in an area of the country that we already love. Somewhere to relax and re-charge; the cottage was so comfortable, spotlessly clean, and they have thought of absolutely everything for a short stay. We would definitely stay again.

We really enjoyed the accommodation and had a good time. Allonby is small and quiet, and it was good that we'd stocked up on food etc before we got there. The views across the Firth are lovely, but we found the landscape apart from that less exciting. (It would be great for cyclists though!)That said, as a quiet get-away, it fitted the bill very nicely.

Beautiful lake view !! Very scenic!! we spent easter break in this lovely house, Beautiful and romantic surroundings. Highly recommend for Nature lovers!! this place offers comfort and stunning views. Alot to do around this area. James is really friendly, helpful host and always responsive. Overall positive experience!

Lovely weekend here. Great location and the accommodation was fab. Couldn’t fault it. We used it as a base for walking and it was nice to come back and chill. Great night sleep in comfy beds and the shower was just what we needed after a day of trekking. We ate on site one night, food was good and the staff were friendly. We will return ☺️
