Holiday rentals with lake access in Eastern Europe

Dear Tina, We loved „Solli“, your arctic paradise at the sea. So much space and light because of the glassfront towards the fjord. Spectacular view and best private Sauna we ever saw. Everything around the house was so easy, thanks also to the perfect information about everything there was to know you and René provided beforehand and your quick responses whenever we had a question. Even though the house is not „infant safe“ we managed pretty good travelling with a 17 month old boy, since there were no stairs inside going down and the upward ones we could block and since it was summer season no need to use the fireplace. Plenty of room to play in the living room. The kitchen was equipped perfetly. Even a bedroom with the greatest view. We stayed with 3 (and a half😉) generations and everyone loved it. Absolutely wonderful lakeside cottage with a wood sauna and outdoor pool. Peaceful and beautiful environment and a cozy and spacious cottage. Everything went great.

Wow, what can I say. A FABULOUS place with a FABULOUS host. Ljubica welcomed us with a hug and showed us to our apartment where she’d left a small bottle of wine and chocolates. The apartment was exactly as per the listing - if not even better. The sound of the waterfall lulling us to sleep was amazing. Sitting out on the terrace looking out at the waterfall was so peaceful - I’m missing it already. Ljubica was such a friendly host - she even brought us some home made fruit juice which she’d made from fruit in her garden and her mums home made brandy. I highly recommend staying at Ljubica house - if we ever come back to Croatia we will definitely stay again and for longer. This is the best Air B&B I’ve ever stayed in. Hvala lijepa Ljubica

The four of us spent an extended weekend at the property. The location, in the middle of nature directly on the lake, inspired us. A great place to slow down and enjoy!

We cannot express how much we loved our stay at Saverio’s. It was absolutely PERFECT! From the moment we arrived, we felt completely at home. The home itself was beautiful in construction, clean, stylishly decorated, and thoughtfully stocked with everything we needed, including little extras like fresh coffee, teas, local advertisements for restaurants, and also recommended the local grocery for toiletries or food items. Saverio’s home couldn’t be in a better location, tucked in a charming part of the countryside with views that will take your breath away and make you fall in love with this part of Italy. Even being out-of-town, you are close to everything. The town of Magione has a wonderful and friendly restaurant with fantastic pizza and entrees- I Cento Passi. Saverio, thank you for allowing us to stay in your beautiful home, we are grateful for the experience.

Fabulous views from the lovely waterfront patio. We swam 15 feet from our room and heard fish jumping in the night. An A/C is needed for summer. The yard plantings are beautiful.

Inese and Ronald's house is great. Quietly located and a little off the beaten path. It is very well furnished and has everything you need. There is a great sauna and a wonderful whirlpool. Inese and Ronald responded quickly to requests and were very helpful and accommodating. Thank you so much for this great stay.

Perfect summer house to escape city life! Highly recommended for those seeking a slow, relaxing lifestyle. The hosts, Jack and Maria, are incredibly warm and welcoming. Their small dog adds even more charm. They were generous and helpful—solving issues like extra mattresses, showing us how to use the sauna, offering fresh vegetables from their garden, and even helping when we had trouble getting back to the cabin. The location is convenient: you can take a bus to Orminge Centrum (with Systembolaget, Willy’s, etc.), and the SL ferry is just 700m away, taking you to Slussen or Vaxholm. The lake is only a 5-minute walk away. Best for people who want to enjoy cabin life and take it slow.🥰 My mistake: I had my family stay here but planned daily trips to Stockholm, which made them tired. Also, with lots of luggage, Bolt rides were costly and hard to book. It’s not that close to the city—either take 3 buses (~1 hr) or walk 700m to the ferry (~1 hr total), with limited schedules.

My son and I had a great time at Jana's place. Very nice apartment, well-equipped, very clean, well-appointed and decorated. Wonderful mountain views from the terrace. The apartment is located a 15 min walk from Lake Bled. Peaceful and surrounded by nature. There are beehives next to the house and we have the opportunity to buy real and delicious honey. Jana is a very kind and discreet host. Thanks for all the tips. We had a hard time leaving this wonderful place.

A small house facing Lake St. Wolfgang, the view from the balcony is very good, the room is spacious and clean, the kitchen is fully equipped, the location is next to the St. Wolfgang Peter Hotel, it is very convenient, the town of St. Wolfgang is also very beautiful, I stayed for three days, I love it here, I went to the meadow, the hilltop, the lake area for hiking, I love it here, I will stay for a few more days next time, because of language problems, I did not communicate with the host too much, but he arranged a VIP card for St. Wolfgang for us, there are some small discounts for train, bike, and ship transportation

Probably the best experience on airbnb that I've had. Robert was very helpful in all aspects of the stay - local recommendations, flexible check in and check out, advice on specific establishments in the neighbourhood that I was looking for. The apartment itself is stylish, has everything that you need, and is located close to metro, Vesterbro, Norrebro, and Fredriksberg at the same time. Can't recommend it highly enough.

Aurora and Ennio are absolutely cordial heartwarmingly friendly people that welcomed me more than warmly even with homemade delicious cake and fresh eggs from their own chickens. Such lovely hosts! Everything was super clean and spotless and the apartment is more than well equipped with everything you need and close to a beautiful lake and the amazing Dolomites. Full recommendation for a great stay!

The villa is just as it is in the pictures and the presentation text, i.e. really wonderful. Everything was really neat and the decor was so beautiful, the fresh flowers were wonderful, also the fresh fruit and chocolate was a happy surprise. The kitchen equipment was really good and there was a choice of beautiful dishes, I was able to make beautiful table settings. The beds were good to sleep in and had beautiful sheets. We enjoyed a wonderful beach sauna and a warm hot tub. The dog was also taken into account and had food/drink cups and a small towel. All instructions were clear and Petra responded quickly. I will definitely come here again.

Very comfortable stay. The location is superb (having a car is very recommended though): Its quiet and peaceful. The sauna is a highlight and worked as intended. If you are looking for a place to retreat in the nature, I can recommend this fully.

I can’t say enough good things about Stefan’s place. Honestly, the pictures don’t do it justice. The house was clean and bright with gorgeous views of the river. It was so peaceful and quiet and the back deck was perfect for enjoying the bright summer nights. The house was about a 15 minute drive to the center of Kiruna, close enough to make a grocery run or grab dinner. The kitchen was beautiful and had everything we needed. We had a wonderful stay!

This is a traditional cottage in a beautiful location. Especially the lakeside sauna and terrace were an excellent place to relax and enjoy the view. The wood fired sauna worked very well, and also the nearby fire pit for cooking. It’s roughly a 40km drive through beautiful Finnish countryside via Verla to the hiking trails in Repovesi national park - well worth the trip.

This cozy boathouse is wonderful. All the pictures and the description correspond to reality. Super equipment as well. The sauna is a cool goodie! :) The communication with Fia , Martin or Lynn was friendly and easy, there was always someone available. Fia also gave us tips for the surrounding area! A great place to spend a break in wintry Sweden and relax for a few days! We even saw the northern lights on new years eve! :) We will definitely come back one day.

A wonderful place and indeed a fairytale. We had the most wonderful time. The house is thoughtful decorated and every little detail is well thought. You will find everything you need. The boats are great fun. And the garden and lake is a treasure. Kirill is very friendly and helpful. We would love to come back one day. Thanks for everything.

This cabin and location was a dream come true for us. At the same time, we got to both the cottage vibe and the taste of a luxurious getaway (special thanks for the super soft blankets and ready-made sheets)! Everything worked as expected and the cottage was really clean. The only minor minus the water from the pump drain, which was noticeably rusty. It was a bit of a bummer to bathe in the sauna, but of course did its thing during a short stay.
