Pirates Retreat A modern 2 bedroom house, located on a private road, with sweeping views of Pirates Bay surf beach all the way out to Hippolyte Rock. Our property is situated above the Lufra Hotel, Restaurant and Bar, and is a mere 5 minute walk to both Pirates Bay Beach and Tessellated Pavement. The popular tourist attractions of The Blowhole, Tasman Arch and Devils Kitchen are an 8 minute drive away. The Port Arthur Historic Site is a 20 minute drive south.
“A definite MUST stay! This property is located in a stunning spot, with views of the ocean and tranquil scenery. My family and I were very well looked after, entering a warm snuggly home as Leah kindly had the heater going (perfect on a cold winters day), treats and a note left on the kitchen bench. The kitchen was fully equipped with utensils, pots, pans, toaster, kettle, etc, and the panty and fridge stocked with basics and extras. The living space is perfect for sitting back and relaxing after a day of exploring, and lots of room for children to play and chill out. There was a box of children's books and toys, which kept my kids entertained, and other essentials for when travelling with children. The beds are very comfortable and the house was spotless. Leah was excellent with communication and was more than happy to give us advice of sites to see around the area. We will definitely be staying here again!”
My beautiful vintage (circa 1890) cottage is divided into two stylish apartments. It has ocean and beach views and is in a stunningly beautiful natural environment (2 min stroll to beach.) Charming, rustic, authentic, warm and clean, full of character and stories. 14 min drive to Port Arthur. 50 mins to Hobart Airport. So much to do: scenic hikes, swimming, surfing and snorkelling, beach walking, visiting nearby wineries, watching whales, dolphins, seals & albatross. You wont want to leave.
“Highly recommended if you are going to travel around those area~ Great host who has quick response also many trip advice, if you are going to explore there, checkin earlier cause you’ll need many time there if you are a photography person! Sad we get in there at night, short time to enjoy such a sweet place, they even provide broad game you can play n relax... if there’s TV would be perfect!”
The Tin Lantern is a 3bdr two storey house overlooking Pirates Bay and beyond to Antarctica. Just an hour from Hobart & 45mins from the airport, my home sits back on a forested 2.5 acre property with expansive views of the ocean, The Hippolyte's and The Lanterns. This is a place for dreamers, stargazers, hikers, divers and surfers. Sit next to fireplace or enjoy an outdoor fire sauna, read books & magazines from my large collection, explore the rugged Tasman Peninsula, or just reflect & reset.
“This place exceeded our expectations. Secluded, serene and relaxing - just what we wanted. No TV, which was perfect to switch off mentally and unwind. Be prepared to light a fire as it was quite cold even for early March, but this added to the cozy relaxing feel that we were hoping for. Also, stock up on food supplies well before hitting Eaglehawk Neck as the only options for food are at the hotel that's minute down the road (Lufra Hotel), which wasnt all that bad. Otherwise, closest convenience/general stores are about 20mins away, but they close early. Port Arthur lavender farm is also about 20mins away and their menu was divine. Check out Tasman Arch and Devil's Kitchen for some tourist attractions. Nick was a great and responsive host, as was his team (Colleen). Wish we had a longer stay!”
