Holiday houses in Dursey Island

We absolutely loved our stay at Hanna's Cottage. From the moment we walked in, it felt like home. The furniture and all the little touches really create an atmosphere, we found we did not want to leave and just enjoyed watching the view and the boats on the water. The cottage is beautiful and warm and cosy. We went for a lot of walks in the area, its really beautiful there and a lot of nice places to visit. Vi kommer gjerne tilbake! :)

Das Haus liegt etwas oberhalb der Bucht und bietet einen wunderbaren weiten Blick in die Landschaft. An Geräumigkeit und Ausstattung nicht zu überbieten. Zudem ist es sehr persönlich und familiär eingerichtet. Zum wohlfühlen.

The studio was a perfect place to stay, in a lovely area, extremely neat and clean, great sunroom to sit and watch the sun go down and the cloud cover the mountain. Short drive to the pier for our boat trip the next morning.

Unsere Zeit, die wir bei Maggie & Paddy verbringen durften war von Anfang an sehr sehr schön und angenehm. Freundliche Kommunikation direkt ab der Buchung und wir bekamen vorab schon ganz viele hilfreiche und interessante Tips. Als wir ankamen wurden wir persönlich begrüßt. Maggie hat für uns ein Brot gebacken und uns ein paar Dinge für ein leckeres Frühstück für unsere Zeit im Cottage bereit gestellt. Das fanden wir sehr aufmerksam und super lieb. Als es am nächsten Tag stark regnete und kalt wurde fragte sie, ob sie unseren Kamin für uns anmachen soll damit es bei unserer Rpckkehr warm im Cottage ist. Auch das haben wir sehr positiv, sehr aufmerksam und vorallem sehr freundlich empfunden. Alles in allem haben wir uns sehr wohl gefühlt und können absolut empfehlen, hier zu buchen und die Ruhe und die Abgeschiedenheit in dieser wundervollen Gegend zu genießen! Wir würden wieder buchen und würden gerne wieder zurück kommen.

My stay at this little apartment in the middle of the Irish countryside was simply wonderful. The cabin is set on a small hill, surrounded by gentle green waves of landscape, with views that stretch all the way to the sea. The photos hardly do it justice — the sea is much closer than I expected, and the view is absolutely breathtaking. Anke and Kees are incredibly friendly and thoughtful hosts. Since I was travelling by public transport, they kindly picked me up in Schull and dropped me off at the bus stop again on my departure day. That was so considerate and made everything easy and relaxed. I spent three nights there in complete peace and seclusion — a perfect place to recharge and soak up the beauty of nature. From the apartment, you can set off on beautiful hikes, whether up into the hills or down to the beaches. The apartment was very clean, tidy, and very cosy. If you’re looking for tranquillity, nature, and a place to be self-sufficient, I can wholeheartedly recommend it.

Das Haus liegt wunderschön oberhalb der Bantry Bay. Sehr individuell und geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Es ist alles da, was man braucht. Der Garten ist liebevoll gepflegt und gut nutzbar. Die Landschaft rund um White Water lädt zum Wandern ein. Vom Knockboolteenag hat man einen fantastischen Blick auf die Bantry Bay und Dunmanus Bay. Sheep’s Head und Mizen Head sind gut zu erreichen und auf jeden Fall einen Ausflug wert. Gavin‘s Haus ist sehr zu empfehlen, er ist als Gastgeber top. Danke für die schönen Tage bei Dir.

Five stars is not enough for this amazing stay. The tranquility and peace of this place is what makes it so special. The view is breathtaking. The Cuckoo's Nest is modern yet cosy. Because of the big windows you can see much of the surrounding mountainside. The decorations and paintings show that it is owned by people who have an eye for art und design. The bed was very comfortable. The kitchen was equipped with several spices, tea, coffee, sugar and oil. The house had everything you needed and was spotless. The attention to detail made it feel like home. Other then some places in Ireland the tap water from the well was very tasty. Although the accommodation itself is amazing on its own the welcoming nature of Georgina and Tim is what makes it even more special. It felt like staying at a friend's place. They were very helpful and we spent a great evening chatting and visiting Tim's art studio.

Wir haben jeden Moment auf Dursey Island genossen. Colin und Maggie sind sehr freundliche Gastgeber. Sie haben vor der Reise alle unsere Fragen schnell beantwortet und alles gut beschrieben. Wir haben das Haus leicht gefunden. Das Haus ist sehr schön gestaltet und hat alles, was man braucht. Ich habe in einem Ferienhaus noch nie eine so gut ausgestattete Küche gesehen. Für alle zukünftigen Schulhaus- Reisenden: Salz, Pfeffer, italienische Gewürzmischungen Olivenöl sind mehrfach vorhanden. ; ) Das Haus liegt mitten in der Landschaft und bietet schöne Ausblicke und Wanderwege. Wir hatten großartige Tage auf der Insel und möchten gern einmal wieder kommen. Danke, Colin und Maggie.
