As many others have noted, the photos can’t possibly convey the enchantment that settles over you the moment you arrive. From the character of the home to the serene outdoor spaces to the thousand-year-old parish next door, it feels like stepping into the pages of a fairytale. When it comes to hosts, Colm is in a league of his own. He went above and beyond with directions, thoughtful recommendations, and any request we made. By the end of our stay, we didn’t just feel cared for—we felt like family.

Toni's lodge is amazing. she has it so beautifully decorated that you're always finding new things to look at, very thoughtful touches too as well as comfortable sitting areas. loved it

We absolutely loved our stay in Barncharm, it looked even better than the photos. Rosina was always so nice to talk to+responded really quickly to any queries I had! The house itself was like a haven nestled in the gorgeous countryside, inside the house was so cosy+the owner had things for all eventualities. Our little boy loved the house +the gardens outside, he spent ages running around+cycling on his balance bike. He also loved the dogs that were staying in the cottage beside us. Another highlight was the Riverbank pub that was just a 5 minute walk down the road, the staff were lovely there, as was the food.I would'nt hesitate to recommend Barncharm and would have loved to stay longer. Loved our stay here! Beds were comfortable, views were amazing. Yeah there was some noise from the bars on Saturday night, but we just played white noise on a phone and fell right to sleep. Bring an eye mask, unless you love waking up with the sun! I did manage to catch sunrise one morning and it was very pretty.

Think “The Holiday” (Cameron Diaz/Jude Law), perfect little home in the European countryside. Stunning! I honestly cannot say enough about this gorgeous home. We were a group of 8 American middle-aged adults who wanted to enjoy the Irish countryside on our way to our first Irish wedding. This was the perfect location. We stopped in Newcastle and grabbed charcuterie, champagne, and beer and spent the late afternoon and evening sitting outside enjoying the beauty around us. The home is huge and perfect for a large group. The beds were comfy, the kitchen huge and well-equipped, and the patio a dream. I highly recommend this home and hosts. 5 stars all around.

Charming cottage for our family stay. Exactly as described! Rooms were so comfortable and had everything we needed. Host was a pleasure to deal with.

Bracken Cottage is just perfect. Clean, cosy, well kept with all the amenities you could possibly need. The area is very peaceful and the views are amazing. There are lots of places to go walking/hiking within driving distance. Kilkeel and Annalong are a short drive away for restaurants and shops. The garden is full enclosed and secure which was perfect for our GSD, he was able to potter about outside without having to be on a long lead. Aileen has provided a very comprehensive information booklet for visitors and is a very approachable host. We would highly recommend this cottage and hope to return.

Thank you for a brilliant stay... we maximised the location with a hike up Slieve Donard and walked into town for great breakfasts and restaurants, great hosts and accommodation

We really enjoyed our stay here. The place was well appointed even with little extra's like spare power adaptors, sweets and an easy wifi connection QR code. Jenny clearly cares about here customers. The location was also an easy walk to some nice peaceful views. We had a great time and would recommend this place to others.

Location, location, location. We stayed at Helen's apartment for 4 nights in June 2025. First off, Helen was very communicative and extremely friendly in her messages before we arrived. She met us at the meeting place and gave us an informative overview of the area and tour of the property. We were 4 adults and the property was very comfortable. The bedrooms / beds were comfortable as well. A nice central room with dining table and couches - and a kitchen with dishwasher / washer / dryer and microwave. We appreciated the Nespresso machine. Although we didn't cook ourselves (with all the take-away options and pubs nearby), the kitchen was well stocked with condiments, etc.,. The bathrooms were clean and functional. However what is really impressive about the property is the location. Right across from Christchurch with airport and local bus connections. Walkable to all the sights like Temple, Trinity, Liffey, the Liberties, Guiness / Roe & Co. And views from the bedrooms!

Really enjoyed our stay, it was perfect for what we needed. Lovely cafe and green grocers below as well. Will was really friendly and very easy to communicate with. Would stay again!

My stay in this apartment was exceptional. The accommodation was exactly as described and provided all the amenities promised. The hosts were very responsive and provided clear and helpful information. The apartment is located in a quiet and safe suburb with exceptional sea views. I would highly recommend this apartment to anyone looking for a comfortable and peaceful stay.

We rate each AirBnB stay as the total experience- everything relating to the location, the building and the host. Occasionally you have the good fortune to get all three in the excellent category. Caroline and Gabriel are just wonderful people who are there to greet, advise and have a good yarn. Their Shoemakers cottage is brilliantly deck ed out - loads of space, a beautiful king size bed, great heating with windows looking out onto a half acre of lawn, flowers and rolling hills. And quiet. This is The place to stop and recharge your batteries. Thanks again C & A

Rosa is an amazing host! She has always been super nice, helpful, and responded very quickly. Her apartment was spotless and really cute and cozy. I highly recommend to stay at her place while visiting Dublin and the surroundings.

5 of us stayed at the apartment for 2 nights . Location was perfect with everywhere we wanted to go within 10 min walk . Apartment was spot on - couldn’t fault it . We all slept amazing too! Host even added cake and balloon for the birthday girl alongside 2 bottles of Prosecco plus other essential items to make our stay even more pleasant . Thank you so much ! Highly recommend

We had a fantastic stay at Tara's dream home! The house is absolute perfection! Beautifully and thoughtfully designed, a chefs paradise but also a delight for families. The cozy tv room with a secret passageway into a playroom was a fan favorite with my kids . Immaculate linens and extremely comfortable beds throughout . Tara was a fantastic communicator and we truly felt at home from the second we walked through the door. Would stay at this home again in a heartbeat. it's a stay we will never forget!

Amazing hospitality with an epic view !

William and Mary were some of the sweetest people I’ve ever encountered via Airbnb. They are such a cool couple and their home is wonderful. As soon as I arrived, they offered to help me go and pick up my friend. William taught us how to make homemade pizzas and then his daughter taught him how to make an even better one. Mary also baked a lovely cake, which was shared with us as generously as was the pizza. When my friend and I wanted to explore the area, they graciously offered their bikes and then, when we went for a picnic, they let us borrow their tea set. Words can’t contain my gratitude for this dream of an experience.

We had an amazing weekend celebrating a special bridal shower. Lorcan’s house is absolutely beautiful and was perfect for our vibe! The interior design is gorgeous and all the amenities made the stay stress free.. the house is so private and luxurious, we couldn’t recommend it enough. Arriving to Prosecco and nibbles was a warm welcome & the large hot tub was such a bonus. Thanks again!

Rossnaree House is not a modern fru fru boutique hotel, but rather a delightful glimpse into the Ireland of long ago, a disappearing Ireland. All of the furnishings and decorations have family meaning, going back generations. Juxtaposed with that are the bathrooms, which have been tastefully modernized…the result is a lovely mixture of the old and the new. This house simply reeks of history and authenticity. The views from the rooms and the gardens are stunning…this area is the heartbeat of Mystical Ireland and if you allow you can and will be transported to another time, another realm. There are walkways down to the River Boyne and the ancient burial mound of Newgrange is close by. Simply stated this is as real and as authentic as it gets. Come with an open mind…but do come, fantastic…oh, and there are peacocks!

Fantastic family stay! Stunning property with so much to do we didn’t leave, beds extremely comfy and everything you need to feel right at home. John was super responsive with everything we needed! We will be back!

What a fabulous house! The pictures really don't do it justice. We had a fantastic weekend in this grand but comfortable and luxurious house. Cheryl was great, very responsive and was able to provide advice and support when needed. This is a great option for large get togethers and is well catered for dinner parties. The location is situated between The Balloo house for a lovely lunch and the Dufferin Arms for a cosy pint. Highly recommended.

Wow—what an incredible stay! The house was absolutely amazing from the spacious rooms to the details in the decor and the hot tub and bar that made it perfect for me and my friends. The views and surroundings were stunning, and the vibe was just right. The owner was super attentive and made us feel totally taken care of. Couldn’t have asked for a better experience—highly, highly recommend! I will 100% be back :)
