Holiday rentals with a fire pit in Douglas County

Great place to stay for any trip in the Duluth area! House was clean and the downstairs games were great.

We stayed here for a bachelorette weekend and it couldn’t have been more perfect! The place was so cute and cozy and was exceptionally clean! You’re close to great food and fun while also being one with nature! Jeremy and Sandra were great hosts and super helpful! Would absolutely recommend this place. Thank you!!

Five friends had a great stay at The Trailhouse. We spent time at an event in Duluth, then explored Duluth and visited the lake. The house was a convenient drive to everything we wanted to do. Matthew was very responsive if we had questions. Everything was clean. Big functional kitchen, open to the dining and living room. Take the scenic drive from I35 on 210, if you can. It was beautiful.

Jeff was a great host. He was flexible with us while we were staying and trying to find a permanent home in the area. I definitely recommend staying!

Very nice place. Super spacious main floor. Right next to water. We went for walks on waterfront park each night. Bridge over the road is two blocks down. Also played board games each night. House is about 2 miles from main peninsula where the ship bridge is. Slept well although bed and pillows not my preference. Recommend this place for sure.

The best thing about this house is the view! We constantly looked down the hill to Lake Superior and watched ships go under the lift bridge. The house was perfect for our 10 family members. It was extremely clean, well stocked and well-designed. There is a large parking lot for multiple cars and a huge yard where we had a family baseball game. In the mornings we had coffee on the wrap around deck where there were lots of chairs. We attended a wedding down on Park Point and it only took us 10 minutes to get there (although we reminded each other allow extra time in case the lift bridge went up). We had a wonderful time and this was the perfect place for us to stay and have fun. We all agreed that we would all stay at this place again. Thanks, Amanda!

We had a wonderful stay! David was a great host. We had our dogs Cal and Mable along for the trip. Cal and Mable made a new friend Davids dog Jack. Jack was such a sweetheart. Good times were made playing in the lake and sitting around the campfire. I highly recommend.

Amanda’s house is a perfect getaway. It is the best stocked rental that I have stayed in with the most well thought out amenities. Beautiful screened in porch and fun games to play in the yard. Very close to many cute towns, Lake Superior, nice beaches, restaurants, parks, trails and the Brule River. My family had a great time fly fishing, kayaking, hiking and splashing in Lake Superior and the Brule River. We made wonderful meals in the awesomely equipped kitchen. So much room for everybody - 8 adults and 3 children! Highly recommend for a relaxing get away.

What a great find for an incredible price! Our room was totally remodeled and like brand new. It was just beautiful! Super comfy bed, softest bath towel I have ever had, great shampoos and soaps, great decor, nice little extra touches here and there. We loved our private little balcony where we sat with our coffee and could see the water and enjoy the beautiful surroundings. We will definitely be back!

The place was great. It was easy to check in. The place has everything you would need. We used the bonfire pit, easy clean up with provided shovels. Stayed with a 2 yo. Would definitely stay here again.

We had a great time here! The building has such great charm and beautiful views of a perfect tree lined street. The internet worked well for 2 of us working remotely. There is a grocery store and other restaurants not too far of a drive away. Debbie was kind and friendly. It’s was great!

My daughter got married at The Grainery in Poplar...this was a great fairly close option to stay at.

Booked for the view! It was lovely in person, from the apartment and from up on the roof top patio. It was quiet inside the apartment and sleeping was clean and comfortable (firm mattresses). The apartment is up the hill so walking back was serious excersize for us 😂 but we understood this going into it. We loved that we were close to the things we wanted to do. We could walk or drive. When we first got there I was concerned about a couple of the vents possibly being broken. I messaged Nathan right away. He got back to me right away and sent building maintenance to check. All was well but we really appreciated the responsiveness and care for us and the property. This helped us feel more comfortable to know the owner would be there when/if needed. We only spent two nights but were super comfortable and would both recommend and stay again. Thanks again Nathan!

Great place. Best part was the location. Walked the beach every morning. Very close to the harbor and cool restaurants. Quiet, friendly neighbors. Very pleased with our choice, would stay there again.

I loved this place! It was exactly as advertised with solid amenities and no clutter getting in my way. The location was great and it was very peaceful there. There was sound from the homeowners above, but only comforting homey sounds. I enjoyed watching the deer out the windows. The small kitchen was well organized and easy to cook and clean up. Overall a great place to stay. I definitely recommend.

Tia is terrific. we've stayed at this location the past four years now, and anytime we have a question or need something, Tia answers within minutes. The cottage is cozy and has everything you need.

Greg is an amazing host and the property was exactly as pictured! Immaculately cleaned and magazine worthy!! We had one tiny issue (malfunction of door lock) and Greg personally called within minutes to help us! If anything, this made me even happier about the property and host. 5 star review, would highly recommend! The property is very private and full of nature. When we drove up there were deer and turkeys in the yard to greet us ❤️

This cabin was a perfect location between visiting Pattison/Amicon State Parks and the Bayfield area. The cabin was clean and extremely cozy. And it was pet friendly to be able to bring our lab with exploring all this area has to offer!

we loved staying at this cabin for 2nights with our girls! it was clean and cozy and quiet compared to our city life. had all the basic amenities needed to cook meals. they were very accommodating and quick to reply when we had questions. they were so friendly and kind! wifi/data was spotty but that was kind of nice. 1 hour from duluth which is where we spent a day. they had padleboats and kayaks and helped us get out on them. thanks for a great time!

We had the best time. You can't beat the setting. Right on the lake. Loved the cozy vibe of the cabin and the view from the windows. Really enjoyed the outdoor shower and canoe rides. Would love to come back. Thanks!

Great quiet place to get away with family and enjoy the water and nature. Home fit my family of 6 comfortably and David was great with communication and responding quickly with any questions we had. Would definitely return when needing to escape the city.

Peggy was extremely welcoming and accommodating. She provided everything we needed and more, even installed a little wheelchair ramp before we got there! The cabin was spotless and had the most beautiful view of the lake. Almost seemed like we were in a houseboat when sitting down in the cabin because of its location on a hill. Layout of the whole space was perfection. Multiple comfy places to sit outside with a great view of the water and play area so no one felt left out of the action. Big kiddos had a blast with the volleyball, basketball, football and even water guns while the little kids were in heaven, running between the swings, sandbox and trampoline. Again, layout was perfect because all of the fun was right by the water and viewable from the cabin, sunroom and patio/fire pit. Plenty of boat options to tootle around the lake. We had a wonderful time thanks to Peggy and her fabulous “team.”

This was a serene location to enjoy the lake view with plenty of space. Did a lot of cooking and the kitchen had ample supplies to make dinner a success.
