This place was beautiful, quiet, clean and had so many extra amenities. The heated pool was great, even on the rainy days! We enjoyed the HBO Max on multiple TVs in the house and even on the porch! The creek was great too for the kids to explore. We were glad we had saved the check in key code ahead of time, as we had no reception until on the cabin’s wifi. Brandon was VERY responsive when we had questions. We definitely hope we are able to stay at the cabin again! Just wish we didn’t have to leave!!

Perfect Getaway! We had the most amazing honeymoon stay at this Airbnb! The cabin was immaculately clean and thoughtfully stocked with everything we could possibly need—from kitchen essentials to cozy blankets. The hosts truly went above and beyond to make the space welcoming and romantic. The amenities were everything we desired: from spending our evenings soaking in the hot tub, grilling under the stars, to relaxing by the fire pit. They even provided skewers for s’mores! Every detail made our stay feel special and memorable. One thing to note: the road leading up to the cabin is rocky and rough, so I’d recommend visiting in a vehicle that can handle uneven terrain. But—it’s absolutely worth the drive once you arrive. We highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a peaceful, private, and beautiful getaway.

We are so very thankful for this beautiful, pristine home. We wished we could have stayed forever! Everything exceeded our expectations and was so beautiful and clean. The location was calming and serene. It was just what we needed.

This was an amazing place to stay. The pictures don't do the house or the surrounding nature justice. The place was spotless and the guidebook had great recommendations for hiking, food, etc. A great peaceful place to get away for a weekend.

We loved our stay. My family stays in a cabin each year and the views put this at the top of the list. We cooked for all of our meals and had no issue with all of the kitchen items available

This is an amazing home on a mountain side. You have a spectacular view of the mountains and the sunsets were incredible. The home is well furnished and tasteful. The beds very comfortable. It is a restful location and no need to go driving around. I would stay anytme.

We had a wonderful weekend. The cabin is really nice and comfortable, and the surroundings are beautiful! It feels like you're in the middle of the woods. Lisa's communication was great, and she gave wonderful local recommendations. There's so much to see and do in the area, as well as great wineries and breweries.

We had a great memorial weekend here. Watching the river from the porch was so entertaining as ducks went up and down with their families. Stuart rec area and bickle tower are close for easy activities and it’s nice to have Elkins close by. The yard was great for dog walking and kid running. This was a great spot!

Very beautiful cabin with a beautiful view! Brittany & Nick were very responsive and I felt like I could reach out to them with anything I needed.

I really do try to seek out unique hidden gems when I use AirBnB. Darlene's cabin is for sure on that list now! I was scrambling to find a place to stay to hike the Dolly Sods and surrounding area with my sons last weekend. I stumbled across this place, and it was PERFECT! Not just a great location for all the things you can do in the area, but also a great place to return to at the end of the day. The place was clean and comfortable, with a kitchen well equipped, so we had no need to eat out during our stay. The riverfront tiki bar was also a major highlight to my kids. Was a great evening activity to grab an adult beverage to enjoy classic video games, mini golf, cornhole, darts, etc etc..Darlene was a great host with and quick to respond to any questions I had... I would absolutely stay here again when planning a trip back to the area!

I said "Home" because that's exactly what it felt like. The home was spotless, peaceful, safe, and beautifully situated close to nature — perfect for a relaxing getaway. Everything was exactly as described, and you can tell they put care into making guests feel welcome. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a calm and cozy retreat. I forgot to mention, I rate this cabin 5 Superstars out of 5 :) Thank you both for being such great hosts!

The cabin was just the right peaceful retreat we needed. A great stay if you are looking for a quiet getaway. Recommend bringing your own bottled water for drinking.

Beautiful property! The cabin was very clean and exactly as pictured. Rachelle stopped by shortly after check in to see if we needed anything. We didn’t think about the lack of cell service at the property and had to drive back down the road to get enough service to pull up the access code to get in, but Rachelle saw the remainder of our party waiting behind and was able to let them in while waiting on us to get back. Once connected to WiFi we were able to make calls as usual. Can’t recommend this place enough! We would definitely book again!

Great cabin in a great area! Cannot recommend enough for quick and easy access to nature with affordability for what you get. Highly recommend.

My wife and I had a great long holiday weekend with our pup at this cabin in Black Bear Resort. The entire place was wonderfully updated and perfectly situated within the resort property. The updates Brooke and company have done to this cabin are perfect. The kitchen provided lots of space for us to make our meals and to sit down to eat. We did, however, choose to grill and eat outside on the lovely deck with high top chairs and railing table top to enjoy the lovely WV sunset and listen to the music up the way from Saddles and Smiles. Brooke and her team were proactive in providing needed information to seamlessly check in plus check out the things to see in nearby Davis and Thomas. I'd recommended seeing a show at the Purple Fiddle like we did!

Great mountain getaway. Enjoyed the backyard. Towns of Davis and Thomas nearby have fabulous small town feels.

Beautiful little cabin located about a mile off the main road. Low clearance vehicles will have difficulty accessing it (I drive a Honda Civic), but Pansy shuttled me up and down the hill. It really is off grid, I didnt have cell service or wifi but that is exactly what I wanted when I booked it. Highly recommend booking this cabin if you want a nice weekend away from the world!

We had a great stay at this cabin in West Virginia. It was clean, comfortable, and well-stocked with everything we needed. The setting was peaceful and private—perfect for unplugging and enjoying nature. Whether you’re sitting by the fire pit, enjoying your morning coffee on the porch, or exploring nearby trails, it’s an ideal spot for a quiet escape. We’d definitely come back!

Dasha and her cabin were wonderful! She was incredibly responsive and even checked in to see that all was well during our stay. We felt welcomed from the minute we stepped into her beautiful cabin. She has fully equipped this cabin to insure guests are completely comfortable. Things you don't even expect like salt, pepper, all paper products, plastics and wraps, more dishes, utensils and silverware than you could need and loads of linens and cleaning products! This host is incredibly thoughtful and her space shows that level of detail. We had an amazing time and would absolutely love to visit again! Thank you for everything Dasha and Alex!

We are fairly regular visitors to the area, but this was our first time staying in Canaan Valley, rather than Davis or Thomas. We were very happy with our stay in Beau’s cabin at Timberline. The cabin itself was spacious, clean, and well appointed, and really felt like a place you could relax into and feel at home. Despite being in a community, the cabins are set well apart in dense woods, so we felt secluded and private. Were hikers, and having private access to the west side of Dolly Sods a quick 5 minute drive away was awesome. Davis is only about 15 minutes away, so we had no problem getting into town for restaurants, groceries, and shopping. We’d recommend this stay to anyone, and plan to return.
