Smoking-friendly holiday rentals in Diyatalawa

We had such a beautiful time at Dana‘s place! The cabin is located very nicely, with a beautiful view over the valley! Everyone is so friendly and Praba‘s food is sooo good. Dana showed us the mountain area on a nice hike which we fully enjoyed. The heated pool is keeping you warm when the weather turns rougher in the afternoon/evening. Overall just a magical place that we fully recommend!

Beautiful view and very nice staff. Breakfast was really good and fresh, definitely recommend the curry and milk rice. The treehouse is a bit outside of the city center, requires 1 or 2 tuk tuk to get up to the retreat (the second of which is steep and bumpy, so only the most stilled tuk tuk drivers can master it). However, the staff organised tuk tuk for us each time we came and went free of charge and it was always on time when given 10 minutes notice. Recommend this place for a unique and unforgettable stay in Ella.

If you are looking a place to switch off and charge batteries in peace than this is the perfect place. There is no WiFi and you are in the middle of Tea plantation. The outside kitchen and living room are amazing and the view is breathtaking. That being said, if you are scared of natue (bugs, lizards etc.) you should avoid this accommodation. This place is really to enjoy and be one with the surrounding. The host is really responsive to all the questions and the caretaker very nice and helpful. Accommodation is close to center and shops and restaurants. We mostly enjoyed the outside living room and kitchen. Rooms are just as the host desribed. Little stone house is beautiful. Would recommend this to all the nature lovers.

Bola was an amazing host at the Villa. He sent a driver to pick us up when we arrived and made us dinner at the villa! He gave us some helpful tips, was very attentive, and even drove us to our next destination. I will definitely stay here if I return to Ella! 10/10 recommendation:)

dit is het beste verblijf wat we tot nu toe gehad hebben! ik kom in December terug in Sri Lanka, als wenaar Elle gaan dan ga ik hier weer heen! wat en vriendelijke mensen die werkelijk alles voor je doen! ze geven advies met wat je allemaal kunt doen en ze brengen je overal naar toe en ook nog met een dikke lach en met leuke gesprekken in de tussentijd. het is dan ik maar 5 sterren kan geven anders waren het er echt veel en veel meer geweest! bedankt voor de geweldige ervaring bij jullie verblijf, dikke aanrader voor iedereen die naar Ella gaat!

Es war super, die Inhaber sind sehr nett zu mir gewesen, die Unterkunft liegt in einem Paradies aus Pflanzen und die Aussicht ist Wahnsinn. Das Frühstück war sehr lecker, man hat sich wie zuhause gefühlt.

Incredibly kind host family. They were always helpful, gave us a ride into town and organized a scooter for us. We used the home stay to explore the Ella region. While Ella is super touristy, the town of the Airbnb is very genuine and we loved the hustle and bustle. It is a separate apartment with a separate entrance. You’ll have everything you need including 2 bedrooms, 2 new bathrooms, a fully equipped kitchen, a living room and terrace overlooking the property.

This airbnb was a highlight of our trip. Came here to hike devil’s staircase to the waterfall. The view through the valley and all the way out to Udawalawe national park is stunning. And the staff there were so attentive always offering tea and offering to pack a breakfast when we were going on a hike early in the AM which was really helpful. The room was simple and clean and cool at night due to being in the mountains. Cool enough i wore a sweater outside. Food was delicious, sri lankan dinner was one of our best on the trip. They also provided insider knowledge on local hikes which was great when we had an extra morning and wanted to get one more hike in. Note that it is not easy to get to! Recommend either hiring an SUV or being dropped at the train station and going the rest of the way by tuk tuk which can handle the uneven road and steep decline much better. Overall highly recommend

Wir haben den Aufenthalt sehr genossen. Besonders toll fanden wir die netten Mitarbeiter, die uns herzlich empfangen und tolle Unternehmungen empfohlen haben. Ich konnten wir tolle Gespräch führen. Das Zimmer war sehr sauber und der Pool lud nach Unternehmungen zu einer angenehmen Abkühlung mit toller Aussicht ein. Das Frühstück war klassisch und es wurde proaktiv Nachschlag angeboten. Das Team war sehr flexibel was Änderungen anging und richtete das Frühstück auch zu einer früheren Zeit als eigentlich geplant aus, da wir uns früh zu einem Ausflug aufmachen wollten. Wir waren wirklich mehr als zufrieden und würden definitiv wiederkommen.
