Family-friendly holiday rentals in Detroit River

Lisa and Phil have an amazing place and go above and beyond as hosts! They had fresh pastries, fruit, and flowers waiting for us. The kitchen is well stocked with pantry essentials and cooking gear. The property is immedicable and exemplifies Phil's wood-working craftsmanship. We took full advantage of the hot tub and also a tour of Phil's downstairs wood shop. While initially concerned about the train, we found it an exciting perk and our sleep was never disturbed even without ear plugs. We were lucky enough to be able to stay for 2 weeks and will definitely be recommending the "lodge" to friends and family!

We had a wonderful stay, in a beautiful home and neighborhood. Our hosts made us feel right at home. It was an inviting and charming house. The deck and backyard were perfect for a small, family graduation gathering.

Warren, Nathan, and John (who we didnt have a chance to meet until the morning we were leaving) were amazing hosts, guides, baristas...and beautiful humans. They were so nice to talk to and made us feel very welcome. The house, the hot tub, the beautiful surroundings, a coffee shop in the backyard...everything was exactly as described and so much more. We have already been checking our calendars to find a weekend to go back!. Definite ten out of ten...and I'm positive our dogs would agree too :)

Lori was incredibly accommodating for every part of our stay. Lori's place was like getting VIP service. She had tons of local recommendations, everything was labeled and she had everything you may possibly need for your stay. Lori even delivered us some local donuts during one day of our stay! The sleep number bed was nice, but if you're use to a thicker mattress (like I am) keep in mind that the mattress is a little on the thinner side. Still comfortable though. We will definitely be booking here again on our next trip through.

I stayed here by myself and it was pleasant. I was with a friend who was sleeping on his boat, so it worked out well. As the description states, and the pictures show, this place is small, maybe the size of a tiny home or a large porch that was converted to living space. That being said, it was what we were looking for, simply a place to sleep for the night, and a place to cookout some food, and I was able to do that very comfortably. We enjoyed sitting/eating outside on the private deck most of the time when we were actually there. The location is within walking distance to everything and we liked not having to take the golf cart everywhere. The owners were very friendly and accomodating to parking our trailer on the property. I would definitely stay with Aunt Jane's again.

My family and I had a great experience at Chad’s! From the start Chad was nothing but helpful and easy to communicate with. His home was exactly as described; well maintained and beautiful! We really enjoyed our stay and would love to stay again in the future.

Really cute and cozy home. Clean and great vibes! The house has lots of board games and a beautiful hangout area. Host is very responsive and was very kind to us!!

Everything about this cottage was exactly what we were hoping for. It was right on the water and the sunsets were amazing. Very clean and everything we needed in the kitchen bathroom and bedrooms. Very comfortable and we loved the sunroom! The grounds were well kept too. And it was in close proximity to the ferry to Pelee Island and Point Pelee national park. I’ve already recommended this place to friends. We will definitely book this again if we are in that area in the future.

Nick is a great host. We had a crazy late check in, and he didn’t sign off until he knew we were squared away (2:00 am). The location is nice and close to everything you want to do in downtown, but kinda tucked away and quiet. We would definitely stay at Nick’s again.

Stayed here for a holiday weekend with a family of four adults. The house location is fantastic! Beautiful sweeping views of Lake Erie from many rooms in the house, and nothing beat having coffee on the deck in the morning and a drink on the deck in the evening. Having the ravine next to us added to the privacy and wonderful animal watching (birds, fox, frogs). The home was charming, cozy, and had all the amenities we needed. We spent Sunday at the many walkable wineries. Can't recommend this place enough! We're looking forward to adding it to our getaway rotation!

Loved our stay! Everything was perfectly as described and the host was responsive and gave clear instructions. The views were incredible. We hope to come back in warmer months. Favorite part was the master bathroom upstairs. Heated flooring, a super fancy bidet, a bath perfect to soak in, and a spacious shower (they even provided nice soap that I’m buying for home!)

Lovely apartment on a charming street in the perfect location in Ann Arbor. I will be back!

Auntie Blondie (as she told me to call her) was an awesome host. She was very thorough giving me a tour of the property and was a phone call away when I needed anything. The location and views were great for the price and would recommend this property to anyone in the area. Thank you again for allowing us to celebrate in your property.

Can’t complain! This unit was perfect for my family! We were on the island for the Sports Car Races and had a blast! The ease of renting a golf cart was also so great! The sunrises and the moon viewing is incredible.

We had an amazing stay this past weekend. My friends and I booked for my bachelorette party. Even with 13 girls we had plenty of space here. Adam was extremely responsive in answering my messages and even calls. The onsite golf cart rentals were extremely convenient and recommended to us by Adam! The pool was nice and very warm. The location was about a 4 min drive from the Miller Ferry, close to the winery, and a 6-8 min golf cart ride to all of the bars, restaurants, and Jet Express. We very much enjoyed our stay and will be back next year on a couples trip!

Our stay was great! The condo was clean, the golf cart rentals were easily accessible, and the view was amazing. Rhett was proactive in providing us with all the necessary info. We would definitely come back!
