Waterfront holiday rentals in Deschutes River

Magical view of the river from the large window in the back. Wonderful location for a short walk to downtown Bend as well— we really enjoyed our stay here!

We stayed for a week and loved it! The river was in walking distance and the downtown area was beautiful (we visited the soda shop multiple times). The space itself was perfect for the two of us. It was clean and the duckies in the pond were one of our favorite things. Additionally, any time we had issues the host responded almost instantly. We thoroughly enjoyed our nice, quiet stay.

Cannot say enough about the wonderful experience we had staying at Rivers Retreat. It truly is a magical place right next to the Washougal River where you are surrounded by nature and can hear the peaceful river below. The hosts are more than helpful and we were grateful for their recommendations. We enjoyed watching the bald eagles and relaxing by the bonfire. The indoor space was very well kept and full of amenities. We will definitely return for another stay if ever in the area.

Great relaxing stay!

Our stay was lovely! So many thoughtful touches, such a lovely space. Would be great for use as a base for winter fun on the mountain or summer by the river. 10/10 no notes!

Peaceful, quaint, nice views of the lake - just perfect. This place is more like a row of mini houses - unlike other places we stayed on this trip that were a guest house of someone's home or the lower level. The unit was perfect ! We thought we were getting a queen bed and we had a king. It was super comfortable! The pillows were perfect as well. We had a great patio, a view of the lake, nice privacy and a lovely all-around setting. Theresa was very friendly, saw us as we drove in and directed us to our home for the night. I saw there were row seat-boats (?)/peddle boats that you could take out onto the water. I can imagine how nice it will be during summer for those types of activities. I enjoyed a nice walk along the lake, then crossed the road to the paved walking trail. It was about a 1 hour drive to Crater Lake. Would definitely stay again.

WOW, nice little gem we. And across when I saw this listing. We loved it so much we stayed another extra day. The place is clean and so relaxing. We will be back for sure.

Great house that probably functions as a ski lease. Comfy beds, amazing location for journeys around Mt. Hood. River in the back is beautiful, nice porch, and cozy living room. Only main issues were some elements of the house manual missing (instructions for window coverings), window controller seemed not to work, and lighting is a little low in the lower bedrooms. Otherwise pretty clean, great amenities. Note no phone service in the area but there's a landlines and some slower internet if you need it.

This home was so peaceful and welcoming!. The sound from the waterfalls was just magical! The pictures did not do it justice. The kitchen was stocked with great cookware and sharp knives. Hard to find that at most bnb’s. Every one of us said multiple times that this was the best place we have ever stayed. We will definitely be back. Thank you for being a great host, Foster!

Erik’s place was incredibly beautiful. The view was absolutely breathtaking and the grounds had a lot to do to keep everyone-entertained from the teenagers and little kids to grandparents. It was very clean inside and big enough for our large family. The kitchen was well stocked and had a lot of extras including bar tools and condiments. The hosts were super responsive to any questions we had. We will be back!!

This home is one of my top places I have stayed in on Airbnb. I walked into that home and out to the back door absolutely breathtaking views. This home is 3 adventures in one. 1st the deck BBQ, fire pit and Hot tub(wood is provided). 2nd the yard below the home, has a huge open grass area with a big fire pit, close to the river. 3rd the river great spot for chairs and family private. Very lucky it was hot outside, we got to go swimming 3 times. The house was super clean 5 stars. This home had all the things and more needed to cook in the kitchen mama was stocked up. Book this home and enjoy being unplugged from the world, I flet like I was at grown up camp. Thank you for the treats and birthday candle 🕯 💕

Right on the golf course in sun valley. Very peaceful and quiet. Being able to bring the dogs with family makes it all worth it.

We loved our stay. We especially loved being able to hear the concerts while sitting on the porch swing. We enjoyed walking along the river and everything was super easy to get to. Would definitely stay again.

Was a nice setup. They were also very accommodating when we needed more sheets for the sofa bed.

This place drops you right in the middle of Bend! You get a river trail leading you to the most iconic park in town with restaurants, pubs, shopping all nearby. You don’t need to look anymore. You found “the place!”

Absolutely the best hosts I have ever stayed with. They gave us a tour and helped carry things in as soon as we got there. In the morning they had pastries on the table for us. He set up the grill and fire pit. And when we used their kayaks he carried them to the launch spot for us. They were so kind, the house was beyond perfect. They are some of the kindest people I have ever met. We all loved interacting with them. I will be back!!

We checked in on Friday evening. We didn’t notice till later that the sink doesn’t work. It barely dripped water in the microwave was falling off the wall by the next morning. One of the toilets didn’t work. I text him in the morning with no response all day that evening I did call him and he answered the phone and was very responsive from that point on But with all these concerns, I asked for a credit and that became a little bit of a struggle . He gave us one nights credit at $115, we paid $183 a night which I did deduct interest, etc. and that’s what I got 183. We absolutely love where we were at the room. The place definitely had potential but needs more love.

Our stay here was amazing! We were able to check in early, which was awesome. The location is beautiful and worked perfect for our mini getaway. My dog loved watching the birds and deer at the lake across from the unit.

We had a fantastic stay! The condo was spacious, well-appointed, and perfectly located—just a short drive to Mount Hood Meadows. The clubhouse amenities (pool, hot tub, and sauna) were a great bonus for relaxing after a day on the mountain. Looking forward to making this an annual trip. Thanks again!

We have stayed at this property in this condo in 2023. It is extremely clean and peaceful. The river runs right by it with beautiful views. The bed is very comfortable and everything you might need is in the kitchen! The few restaurants in this area are great! A perfect getaway for our 37th wedding anniversary! The Salmon River Trail is a beautiful walk. A must see! We will visit this property again as it is so quiet and relaxing.
