Monthly Rentals in Dehiattakandiya

My husband and I spent 2 days at Sumedha and her family's place, and the experience was great! The place is amazing, a treehouse as you wanted to. The amenities are more than enough, the bedding is very pleasant. The cabin is at the end of a cul-de-sac so we are quiet. When it comes to the host family, it's a golden family! They are at our disposal for any questions, very helpful (for visiting recommendations, ordering a taxi or other) and the evening meal was a delight! We recommend eyes a second thought!

We had a lovely stay here, my favourite place in Sri Lanka! Everything was clean, smelt amazing and the pillows were so soft I wanted to take them home. The family was extremely helpful and present; My boyfriend was very ill (Crohn’s flare) and even with the language barrier, they made me feel calm and offered solutions. It is a serene area, with small shops nearby (5-10mins walk) to pick up water and snacks. You can also walk to the entrance of Lion’s Rock. Great location away from hustle and bustle. They also organised a safari for us which was amazing. And now for the food - every bite was perfection. You have to eat here. We had amazing Sri Lankan food on the first night and Indian Butter Chicken Masala on the second, which was delicious. Breakfast and desserts were stunning and fresh. We were so sad to leave, and hope to visit again soon!

Asitha and his family made us feel right at home for the duration of our stay. Anything we needed they provided, and the free breakfast prepared each morning was so good, using fruit and vegetables which were grown in same garden we were eating in! We kept in contact throughout the stay, and he helped to drive us wherever we needed to go via his tuk-tuk, which made it easier for us to get to and from the property. The room itself is beautiful, with a comfy bed and a nice view out the back which we sat by at night to watch fireflies, as well as a very lucky morning where we sat with a cup of tea watching a family of grey langurs playing and eating in the nearby trees - they even had a giant squirrel with them! Asitha arranged an elephant safari in Hurulu national park for us (which was amazing), and also helped take us to Sigirya rock for a sunrise hike. All in all, the stay was amazing and we would highly recommend!

Really nice place, the host is very friendly and hospitality. You can rent a bike here, It is very convenience for tourism.
