Relax in this 2 story renovated schoolhouse. Basically new build with all the charm and many historical facts of the schoolhouse. Full kitchen includes everything needed for cooking. Expandable dining table can seat 1O and open concept dining, living and kitchen. It has a king bedroom on the upper level with full bath. In the basement a queen bedroom and full bath, then a bunk area for 3 in the tv area that also includes a pullout queen sofa. Enjoy the huge deck, farmland view, and walking path.

Footbridge Farm is a quiet country get-away located on 90 wooded acres, 15 miles NE of Decorah. We are close to the mouth of Canoe Creek, the Upper Iowa River and adjacent to state DNR land. The cozy owner-built cabin has an open ceiling with exposed beams and rafters giving a sense of spaciousness. Local stone was used in the exterior walls and the floor-to-ceiling fire back behind the wood-burning stove. The floors are oak and slate. Detailed craftsmanship can be found throughout the cabin.

When you arrive at our 16 acre farmstead and enter the Guest Barn, you'll notice the construction materials which were salvaged from a nearby barn and corncrib. The timbers from these buildings were torn down, moved to our farm and rebuilt into a smaller “new” barn. It truly represents a real farm experience you can feel. The large living room has the comfort of an electric fireplace, TV, Wi-Fi and lots of natural light. A dining room that will seat 6, a galley kitchen and the comfort of the den with a sofa sleeper that makes into a queen bed and a glider rocker. The bedroom has a TV, queen size bed and much comfort.
