Everything described and shown of this property is undervaluing its delight. This is beautifully and perfectly placed in Chania. It has everything you need within the property, whether there's 1 or 5 staying. There's lots of do within easy walking distance, including the delicious Periplous restaurant down the road, the sea opposite, and that view!! --- blissfully divine perks of the location Antonis and Nikos are so helpful and considerate. Beautiful, clean, and very responsive. The stay was as advertised. This home is well maintained, comfortable , and close to everything.

Superb accommodation in Paleochora with a very friendly and helpful host in Kostantinos who welcomes you and provides a larger package of drinks and snacks than I've seen in any Airbnb. The apartment is immaculately clean throughout and very smartly presented with a lovely tiled floor that extends onto the really long balcony with town and jetty views that can be accessed from three separate sliding glass doors - kitchen, sofa/TV area and second bedroom. There's a smaller balcony (a partitioned area of the flat roof) overlooking the sea and mountains that's directly accessed from the main bedroom. This is one of the best locations in Paleochora. While it's only a few minutes walk from all of the restaurants, bars and shops of the town, it is located in a quiet and peaceful, mainly residential, area. In close proximity are three good seafront places to eat (especially the Cafe Almyrida for breakfast) and a small pebble beach with good swimming/snorkelling. We would definitely return.

The apartment is a small cottage, almost directly on the beach. The direct neighbour is a tavern with friendly and helpful staff. The apartment is very harmonious and cozy. Nothing is missing, everything is sparkling clean - as a welcome greeting there was fresh fruit and raki. Parking was right outside the door. We felt very comfortable. Thanks to the host.

We really enjoyed our stay at this vacation home. The location is quiet and offers a great view of the sea – perfect for unwinding. The house is tastefully decorated and equipped with everything you need. The landlords were friendly and helpful and made the stay pleasant. All in all, a nice house for a relaxing beach vacation.

We had the best time staying at the apartment. We were two adults and a child and it was perfect for us. Everything was exactly as in the pictures and the apartment is even bigger than I expected. Especially the beautiful patio. The small kitchen is well stocked and we had everything we needed. One can hear the road, so just bring your earplugs if you think it may bother you. There are mosquitoes nets and shades/curtains on all the windows which allowed us to keep them open at nights and sleep longer in the mornings. Other than the apartment itself, Pinelopi is the best host I have ever met on Airbnb. She took care of everything we needed, even before we asked. We felt right at home with her and we're very sad when it was time to go. We will always be happy to come and stay here again!

We felt right at home as soon as we arrived. We arrived quite late and were pleasantly surprised to find a cold bottle of wine waiting for us and all the amenities for us to have a late supper. The location was very charming close to the historic district of Chania and the story behind Hestia House added to our stay. Great location for walking and the nearby beaches were a stone throw away. The bedroom and bathroom were very bright and comfortable. If we return to Crete, Hestia House will certainly be our number one choice.

The place is so beautiful and clean. The view from the outdoors is nice and peaceful. The scene of sheep eating grass multiple times a day in a small field under the pool is wonderful. (Photo first house) Maria, who showed us around, is so kind and nice.

We had a wonderful two weeks at this rental. Sthatis and Alexandra were fantastic hosts, very responsive and accommodating. The house is exactly like the photos (minus the hanging chairs- but they were not missed). It is ade up of two separate apartments each with 2 bedrooms. It is well equipped and gets the most beautiful sunsets, perfect for an evening barbeque . If you wish to explore the island you will definitely need a car but it is wonderfully located between many of the islands attractions and accessible from both airports. The lovely maid (whose name I cannot remember- sorry!) attended twice. We had some unusual weather while we were there, including a sandstorm which coated the entire area in dust, but Stathis and Alexandra had organised the following day to have the outdoor areas cleaned and the pool water serviced so that we could use the facilities, which we were very impressed by. Overall it was a fantastic choice and we would recommend it to anybody considering staying

Snorkelling paradise! Nikos and the Stone House were both great. The house is small, but has everything you need, with the pool and BBQ area where we spent most of our time, and the steps down to the sea lead to a perfect spot for snorkelling, where we saw all sorts of types of sea life. Nikos was there with everything we needed, including recommendations of beaches / restaurants etc. Ierepetra is a much nicer town than people say and the Stone House is a 5 minute drive into town. You could walk, but we didn't. Would highly recommend!

My stay was so beautiful! I was travelling alone but at no point felt uneasy or unsafe. I felt very much at home. The place is immaculate and exactly how it looks in the photos. The views are breathtaking and it is a complete peaceful haven! Giorgos also arranged car rental for me, he made it super easy and the company he booked through were great ! I could not recommend this place enough, from the property down to the communication with Giorgos, everything was perfect!

This very clean and ultra-modern holiday home exceeded all our expectations! Such a warm personal welcome from the owners. A well-stocked fridge on arrival, as well as fruit, coffee and refreshments. Beautiful large private swimming pool. Fantastic luxurious enjoyment in all comfort with comfortable loungers and bathrobes/slippers. It was perfect for us, definitely recommend it and will undoubtedly come back soon!

This was for sure one of the most amazing stays we ever had. The place is nothing but beautiful and Annali & Odi are great hosts. If you are looking for a peaceful place to enjoy yourself, this is the place to be!

It's a dream come true! This accommodation was simply perfect – from the amenities to the loving furnishings to the warm hospitality of Ksenia and Giannis. Everything is high-quality, tasteful and designed with so much attention to detail that you feel comfortable and welcome from the first moment. A real highlight was the terrace with a breathtaking view of the sea – waking up in the morning with the sound of the waves, ending the day in the evening with this panorama... priceless! The proximity to the cosy tavern, which is run by the host family, was also particularly nice. The same warm, open atmosphere prevails there as in the accommodation. We spent wonderful evenings there with delicious traditional, regional Greek cuisine, live music and a lot of warmth. A place we think back to with a smile – and one we definitely want to come back to. A thousand thanks for everything!

Elpida, a dream house, definitely recommended. Not only the location and the view are sensational, but also the house itself. We (married couple 63/61) were able to enjoy Angelika's unobtrusive and warm hospitality in May 2025 and had a relaxing week in or above the beautiful village of Mochlos. We have absolutely nothing to complain about, on the contrary - we have rarely found such a great accommodation. Perfect furnishings and very well-equipped kitchen, always a shady spot and very pleasant insect protection. The steep ascent to the mountain is also no problem after the first exercise. The scent of the plants is simply wonderful. This is an exceptional house in a really fun neighborhood. Just outside the most touristy areas, so it felt great to go ”home”. Tassos was a responsive and helpful host.

We loved our stay! The apartment is located just on top of the Taverna and about 15 meters from the beach. Within 5 minutes walk there is also a yoga location offering amazing drop in classes. From the moment we drove into the town we were warmly greeted by the lambros family. We spent the next 5 days at the beach and taverna relaxing. It was a great experience and we truly felt part of the local community for the short period we stayed. I highly recommend it if you want to relax and do less rather than more! The apartment is spacious and provides all you need for your stay, including a washing machine. The bed was very comfortable and there was plenty of space to chill.

We had an awesome time at Nikos’s place, he gave very useful tips and his apartment is at walking distance from everything in Matala(as the village is very small). As mentioned in other posts, there are quite a few steps to the place but you get used to it, and it’s a great workout after a big dinner in one of the restaurants below. One of the days it was too windy to be on the beach so we stayed on the terrace of the accommodation with a great view of the sea, the sound of the waves and privacy from others. Perfect for a romantic getaway. Thank you Nikos!
