House holiday rentals in Custer

We absolutely love the home, our kids played in the pool every single day. Everybody said it felt just like home. We will definitely be back.

We had a great stay! Amanda always responds quickly and even allowed my family who were arriving much earlier than us to have access a couple of hours before check in time. The house is cozy and in a quiet neighborhood close to pretty much everything. We would definitely stay there again especially when the pool is available to swim in.

Amazing place! It’s right off the highway so easy to get to and such a gorgeous house. The beds were super comfy also! Perfect house to hangout at. The only downfall with being pet friendly is there is so much mud around the house. And the rocks are hard for a dog to walk on. But still recommend and will definitely stay again!

We really enjoyed or stay at Sarah's Airbnb. Everything you need is within walking distance, which was quite enjoyable. Although, it is on the edge of downtown, we had no issue with road noise, which was nice relative to the location. There is a grocery store across the street, so it was easy to walk over and buy food to prepare in the well equipped kitchen. The Pizza Mill restaurant was also across the street and there pizzas were outstanding. I would highly recommend this impendent and locally owned business. We also walked a block to breakfast one morning and ate at the Our Place restaurant. This locally owned breakfast diner was also a gem and had a wonderful hometown atmosphere. Further down the main street were several other shops and places to eat. The only negative issue with Sarah's pace was the narrow, steep, and winding stairwell to the second floor. None of our group over 50 felt comfortable staying upstairs. All and all a good stay.

We had a wonderful stay in this home. There were plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms for our group, a nice living/dining/kitchen area and a wonderful hot tub to use. Everything was comfortable and clean and it was in a great location for all of our various adventures to different parks in the area. Would highly recommend!

This was our first time to South Dakota. We wanted to bring an elderly family member to see Mount Rushmore and other historic sites in the area, since they had never been. The house was perfect, very private, out in the country, easy to get to, definitely quieter than in town, no steps, plenty of space, kitchen was well stocked as well as the bathrooms. Having 2 1/2 baths was a perk for the 4 of us in our party. We absolutely loved the deck with the table with the firepit. The nights cooled down, so we were able to enjoy it nightly. We ate out on the deck mostly, grilling steaks which saved money, morning coffee, and breakfast too. Kari was very responsive when asked quick questions and even touched base with us before our trek from 800+ miles away. I searched several Air BnB and VRBO places and this one was perfect. It was pretty much centrally located for all we wanted to do. Thank you, Kari, for being such a gracious host and helping to make our vacation a memorable one.

We absolutely loved Shelby’s place up in the Black Hills for our annual family vacation. The house was spectacular with lots of room for multiple families to spread out. The kitchen was fantastic for large family dinners and the hot tub and fire pit were great places to spend the evenings to reflect on each day’s adventures. The house was well stocked with dishes, utensils, and basic things like soap and a few cooking items, all of which we appreciated. This is a great house for your next family get together and I would absolutely stay again if we make it back to the Black Hills in the future.

A cozy home away from home. Cheri was responsive n flexible with move-in/move out. We all had a wonderful time as we celebrated my daughter’s wedding. The amenities were perfect. Would highly recommend this rental. Thank you for everything.

My daughters and I had a wonderful time in Custer, and Lindsey's place was the perfect touchdown spot. We rode horses, went hiking, and enjoyed the local restaurants. Returning home to the comfortable and well stocked AirBNB was relaxing and refreshing.

We were looking primarily for a place to sleep while we spent the days out exploring. This place was perfect for that. Simple, but everything you need to wind down after a busy day. And just a few minute drive to a really neat downtown area. Location felt safe.

We had a wonderful stay! Everything was very nice and clean. The host is very good with communication, making sure we had everything we needed and were comfortable. It was in good walking distance from food and drink. We had brought pac and plays for our children to sleep but, there were two there. They also had two sound machines for sleep which was very thoughtful! Highly recommend this host!

Our family enjoyed a fantastic weekend at The Brown House. We loved the location close to Custer State Park and also an easy drive to a grocery store. It surroundings were peaceful with a beautiful view over a meadow that had horses and deer. The house provided so many spaces for gathering both inside and out. We are already planning our return trip next year.

We have stayed at a lot of different places and this has been one of our favorites. The location was perfect for our trip to the Black Hills, including Custer State Park, Jewel Cave, and Wind Cave. The house was more than enough room for three adults. The kitchen was well stocked with what we needed. The house was clean and comfortable and a great value. We highly recommend staying here if you are in the area.

Great house for large family, it was very well stocked. Had fun hanging outside-able to see wildlife (turkey and deer) from the house. Well located in the black hills for a variety of day trips.

Stunning home! The windows!! Furnishings are lovely, kitchen supplied everything we needed, bedding was very nice. Bathrooms are all amazing! Clean clean clean! So comfortable and gorgeous we never wanted to leave. Very easy to go down to Lead and Deadwood and access to lots of great hiking. Cannot recommend this place enough!

We had a great stay at The Roots on Evergreen. Everything was perfect! The location was ideal for us as we visited both national and state parks in the area. After spending the days sightseeing, it was so nice to return to the apartment and relax. It more than met our needs. It was beautifully decorated and super clean. If ever in the area again, we would not hesitate to stay!

Wow! We can’t say enough about Change of Altitude!! This cozy and clean home, located in a beautiful mountain setting, had everything our family needed for our week in the Black Hills. Gary and Nancy are excellent communicators and made sure we were satisfied with our stay. The home is centrally located to all the Black Hills attractions, and was a great place to come back to after our busy days of exploration. Walt's Retreat was very easy to find and check in. The home was extremely clean and clutter free with plenty of plates, glasses, pots and silverware so we had everything we needed. The location is close to town but is very private with lots of acreage and a huge yard that has a tire swing my granddaughters loved. Shana was accessible, helpful and the perfect host. We would definitely stay again!

If you’re looking for a private getaway that’s still close to the big attractions in the Black Hills, this is the place. It’s totally private and the home is very spacious. The deck is awesome with a great view of the valley. The kitchen is massive and the best stocked I’ve seen. The house has plenty of games and activities for all ages. We were very impressed overall and would absolutely stay again. It was clean and the level of communication was awesome. If you’re reading this, stop scrolling and book this place; you won’t regret it!

This was a beautiful home with amazing surroundings. Lots of trees and wildlife. Sadly, a bluebird lost its life after crashing into the livingroom picture window. I would not hesitate to stay here again.

Our family of 6 stayed here for 5 nights for our stay to explore South Dakota. We visited Mt Rushmore, the Badlands and Custer State Park. The location worked really well for all of that. Amanda was so responsive and helpful. I had a few questions while packing and then some questions upon arrival. She responded within minutes with all kinds of helpful suggestions. The house itself was great with plenty of supplies like paper towels, laundry detergent, trash bags, and everything you would need. The deck was beautiful. We were out too late every day to use the grill but that would have been great. I highly recommend this property!
