Cottage holiday rentals in Cumberland

The house was amazing! It was perfect for our needs as our son was graduating, and it could accommodate those who made the trip, as we live 10 hours from Johnson City. David and Karen were responsive and accommodating. The extra space of the guest house and game room worked out wonderfully for additional guests and those who wanted to stay up later. Looking for a good workout, the steps up and down to the dock worked! Groceries and shopping are about 10-15 minutes away, and downtown Johnson City is about 20 minutes away. Hiking in Warrior State Park takes about 15-20 minutes, and the Cherokee National Forest Laurel Falls Headtrail is a 30-minute drive. Loved our stay, we would stay again!!

This stay was pure magic from start to finish. The view alone is worth the trip—expansive, peaceful, and utterly captivating. But as night fell, the hills transformed into something out of a dream. Fireflies sparkled in the darkness like a thousand camera flashes, nature’s own paparazzi capturing the moment. It was breathtaking—an enchanting light show that felt like it was just for us. Inside, the home was equally charming. The bedrooms were beautifully decorated and thoughtfully made up—each one felt like a cozy, curated retreat. We especially appreciated having a washer and dryer on-site (a true luxury while traveling) and winding down in the hot tub under the stars. The landscaping around the cabin was lovely, with sweet little birdhouses dotting the yard and a grand old tree that stretched over us like a protective canopy. Every detail, inside and out, felt intentional and full of heart. If you’re looking for a peaceful getaway that reconnects you with nature book here.

We enjoyed our 2nd time stay for the weekend. The house come equipped with the back essentials we needed. The back porch offers a beautiful view of the lake. the arean is calm and peaceful. Ashley was very responsive to get back with me. we would definitely stay again.

Wonderful place to stay. Close to many businesses and restaurants. Exactly as described. Very clean and comfortable. Comfortable bed and linens. She supplied shower essentials. Washer/dryer was a great bonus! Beautifully decorated. Highly recommend this place and would definitely stay again if I came to the area.

Such an easily accessible place—we were visiting family, and while the area is very remote, it’s also a quick-ish trip to Grundy, Pikeville, and our family in Feds Creek. Kids had a great time with plenty of space to be outside, and a firepit for s’mores. Beautiful view in the morning of the deer on the golf course.

It is such a beautiful property! Incredible Appalachian scenery, and so much interesting history around the inspiring Mary Breckenridge story. I would recommend The Cottage for anyone interested in experiencing the Kentucky mountains. This is not my first stay at The Cottage. I've hosted up to 6 adults, and it felt (as we would say in SE KY) plenty big! I can always count on a clean, comfortable, memorable experience at The Cottage. And Davida is THE BEST!

The Cozy Cottage is such a gem. It's quirky and fun while being super functional and comfortable. The outdoor space is amazing, with a nice private deck and a huge yard. Candace is incredibly responsive and accommodating. We love staying here!

Such a peaceful getaway! I had a great experience staying at the Blue Cottage. It's tucked away down a private road, which made it feel super quiet and secluded — perfect for relaxing. The place was really clean and cozy, with all the little touches that made it feel like home. I loved waking up each morning and spotting wildlife right outside. There's a cute café just five minutes away where I grabbed breakfast every day, which was super convenient. Overall, it was the perfect mix of comfort and nature. I'd definitely stay here again!

We had such a Wonderful Thanksgiving weekend in Sneedville with our family! Thank you for opening your beautiful home to us and our pups. It was exactly what we were looking for!! Not the best of circumstances to rent a place due to a funeral, but the place was perfect for our needs. Loved the house and location. James was very responsive when we had questions. Definitely will stay here again!

Leigh Ann has created a masterclass for southern hospitality in the AirBnB space — seriously we were so thrilled with our stay! The location was quiet and tucked away, exactly what we wanted, and within a stone’s throw from so many quaint and historical towns with tons of food and drink options. While we knew to expect extra toiletries and amenities, Leigh Ann took it up a notch with top of the line shampoos, body wash, and lotions along with extra toothbrushes, deodorant, and more. Can’t wait to come back for another restful experience with Leigh Ann!

Susan’s place was perfect and very clean! The community was quiet and the location was great! She was also flexible with check in times and had great communication! You can tell that she has worked hard to restore and preserve the history in her home. The decor is absolutely phenomenal. I wish I had an entire day just to enjoy all the beauty and books inside the home. We would absolutely stay here again any time!

This wasn't my first time at the alley house and definitely won't be my last. My absolute favorite place to stay in St. Paul. Jennifer is an excellent host.
