Rosie's Studio

Rosie's Studio is a very special place decorated with original paintings by the late Salt Spring Island artist - Rosemaria Behncke. This large, unique cottage/studio is situated on a 25 acre farm in the peaceful south end of beautiful Saltspring Island, close to parks, beaches, Fulford Shops and the Ferry Terminal. Relax in this quiet pastoral setting and enjoy the sweep of the ocean out to volcanic Mount Baker. We welcome families with children and pets. Update: Emily the duck has passed.

From our cottage, you can walk to this historic working farm and park, explore its forested trails, and then head to the many beach areas a short distance away. Visit farm stands and take the Studio Tour. Take a dip in one of many lakes. Climb Maxwell Mountain or stroll through the Saturday Market and other unique shops. Salt Spring is a true one of a kind.

Nearby, you’ll find charming farms and restaurants. The closest bus stop is 2 km away. Your suite includes a fridge, microwave, Keurig, and kettle for basic meal prep. No smoking or scented products, please!
