June 2017 added second Living Space area with view of adjacent farm and wood, Lobby area with Laundry facilities and a second bathroom. Please note the Grounds and external outdoor perimeter of The Barn is protected by CCTV TK Alarm Company. Please know this is a simple place. It once was out buildings, however you will find it warm and homely.

Only minutes from Slieve Donard and Newcastle beach. The Guest House situated in the centre of Newcastle, Co. Down. It is ideal for walkers and ramblers. It can accommodate up to 2 adults on a sofa bed (plus one child in a camp bed). Accommodation is dog friendly. Facilities include shower, TV, electric fire, fridge, coffee maker, kettle, microwave, toaster and washing machine. A basket of local homemade bread, cereals, milk and fruit is provided on arrival. Bicycles can be hired on request.

We are a 25min drive to the Mourne Mts, golf courses, and several beaches and 50min drive to Belfast. We are in walking distance of the National Trust's Castleward Estate. Strangford has several shops including a chemist, a newsagent, a cafe, convenience stores, pubs and restaurants as well as the ferry crossing to the Ards Peninsula. You can cycle/walk to the village through the Estate.

On the ground floor, a sitting/dining area and kitchen. On the upper floor a sleeping area with double bed , and shower room. There is also a sofa bed on the ground floor. Our 13 acre smallholding is a wildlife friendly oasis and guests are welcome to relax in the large garden or walk around the woodland and meadows.

The Wee House at Ballystockart Cottages

Enjoy your stay at Ballystockart Cottages the perfect place to get away from it all in luxurious and peaceful rural setting. The building was converted in 2002 from a working corn mill and retains original features, giving it a quirky cottage feel. The cottage is self contained and has its own entrance, only your party will have access during your stay. We are part of tourism NI and are a registered tourist property.
