Cottage on the beach

The cottage is right on the shore. It is self contained with a kitchen area and small bathroom. The twin beds, on a mezzanine floor, can be hooked up to make a super king-sized bed. Guests will have access to the beach and a garden area. Parking is on site. Although there is no washing machine, I can wash clothes for guests in my house which is next door. I live next door and will interact with guests as much or as little as they wish. I am usually at home, but if I am travelling I will arrange for a neighbour to keep contact with my guests. Coney Island is between Ardglass and Killough. There are shops and restaurants in both. It is under an hour from Belfast and within sight of the Mourne Mountains and Newcastle. Ardglass has a golf course and there are lots of opportunities locally for walking, fishing and watersports. Public transport is limited, but possible. There is a bus from Dublin airport with a connection to Downpatrick. There is a bus from both Belfast airports with connections to Downpatrick, about six miles from Coney Island. If I am home I will pick up guests from Downpatrick. Taxi fare is around £10. The upper floor is accessible to able bodied adults and children, but would present problems to anyone with mobility problems. (See Pic)

Relax and unwind in our cosy space in the heart of the Mournes. We are at the foot of the Ulster way, with the track to the Mourne mountains in one direction and Tollymore forest in the other a stroll is always sanctioned! Despite our seclusion, we are just 10 minutes from the M1 motorway, 1 hour from Dublin and within easy reach of the major historical sites of Meath, Louth, Cavan and Monaghan. Double bed in bedroom with beautiful views over the countryside from both the lounge and bedroom. All facilities that you would need if working nearly or for a country break. Wifi available in apartment. Public transport is good into centre of Belfast, Holywood and Bangor but a car is more convenient.

we are almost finished converting the old school house building, with stunning views of countryside, windmill etc. we have completed Phase 1 which provides 3 chalet type rooms - guest have use of internal courtyard .
