Our stay here in March was absolutely wonderful. A beautiful cabin in the nearby mountains of Sandpoint. Humble, peaceful, and tranquil; exactly what we needed in order to recharge during our spring break from college in the city. We highly recommend this stay for all travelers. Mike is a terrific host—thorough and clear w instructions, proactive, friendly—and his place suited our needs beautifully (convenient to Schweitzer ski resort, which exceeded our expectations!) :) A truly memorable mid-winter ski break w my 17 yr-old twins thanks in large part to Mike and his wonderful accommodations!

Lake Affect Retreat is an absolutely beautiful and stunning home. The pictures don't do it justice. The home is nestled among tall trees and sits just right at the lake's edge. We were able to watch bald eagles and other wildlife while relaxing on the porch. We BBQ steaks, soaked in the hottub, and used their kayaks for a fun filled weekend. Deon and Christopher were excellent hosts; friendly and always available for any needs we may have needed. Her banana bread is delicious and was a kind welcoming. I would recommend staying here!
