Pet-friendly holiday rentals in Cortez

We had trouble with the lockbox not working but Bill and Monica were responsive. There was a slight delay and a little bit of worry but it was all taken care of within 30 minutes. The home is lovely! Sleeping with the windows open next to the river was cooling and induced a deep sleep. I love sitting on the patio and bird watching in the morning.

Thanks for a great place to stay, again, for us and our pups!!! The weather was perfect this past weekend, and our pups totally loved the yard, as usual. Loved everything in the house!!! Always warm and welcoming and always have everything we need!! We had a few struggles with the TV Spectrum remote, but finally managed just fine. Thanks again!!!!

This was our favorite property we've ever had as an airbnb guest. The property's pictures maybe didn't even do it justice; when we were looking for a property with open space and good for our two doggos, it looked like the property was pretty flat, but open. It isn't really flat the 40 acres had hills and fun natural barriers out from the patio. The views were INCREDIBLE no matter where you were sitting. The property was extremely clean. Fun welcome basket for Easter and consistent friendly communication. You could hear a pin drop, it was so quiet. We just marveled at how "alone" we felt. Also, we were pleasantly surprised that the property is gated and fenced; it felt secluded and safe. We also saw a couple deer on the property one morning. Lastly, there's lots to do near this property. Mesa Verde is about 25 min away, and Dolores and Cortez had fun restaurants and we did a great hike north of Dolores (Boggy Draw). If you want a quiet vacay, you need to consider the property!

Had a great time! The place was beautiful and really peaceful. Views are stunning and the cabin was bigger than we were expecting! Great back field for our dog to run around. Would definitely recommend and would love to come back!

Bill is an awesome host and his Airbnb is amazing. Great views, great location, felt like home as we walked in. Beds were comfy with great linen and he was just a text away. We would definitely stay here again.Thank you for the great experience. The holiday decorations were a nice touch and our stay was wonderful.

We really appreciated the extra thoughtful touches provided by this eco-friendly Airbnb. Very clean. Kitchen adequately stocked with dishes for cooking. Kids dishes. Water bowl for our dog. Lip balm and moisturizer. Very comfortable place to stay and centrally located between Mesa Verde and Canyons of the Ancients. It’s comfortable if not fancy.

This place was so lovely, quiet and beautiful. We spent so much time on the deck looking down into Cortez. It had all the amenities described and that one would need. It has a lot of nice touches (art pieces…nod to Julia there) that make it very welcoming. We stayed for several days and very much enjoyed it. Julia and her husband were so kind and responsive. They went above and beyond. They provided support for us as well when we ran into an unfortunate experience of a car breakdown. It was not expected of them as hosts but they helped make a tricky situation for us much more manageable!

This was our second visit to this comfortable and clean apartment. The convenient location and parking allows easy access to downtown Mancos. The host was very responsive to our needs. We really appreciated the ability to bring our dog with us.

Cille's off grid home was lovely. it was a very comfortable stay for all of us in our party. we were traveling with three children and they loved playing on the land. it was amazing. we would definitely stay here again. Even though it's off-grid the Wi-Fi worked perfectly. there was plenty of cooking supplies in the kitchen to be able to cook without having to buy pots and pans. It's super quiet at this rental. I highly recommend it.

To say this place was amazing would be an understatement. I stayed here with my 6- and 9-year-old children and my sister-in-law, and from the moment we arrived, it felt like stepping back into time. The kids were immediately captivated by all the fun things to explore and play with—there was something around every corner to spark their imagination. We had the entire camp to ourselves, which made the experience even more special. Between the cozy sauna, outdoor games, and a great selection of indoor games, there was never a dull moment. One of the highlights of our trip was spending the day in nearby Silverton visiting the gold mines. When we returned, the kids said this place felt like “living in the old times”—they truly didn’t want to leave! I only wish this gem was closer to our home because If it were, we’d be back in a heartbeat. This is a place we’ll remember fondly and hope to return.

This is a very rustic gem away from everything, I absolutely loved how peaceful and quiet it was and I’ve never seen so many stars at night in my life! Elena was incredibly friendly and the hospitality was phenomenal!

Kathleen's place is the best. It is a ranch house situated on a minor knoll with views of distant valleys and farmland to the west/southwest, Ute Mtns/Mesa Verde to the south, and the La Plata range to the southeast. Despite it being an active alpaca farm, the home and property are quiet and calm. The drive to Dolores is about 5 minutes and would be about a 15 minute bike ride on low traffic roads. Kathleen was also very nice when we met her feeding her alpacas. Thank you for the wonderful stay, Kathleen!

The house and location was absolutely beautiful! We had our wedding here and it was perfect! Even in the rain! Pictures did not do the view justice! The septic seemed to have a couple issues our last night from doing laundry but other than that I have no complaints! My whole family loved this cabin!

Adam and Shelly are such amazing hosts! The ranch is beautiful and secluded, but also quite convenient for visiting Mesa Verde National Park. Relaxing in the hot tub overlooking the mountains after a day of exploring the area was the perfect way to end each day. This was also one of the most well appointed Airbnbs I’ve been to — they really thought of every detail! Our hosts gave us some great local recommendations and we loved meeting the animals on the ranch too. Would definitely stay again!

Lovely home enjoyed every aspect of it. The kitchen very well stocked plenty of linens extra blankets fans in every room. The TVs were amazing. I would suggest it to anyone who didn't mind a little bit of a drive but that gave us the privacy and was excellent.

The view from this place was absolutely breathtaking!!! And on a clear night, the stars were abundant and bright! Overall this cute place had all the space our two families needed. They opened up the extra bedroom for us downstairs because of our numbers and it was perfect. We didn't end up using the pool table or games, but it was such a cool space to hang!

Highly recommend. The hosts were very responsive, although there was a minor issue they fixed it immediately, very well done. Other than that the house was clean, spacious and comfy. One downside of the area is that WiFi is basically non existing, not the host fault it’s just the area doesn’t have good service, so no movie or tv watching, but you can watch the stars and play board games. All in all 5 stars

We found this place as it was close to my realtives we were visiting. It was very roomy and had everything we needed. Close to town, shops, restaurants and it was very easy to navigate the area. It has some beautiful views of the mountains as well. Harry and Michelle were very respnsive with questions we had. We will definately come back when in the area!

Wonderful private location with beautiful stunning views and we found it very convenient and relaxing having the fenced area off the deck for our dogs. The lake provided a peaceful view from the house and deck and we enjoyed seeing the boats and water-skiers. This location is really dreamy and we found the house and furnishings to be in great shape. Mark provided special effort when something was left behind by us and mailed it promptly to our home address. Thanks so much Mark! Overall a very nice and pleasant experience!!
